“Honey water! Bring me honey water!”

Lee Seung-won, an ordinary office worker and devoted reader of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, wakes up in the childhood body of Yuan Shu.

Historically, Yuan Shu was born into one of the greatest clans of the Later Han, possessed every advantage a warlord could ask for—and squandered them all. After proclaiming himself emperor, he met a miserable end in disgrace, begging for honey water.

Lee Seung-won has no intention of following that script.

Armed with knowledge of the coming chaos and the influence of the Yuan clan, he sets out to recruit future heroes, survive the Yellow Turban Rebellion, outmaneuver the corrupt imperial court, and prepare for the age of warlords.

There is only one problem: this is not quite the Three Kingdoms he remembers. Events are unfolding out of order, many legendary figures are women, and every choice he makes drives history further off course.

To escape the Honey-Water Emperor’s fate, Yuan Shu will have to win wars, govern his lands, navigate the imperial court—and somehow deal with the formidable women gathering around him.
