I'll Work Really Hard...!
I'll work really hard...!
After finishing the hospital visit and returning home, I spent a long time calming down a very shocked Yuna.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.”
Yuna asked what I was going to do now. Honestly, there wasn’t much to do. I had been planning to stream in order to calm down everyone who had been worried.
“I’m going to stream… explain everything… and ask people not to start any witch hunts. There are others who might get hurt too.”
“I-is that so?”
Yuna kept telling me I was too kind and asked if it wouldn’t be okay to be a little meaner. I awkwardly replied that it wasn’t like that, then told her to watch the stream and hung up.
“Please watch the broadcast.”
“Ah… u-um, y-you’re getting paid enough, right…?”

The call ended. I broke into a bright smile and hurried to set up the stream. I was already skilled enough to adjust the microphone position and test the virtual avatar’s movements without trouble. The fact that I had gained recovery ability let me move even better than before.
“It’s still too much to share any real stories… but I should at least be able to stream.”
With that thought, I quickly started the broadcast.
“…!!”
The chat exploded with intense reactions right from the start, and I jumped in surprise. Donations started pouring in too, making the stream even noisier.
I quickly turned on my microphone and started speaking.
“Ah… ahem, c-can you hear me? Uhh… please calm the fire for a second… I’ll show you my face soon……”
With that, I quickly brought out my avatar and greeted the jireongi brightly.
“H-hello everyone…!”
I had tried to sound as cheerful as possible, but the chat room instantly turned into a funeral parlor.
“P-please calm down… I-I’ll explain everything…!”
It took me a full fifteen minutes just to settle everyone down.
After finally calming the chat, I started reading through the messages one by one and comforting everyone.
“Yes… I know you were all surprised. I-I’m fine. I’ll explain what happened slowly… Aside from my throat hurting, I’m completely okay.”
The jireongi were fully prepared to listen to my story. I glanced around nervously before finally speaking.
“My dad… came to find me.”
Even thinking about it now made my hands shake. I wrapped my trembling right hand tightly with my left and continued as calmly as I could.
“I was so… so scared and terrified… I froze up and thought I was going to die… but then Kei-nim jumped out and protected me.”
The viewers seemed deeply moved by Kei-nim’s sacrifice. After that, I calmly told them everything that had happened to me. How much I hated myself, how terrifying it had been. Even with Yeon-a’s comfort, I had kept throwing up and hurting myself.
“…It’s pathetic, right? So much time has passed.”
To some people it might look stupid. They might find it frustrating that I still lived like this even after growing up. But I really couldn’t do anything about it. Even after regaining those old memories, I hadn’t learned anything from them—only more pain. If I hadn’t remembered, I might have been able to resist. Because I remembered, I suffered. It was like karma for having killed myself.
But even so, I had endured.
“…I’m going to live hard. For real.”
And now I had finally learned how to move on and deal with it.
“I-I’m going to sue everyone who secretly filmed me during the fireworks incident too… Some of you might ask if that means I’m acknowledging the red pill… but the moment my dad showed up, I realized that kind of thing doesn’t matter anymore.”
When your life is on the line, who could possibly say anything? Besides, my stream had always been aimed at eventually revealing my face. I asked the viewers once again to understand that.
“My face… someday, when I gain the courage to reveal myself to all of you… I want to show it to you myself.”
Most of the chat was on my side. I smiled softly and received another donation.
The chat filled with furious messages. This person was definitely one of the ones who would be sued. An insensitive creep who had tormented me and given my father hints. The thought that this person had made not only me but everyone around me miserable gave me a bit of courage.
“…D-don’t live like that… you son of a bitch… it’s disgusting… die!”
I had to squeeze my eyes shut to get the curse out, but it still felt incredibly refreshing. When I peeked my eyes open, the chat was flying up the screen.
I wanted to ban the person myself, so I checked the logs. Yuna had already banned them. Not only that, she had set it so the person could only watch the stream without being able to chat. The creepshot perpetrator was still watching my broadcast. I quickly turned on the camera and flipped them off with my middle finger.
“N-now get lost…!”
The chat was completely flooded with curses. I stared at it blankly for a moment, then gently warned off only the worst comments before continuing the stream.
“Anyway…! This is how I plan to handle things from now on… A-and my little sibling is really good with the law… They’re a law student, you know.”
Watching the chat, I put on a bold expression and delivered my final warning.
“Be prepared, seriously… From now on I’m going to respond aggressively… I hope you all understand that I’m in a very special situation……”
The chat sped up with excitement. I smiled brightly and spoke in a slightly hoarse, tearful voice.
“Thank you… everyone.”
I was grateful for all of them. For standing on my side like this. It made me feel like I wanted to live the rest of my life exactly like this.
“I… I’m really going to work hard…!”
I made one promise with the jireongi. That I would truly stream with everything I had.
