The New Reality Mode Route Has Dropped
Is this really that hard? I was just watching a newbie stream called Haerang, and out of nowhere this completely new route popped up. No joke.
The guy picked the greatsword in the tutorial—something literally nobody uses in Reality Mode—and then he actually killed both of those damn lizards. The second he reached the outpost, Dante showed up. I was already losing it, but then the streamer straight-up asked the blind old man how he could see anything and started being rude as hell. It was hilarious.
They said he was a total newbie, but damn, newbies really do the craziest things.

Hurry up and go watch it.
Changing the in-game time from night to morning was easy. All I had to do was lie down in bed. After adjusting the time, I followed Reina toward the blacksmith workshop.
That was when it happened.
The viewer count for Bbangbbang-i 2 suddenly shot up from the middle of the stream, and the chat window was scrolling like crazy.
‘Where the hell are all these people coming from?’ I wondered, until I remembered the chat about the gallery going wild earlier.
‘Looks like they’re flooding in from there.’
I gave a light wave and greeted the new viewers.
“Haha. We’ve got a lot of new faces all of a sudden? I saw some chat about the gallery blowing up earlier. Did you all come from there?”
“Lizards?”
I finally realized what they were talking about. They must have shortened the name to just “lizard” for convenience.
“Oh, those lizard guys? Yeah, that’s right.”
Could you tell us how you caught those lizards?
“Thank you for the 1,000 won donation, Copybara. How did I catch them? Just dodge all their attacks and hit them hard when you strike.”
Can you explain it a bit more specifically?
Specific, huh.
‘There’s really nothing more to explain… what should I do?’
Since they were spending money on donations, I couldn’t just ignore them. In the end, I started explaining as slowly and kindly as I would to a complete beginner.
“Thank you for the 10,000 won donation, Copybara. I’ll explain from the beginning. Domagirius—those lizard monsters—are basically giant lizards, right?”
“Their movement patterns are pretty limited. They can only bite with their mouths, swing their tails, or charge at you with their bodies.”
“Oh, there was a gimmick like that? I didn’t know. Anyway, if you watch their toes carefully, you can predict how they’re going to move. Just dodge based on that.”
‘This should be enough explanation, right?’
Satisfied with my own explanation, I could only nod. No matter how I thought about it, it was extremely beginner-friendly.
The reactions kept coming, and it didn’t look like anyone actually understood my explanation.
‘Is this really that hard?’
I was about to open my mouth to explain in even more detail when—
“Newbie’s here.”
Reina’s voice from up ahead made me swallow the rest of my words.
“I’ll finish explaining later.”
After briefly explaining the situation to the viewers, I turned my head. Before me stretched a vast blacksmith workshop centered around a massive furnace, radiating intense heat. Even though I hadn’t stepped inside yet, the scorching air washed over my face.
Clang!
“Hold it properly!!”
Clang!
“You old bastard!! Your hands are slipping!!! Move faster!!”
The sound of hammers striking iron mixed with angry shouts, echoing throughout the workshop.
This was the only active blacksmith workshop in the First Outpost. All the materials hunters gathered were supposedly forged into weapons here.
“Shall we go in?” Reina asked. I nodded.
“Yeah.”
The moment I followed her inside the workshop—
Whoosh—
The heat hit me even harder than before. I couldn’t help but squint.
“Oh! Reina! It’s been a while!!”
With a hearty voice, muscular, bearded men started appearing from all directions.
“What?! Reina’s back?”
“Where, where?”
“Did you bring good iron?!”
“Alcohol!!”
Seeing them, Reina pressed a hand to her forehead.
“It’s been a while. I brought everything you need, so please speak one at a time. My ears hurt…”
“What?!”
“We can’t hear you!!! Speak louder!!!”
“I said I brought everything so please talk one at a time!!!”
At Reina’s loud shout, they paused for a moment before bursting into hearty laughter.
“Your personality hasn’t changed at all!! Reina!!”
“That’s our Reina!!”
