Don't Forget Me
Kim Jun headed out for a supply run with Mari, searching for a gas station.
“Looks like we can’t go to the usual spot.”
“Yes. I’ll just follow wherever you go, oppa.”
Mari simply followed Kim Jun’s lead as he drove, leaving the routing entirely up to him while offering to help once they arrived.
Kim Jun smiled at her attitude and began looking for a different gas station.
This time, he was truly determined to protect the girls, so he had prepared additional weapons as well.
‘Just try coming at me, you bastards.’
He stroked the new weapon resting beside the driver’s seat and set off toward the gas station.
The place Kim Jun chose was a remote gas station located past the underpass road he had raided countless times before.
It was the same station Gaya and In Ah had visited with him once, but they had passed it by after overextending themselves while gathering food and fuel.
“Haa~ Fuck. Last time there were so many zombies we had to skip it…”
“…Wow, there really are a lot.”
These damn zombies seemed to have claimed the area like a dog marking its territory; the corpses were still piled up.
But now, Kim Jun and his group had no choice but to go all in.
He first picked up the air gun and shotgun, then began sniping from a distance.
Ting—
With the sharp twang of the air gun’s spring, Kim Jun precisely picked off the running zombies first. Once he confirmed only walkers remained, he slowly stepped out of the vehicle.
Just as Mari tried to follow, Kim Jun shouted.
“Stay inside!”
“Eek?!”
Mari froze in surprise at his sudden yell.
Kim Jun gestured for her to stay put and watch carefully, then pulled out the new weapon he had prepared.
It was heavy, the thick bundle weighing down his belt.
He had used up all his pistol rounds last time. Instead of the shotgun or air gun, what he pulled from the pouch at his waist were the nuts he had stockpiled from the hardware store.
The hexagonal 24mm nuts were the size of a thumb—commonly used at construction sites.
Kim Jun took one out, assumed a baseball pitcher’s stance, and swung with full force.
Shwooooo—
Thwack!
The nut flew like a small cannonball and smashed straight into the head of a slow-walking zombie.
Groooan—
He hurled another nut at the zombie charging toward him.
He had considered using the bayonet throwing technique he learned from a senior during his deputy sergeant days, but carrying bladed weapons everywhere was impractical. Instead, he chose these heavy nuts for throwing.
Even against a living person, they could shatter bones. Their destructive power far exceeded that of an ordinary rock.
Crunch!
When one struck a zombie directly in the face, its teeth exploded outward as it collapsed.
Though it was his first time using them, Kim Jun quickly realized how effective they were. After throwing ten nuts and taking down three zombies, he figured he could add them as a suppression option.
Then, as another zombie rushed straight at him, Kim Jun coolly drew the air gun slung over his shoulder and put a pellet through its forehead.
Next, he pulled out a pair of stockings from his belt.
These were the ones he had grabbed during that intense night with Rana. He doubled up the torn stockings, stuffed three remaining nuts inside, and tied them off.
When he swung it around, the range increased dramatically, turning it into an excellent blackjack. He brought it down hard on the head of a staggering zombie that had been hit by a nut.
Crack— Thud—
The effect was tremendous.
Although it became a one-use weapon each time because it got drenched in zombie blood, at least he had more than enough nuts compared to bullets. He no longer needed to waste two shots just to confirm a kill.
“All clear! You can come out now!”
At Kim Jun’s shout, Mari—who had watched the entire gruesome scene—calmed her pounding heart and carefully stepped out with her backpack on.
No matter how many zombies she saw, watching human-shaped creatures get their skulls smashed one by one until the ground became a sea of blood was not something she could easily get used to.
She followed Kim Jun, carefully stepping only on patches of ground not soaked in blood.
Kim Jun examined the gas station, which had been abandoned for so long that sticky blood had dried everywhere.
“Oppa! There’s a convenience store right next to it!”
“We’ll check it out after we get the fuel.”
After confirming the small convenience store beside the station, Kim Jun went inside and began gathering fuel.
Before using the pumps, he found cans of kerosene, gasoline, and diesel meant for sale. He located a nearby handcart and began stacking them neatly.
“This place is a total treasure trove, huh?”
Not only was there fuel for engines, but also engine oil, cleaners, washer fluid, and—perhaps the true flowers of any gas station—boxes upon boxes of tissue packs and bottled water.
“We’ll be set for this winter.”
“Winter?”
“Ah…”
Mari had absentmindedly mentioned lasting through the winter while looting. Though Kim Jun asked again, he decided it was best to stock up heavily considering the future.
Kim Jun took the lead checking the items from the gas station while Mari pushed the handcart, filling the camper van.
