It was a short time, or a long one, depending on how you measure it.
What did I want to leave with my readers?
After thinking it over, the first feeling that came to mind was, as expected, regret.
I could have written a better novel.
I am left with nothing but a sense of disappointment that I could have repaid you with a more impressive story.
And at the same time, I also felt grateful.
As anyone reading my novels here probably knows, my previous work was, in many senses, a problematic one, so I worried a lot about whether anyone would come back to read my stories again.
But many people did read it, and I believe that is what allowed me to come this far.
Now, I intend to rest for a while.
I will recharge, replenish, and someday return once more with a good story.
I am always grateful and sorry.
You are all my readers, and at the same time, you are the teachers and mentors who taught me how to write.
I will use the lessons I have learned from this work to grow further and return to see you again.
I hope that every reader, like Amael, achieves everything they wish for in their heart.
