Chapter 76: Nothing Special, Just Official
Rana quietly approached the sofa where Kim Jun and Mari were sitting.
With a mischievous grin, she leaned in and slyly asked,
"Did you two get up and grab something to eat?"
"Yeah, Mari made some onigiri."
"Just that?"
"And some water?"
"Hmmm~?"
She pressed her nose against Kim Jun's body, sniffing as if she already knew everything.
"Sniff sniff—smells like you had something else."
"What're you talking about?"
"You were just eating Mari unnie a little while ago…"
At that moment, spotting Mari breaking into a cold sweat beside Kim Jun, Rana wagged her finger.
"But I won't say more with the lady herself right here."
Having sized up the situation at a glance, Rana hummed a little tune as she leisurely eyed the pair.
Do Kyung, who followed her in, grabbed a bottle of chilled water from the fridge and let out a long sigh.
"Haa~"
She'd caught on too, and shot Mari and Kim Jun a look.
"I trusted you, Mari unnie, after Gaya unnie and Emily…"
"Um, wait…"
Mari tried to speak up, but Do Kyung just shrugged.
"Whatever. You're all accomplices anyway."
"Uh, y-yeah?"
Do Kyung traced a circle in the air with her finger, then pointed her other index finger at it.
"You've all done it here, right?"
"…Yeah, true."
Rana, Do Kyung, and Mari—they were all that close with Kim Jun.
And two of the three had even shared their first time with him.
The two girls, fresh from farm work and knitting, suddenly felt the itch now that the topic had come up.
"So you pulled an all-nighter and went at it again this morning?"
"Look, it's like…"
Mari started to explain, but Kim Jun raised his hand.
"Yeah, we went hard."
"And you didn't even come find me after?"
"Uh… about that reason?"
Since their playful hookup in the camper van, he and Do Kyung hadn't had another chance alone.
And Rana, still smiling coyly, clearly hadn't lost interest since their intense threesome last time.
"Well… I should wash up and head back up."
Mari flashed an awkward smile and bolted for the bathroom.
Do Kyung drained her water bottle and whispered to Kim Jun.
"So, tonight?"
"Sure."
To placate her, Kim Jun promised her the night.
She grinned like she'd been waiting for it, then headed back downstairs to the farm work with renewed energy.
Now alone with Rana, she glanced at the clock and stood slowly.
"Do Kyung unnie gets you tonight?"
"Y-yeah."
"Guess I need to freshen up too, then."
"Mari just went in?"
"Nah~ There's another bathroom upstairs?"
"…!"
Kim Jun glanced from the living room toward his master bedroom. Rana nodded, and he quietly rose, scooping up her slender frame in one smooth motion.
"Kyaa~"
Rana squealed as Kim Jun carried her like a mannequin into the bedroom.
Draped over his shoulder, her tight leggings hugged her firm ass right in his line of sight.
By the time Mari finished her quick shower, changed, and left, round two was already underway in the bedroom.
That evening, the mood was exceptionally lively.
"You girls really chow down during these meals."
Emily burst the yolk of her fried egg, mixing it with sesame oil and rice, beaming with happiness.
The crunch of the fresh pickled cabbage from their downstairs hydroponics made it an even more appetizing spread.
If not for the zombie wave defense the other day, they might've felt like they were on a long vacation at a cozy rural pension, not in the apocalypse.
"Everyone's pitching in great, but let's conserve water a bit."
Everyone turned to Gaya.
"Since Jun oppa fixed the well pump last time, we've been using too much."
"Ah, sorry. I showered out of nowhere today."
Mari raised her hand first in apology, and Eun Ji chimed in quietly.
"When the water first cut out, we took turns with buckets for showers, rationing for three days straight."
"I never saw you shower, Eun Ji unnie."
Emily teased, but Eun Ji just gave her a deadpan stare.
Unlike the others, Kim Jun had never caught Eun Ji coming out of the shower either.
She wasn't dirty—quite the opposite. She was obsessively clean, always scented with lotion and body wash, her hair glossy, and she handled cleaning and laundry religiously.
Does she hate showering with the other girls?
Kim Jun observed the dynamics.