After making three full trips’ worth of fuel, Kim Jun dusted off his hands and headed for the convenience store.
“Let’s go!”
“Yes, oppa!”
With plenty of fuel secured, it was time to do some serious grocery shopping at the convenience store.
Just in case, Kim Jun first checked through the glass window. He told Mari to wait, then slowly opened the glass door and stepped inside.
“Anyone here?”
There was no way a zombie would answer… but there was movement near the counter.
Groooooar!
“Ugh, shit!”
The moment the zombie wearing a convenience store uniform lunged at him, Kim Jun pulled a nut from his belt and hurled it.
Crack!
The nut shot, thrown at close range instead of using the long-barreled shotgun, blew the former employee zombie’s head clean off. Two more quick throws and the staggering creature collapsed, unable to rise again.
“Hoo…”
Kim Jun told the trembling Mari—who had been shaking behind him—to wait, then spotted bleach among the store items. He grabbed it, twisted the cap off, and poured it all over the zombie lying by the counter.
A cigarette display was visible right in front of him, but seeing it splattered with blood, he decided to leave the cigarettes behind.
While Kim Jun gathered items inside the store, he had Mari wait outside.
First, he took beverages—bottled water, cola, soju—and then seasonings like sugar, salt, cooking oil, and gochujang.
He filled a shopping basket generously and handed it to Mari outside the door. She immediately pulled out a foldable duffel bag from her backpack and began neatly packing the goods into both bags.
Next, he gathered canned foods that In Ah had emphasized for side dishes.
From the convenience store’s selection, he loaded up on perilla leaves, whelks, Pacific saury, silkworm pupae, tuna, Spam, and more until both duffel bags were bulging.
He also packed ramen, somen noodles, glass noodles, seaweed, gim, gum, flour, and everything else until the bags he had brought today were completely full. Just before leaving, Kim Jun spotted the medicine shelf.
He grabbed Beaze, Tylenol, vitamins, Panpyrin, and Povidone, then noticed a box of condoms nearby. After glancing at Mari’s face, he grabbed a large quantity of those too.
Kim Jun filled both prepared bags, plus the shopping basket and convenience store bags, then loaded everything onto the handcart and carried it to the camper van.
He wanted to take more, but the interior was already packed tight, and the strong smell of gasoline was making his head spin.
“Let’s head back.”
“Yes!”
Unlike the first time when he had been nervous, today’s supply run had yielded an enormous amount of supplies. His heart felt full and secure.
“If every run could go this smoothly, that’d be perfect.”
“Yes, we’re really lucky.”
After successfully gathering so much, Kim Jun felt like lighting a celebratory cigarette, but thinking of all the fuel cans stacked in the cargo area, he held himself back.
The road home was also surprisingly peaceful.
He thought that as long as they could unload today’s haul safely inside the house, they would be good.
“Kyaaa?!”
“What the—?”
“Oppa! Behind us, behind us!”
“!?”
When Kim Jun checked the rearview mirror, he saw a swarm of running zombies suddenly closing in.
“What the fuck? Why are there so many?”
Until now, the ratio of runners to walkers had been about 1:10, so he had been able to snipe the occasional runner with pinpoint accuracy. But now over ten runners were charging at them.
And they showed no signs of tiring. They dodged obstacles left and right, relentlessly pursuing the slow-moving camper van.
“God damn it!”
Kim Jun had no pistol rounds left. To deal with them, he first needed to create some distance.
They were less than a kilometer from home. If he ignored them and drove straight in, he would live in constant fear of runners popping out during the next supply run.
Kim Jun first lured them to the intersection, then immediately spun the vehicle around and aimed his gun.
Instead of the shotgun, he raised the air gun toward the zombies sprinting like marathon runners.
One wrong spark here and the whole thing would turn into a massive explosion.
Ting—
With the sound of compressed air releasing, the lead pellet pierced a zombie’s head, but it didn’t fall. It thrashed violently in place.
Kim Jun immediately switched to the air pistol as the next zombie leaped over its comrade and charged.
This one had better rapid-fire capability than the single-shot air rifle. Every time a pellet struck, the running zombies flinched. Kim Jun shouted.
“Mari! There should be some bleach among the stuff we picked up today!”
“Yes?! Ah! I’ll find it!”
Unsure how effective it would be, he told Mari to grab a bottle of bleach. While slowly reversing the van and turning it again, he added.
“Just open the cap and throw it outside!”
“Got it!”
The moment Mari opened the window and tried to open the bleach, the cap wouldn’t budge.
“You have to push and twist it!”
“!”