Before I knew it, Reina was completely surrounded by half-naked old men. I was wondering if I should pull her out when she calmly started taking things out of her bag.
“Phil, here’s the alcohol you wanted. It’s from the north so please drink it sparingly. The iron Mr. Baek asked for will be sent to the workshop in the morning. And Jack—”
Was this what social skills looked like? Even as I sighed, watching her deliver exactly what each person needed showed just how well she fit in here. It was a surprisingly reliable, senior-like side of her.
“So who’s that friend behind Reina?”
“Ah.”
Thanks to the man called Phil, we could finally get to the reason we came here.
“This is our newbie. By the way, where’s Mr. Tom?”
“Tom? That guy’s probably inside making weapons right now. Why are you looking for him?”
“We want to have a weapon made.”
“Huh? A weapon?”
Phil asked with a puzzled look. Reina calmly explained.
“Our newbie needs a weapon.”
“Isn’t your newbie the new guild receptionist?”
“Well, yes, but…”
Reina scratched her head, hesitating as if she wasn’t sure how to explain.
“Our newbie received a scouting offer from Grandpa Dante asking if he wanted to become a hunter. So we need a weapon for the test.”
“This scrawny-looking kid got scouted by old man Dante?!”
Phil and the other blacksmiths stared at me with intrigued eyes.
They slowly walked toward me. Seeing them approach shirtless, I unconsciously took a step back.
“Hey, stay still!!”
“If old man Dante scouted you, you must be pretty amazing, right?”
“So what weapon do you need? Dual blades? Bow? Longsword? Just say the word!!”
The situation was almost identical to what Reina had gone through earlier, and the chat window exploded again.
The old men’s sparkling eyes as they got closer felt more threatening than any monster. Especially with their sweaty, glistening scalps.
It didn’t look like this would end anytime soon, so I quickly told them what I needed.
“A greatsword.”
“A greatsword?!”
They looked shocked at my answer.
“With that body?!”
“Not dual blades? Really a greatsword?”
“You must have misspoken!!”
You know about greatswords. They’re f.u.c.k.i.n.g.f.u.n.
Seeing their doubtful attitudes, I kindly repeated myself.
“No, I really want a greatsword.”
They all looked like they had more to say. The one called Jack was about to speak when—
“Back off. Stop bothering our newbie!!”
Reina jumped in and pushed them apart.
“Ahem, sorry about that.”
“Ahem…”
“We got too excited when we heard old man Dante scouted him.”
They awkwardly cleared their throats and looked away. Reina sighed as if she was used to this.
“Haa, seriously… It’s fine. Just make the weapon already. Anyway, Mr. Tom is busy right now, right? You three look pretty free. Why don’t you make it?”
“Well, we could, but…”
“Do you have the materials?”
At their question, Reina glanced at me. She was clearly signaling me to take out the materials.
I pulled out the Domagirius materials from the bag I’d brought.
“Here.”
“Whoa, Domagirius materials.”
“The quality’s good.”
“No kidding. Looks like he took them down without much of a fight.”
“So this is why old man Dante scouted him!!”
“His skills must be outstanding!!”
As soon as I handed over the materials, their eyes sparkled as they examined them. The three of them huddled together and whispered for a moment before saying,
“Come back around lunchtime!!”
“You said a greatsword, right? Just leave it to us!!!”
“It’s been a while since we’ve had materials this good… We’re getting fired up!!!!”
After saying we understood, we left the workshop with Reina. She spoke apologetically.
“Sorry. The old guys get really excited. Whenever a hunter who’ll actually use their weapons appears, they go crazy like that.”
“You must be close with them?”
At my question, Reina smiled softly. Her slightly protruding canines peeked out between her lips.
“Well, I’ve known them since I was little. They’re like family.”
She stretched lightly and looked at me.
“They said to come back around lunchtime, so shall we get something to eat first?”
This time I smiled at her words.
“Sounds good. I’ve been wanting to try it.”
“Then let’s go!”
I slowly followed behind her as she hummed cheerfully.
Food made by cat people. I was actually a little excited.