The well pump pulled up groundwater for irrigation. They avoided using it for drinking water as a precaution, saving it for laundry and washing up—but conservation was smart.
Groundwater's great while it lasts, but who knows how long that'll be.
Kim Jun pondered their options.
"But what if the groundwater runs dry? What then?"
Nanika asked softly, and the room fell silent, all eyes on Kim Jun.
He thought for a moment, then replied calmly.
"Keep stocking bottled water. Worst case, we'll haul from the river."
"That… drinkable?"
Rana, smiling serenely since the afternoon defense skirmish, asked.
Mari added,
"Boil it once and filter… for drinking…"
"It's fine. I've tried it."
Eun Ji's words hushed the room, but Kim Jun backed her up.
"Can't if zombies start rotting in it upstream."
"Accounted for that."
Kim Jun finished his bowl and said,
"Anyway, since it's come up—conserve water. No one's griping about basics like washing or drinking."
Everyone nodded.
One of the top stars muttered under her breath,
Guess I need wet wipes ready.
That night, the girl who met Kim Jun at dawn in the camper van had wiped herself down with a body wash-soaked cloth—and reeked of it.
The next morning, after rotating through three girls and feeling utterly drained, Kim Jun sat down for breakfast.
"Sorry, but I've got one complaint."
In Ah, ever the unflappable one, spoke up irritably first thing.
"What's up, In Ah?"
"The bathroom. My stomach's been killing me since dawn."
"Told you to use the camper's."
"Emily unnie was showering in there all morning."
In Ah clutched her aching belly. She'd barely managed the camper toilet, but it was still a hassle.
"Can't do much about bathrooms."
Even if Kim Jun rigged a traditional outhouse, the hygiene and waste disposal would contaminate the shelter worse.
They settled on a first-come, first-served rotation for early risers.
But In Ah dropped another bomb.
"And cleaning's slacking lately."
"Hm?"
"The camper reeks like something funky inside…"
"…"
Clink.
"Cough! Cough!"
Do Kyung suddenly choked and turned away coughing. Emily, who'd shared the camper bathroom with In Ah, addressed the odor she'd noticed too.
"Right? Smells like someone mated in there."
"Pfft—"
Not just any word—mated. Mari and Gaya spat out their food; Nanika barely swallowed, her face flushing crimson.
Kim Jun pointed at Emily, the blatant accomplice.
"Watch your mouth."
"You did it again yesterday, huh?"
"…"
"What'd you do?"
In Ah's face hardened as she scanned her unnies.
The eight top stars were splitting: those who'd done it with Kim Jun versus those who hadn't.
Normally, big sis Gaya would've calmed things, but even she stayed silent.
She'd been Kim Jun's first partner, after all.
As the others desperately tried to shut Emily's ticking bomb mouth, Eun Ji, sipping water quietly, spoke up.
"No big deal."
She smiled faintly at Kim Jun.
"Oppa doesn't need to hide it."
"Phew~"
"Everyone'll find out eventually anyway."
Kim Jun apologized to In Ah first.
"Sorry, same as last time. Didn't clean up properly."
"Ah, so that… smell was… yeah."
She'd already seen Mari and Kim Jun emerging from a room that morning while prepping breakfast.
Watching Eun Ji, Gaya, Mari, and the others' reactions, In Ah sighed deeply.
"Got it. Mari unnie and Jun oppa… uh, okay."
"Could be someone else."
Emily fanned the flames again.
"Huh? Not just Mari unnie, but more…?"
In Ah looked around; three avoided her eyes.
"Gaya unnie, Mari unnie… and Nanika?"
Not one or two, but several dodging her gaze. In Ah's face hardened again, a mix of contempt and dismay.
She stood quietly.
"Pass your dishes to those who've eaten for washing."
"Hey, In Ah…"
"Yeah~ We'll talk later."
She snatched the empty bowls and dashed to the living room.
Her burning face and chest wouldn't calm.
Crazy… like some Japanese porn? Rotating through multiple girls under one roof?
She got couples, but this? Her heart raced harder.
"Whatever, not my business…"
Eun Ji finished her meal calmly and grabbed a dishrag.
The covert game of glances was out in the open now.