Because of the child-safety cap, Mari fumbled in her panic. Meanwhile, the zombies drew closer and closer.
Just as she finally managed to open it and hurled the bottle toward the window, a zombie appeared right in front of her.
“Kyaaaack?!”
She threw it with all her strength and frantically hit the window switch. One zombie was struck by the flying bleach bottle and froze.
Groooan— Kuuuuurgh!!!!
Kyaaaaaaa!!
When the bleach bottle hit the ground and rolled after splashing one zombie, the acrid smell of chemicals burning flesh filled the air.
Kim Jun immediately accelerated forward. As the zombies tried to chase, they tripped over the rolling bottle, tangled with each other, and stumbled. By then, the camper van had already left them far behind in the rearview mirror.
“Hoo…”
“Haa… haa…”
“Sorry. I really wanted today’s run to end safely.”
“N-no, it’s okay.”
Having faced genuine terror head-on during their second supply run, Mari took deep breaths to calm her thundering heart.
They had been so close—just one kilometer—yet they ended up circling near the house multiple times. Kim Jun slowly sniped the zombies with the air gun until none could run anymore. By the time they finally returned, the sky had already grown dark.
Kim Jun called all the girls out and had them neatly stack the fuel cans they brought today in one corner of Warehouse 1.
He covered them with fire-resistant blankets used for welding, warned them strictly about fire safety, and only then stepped back out.
He had In Ah sort and distribute the remaining food. Once the girls had gone inside, one task still remained for Kim Jun.
“Ugh~ The smell of gasoline.”
Even though the cans were supposedly sealed, the rough driving must have caused a leak somewhere. The inside of the camper van reeked so badly it made his head spin.
Kim Jun went inside, grabbed a few packs of cigarettes and a spray bottle filled with water mixed with toothpaste, and headed out to clean.
At that moment, one of the idols who had been watching quietly came out, saying she would help.
“Um…”
“What’s up? Something happen inside?”
Nanika approached timidly, carrying a bucket of water.
“I want to help.”
“Just stay inside… Actually, never mind. Since you’re here, clean this side and that side.”
“Yes!”
Nanika, wearing a simple t-shirt and dolphin shorts, had come to help wipe away the gasoline smell inside the camper van.
Kim Jun didn’t think much of it. He sprayed the toothpaste water and opened all the windows wide, trying to air out the dizzying stench.
While cleaning, Nanika kept stealing glances at him. Eventually, she spoke up.
“Um… about what happened this morning.”
“…”
“The… sex you had with Mari unnie…”
At that moment, Kim Jun closed the window he had just opened and whipped his head around.
“So that’s why you came out on purpose?”
“N-no, I… I’m sorry! But…”
She awkwardly avoided his gaze, put down the rag, and fidgeted with her fingers.
This girl had been a complete virgin with zero dating experience until recently. Following the lead of her senior idol, she had offered her first time to Kim Jun in a threesome. But nothing had happened since then.
“Today… I even wore this. I thought you might come, so I took the pill too.”
The t-shirt that perfectly showed off her figure paired with the dolphin shorts was already an excellent combination. She had also restyled her hair with a curling iron and was giving off a faint scent of body wash.
“…”
“I haven’t done it even once since that day…”
Nanika suddenly created a strangely honeymoon-like atmosphere as she shyly hinted that she was in the mood today.
And coincidentally, this was the very same cozy camper van where she had lost her virginity.
“…”
Today’s supply run had already left his nerves frayed. Faced with a top idol showing such behavior, Kim Jun hesitated for a moment, glanced outside, then closed the camper van door first.
“Nanika.”
“Yes, oppa…”
“Let’s finish cleaning later.”
Kim Jun agreed. When he pulled her into his arms from behind, she accepted his touch, her face flushing red.
With one hand gripping the railing of the camper bed, she used the other to gently slide down her fluttering dolphin shorts and panties.
Below her narrow waist was a large, firm butt. Even after losing her virginity, her folds remained tightly closed like a seashell.
But they were slightly wet along with her panties, showing she had already grown aroused on the way here.
Kim Jun immediately embraced her, kneading her belly and breasts under the t-shirt. Watching Nanika lean forward gripping the bed railing, he pulled down his pants, aligned himself, and thrust inside.
“Ugh—!”
Fearing someone might hear, she bit down on the bed pillow. Her hands gripping the railing trembled violently.
After the initial pain, during her second time having sex, she seemed to be feeling more pleasure. Instead of the previous tightness, her insides now twitched and grew increasingly moist.
Feeling the pleasurable contractions, Kim Jun moved his hips. Once again, the camper van became a watermill of love.
