Rookie Streamer Kangcheol (3)
Rookie Streamer Gangcheol (Part 3)
As the saying goes, you can't get full from the first bite, so I didn't expect to hit it big from the very first day of streaming today.
I did some preliminary research before starting internet streaming, and the average gender ratio among streamers is 10:1.
Considering that the gender ratio in this world is 30:1, it means the male population is particularly concentrated in the streaming profession.
There are probably various reasons for this, but the biggest ones are undoubtedly the bizarre law that states "only sperm carriers are innocent," which prevents men from wandering outside alone freely, and the phenomenon of viewers watching simply because they're male - what you might call an easy ride.
So I thought viewership would be around 100 people at most, but...
-Is this the famous restaurant everyone's talking about?
-I heard a honey-dripping beautiful boy started streaming on the Hakko gallery, and now I'm the one dripping honey
-? Why are you dripping honey?
-Probably dripping from down below lol
-Oof, can't deny that
-Damn~ if your lower body hurts, go to a urologist~
Clearly, my streaming senior Ye-rim had said that new streams are hard to find, so I shouldn't expect many viewers and should start with a light heart, but somehow within about 10 minutes of starting the stream, the viewer count had surpassed 1,000!
"U-um, did you come to the wrong stream...? I was just going to do a simple greeting without any preparation?! Could you maybe come back tomorrow...?"
I'd only conceptualized being a variety streamer without any real preparation, and with viewers flooding in like this, I thought it would be better to ask them to come back tomorrow when I'm properly prepared.
-A Hakko telling people to get lost within 10 minutes of starting?!
-Preparation? We don't need that^^ We just need you
-The streamer's face is the content~ what preparation do you need~
Ding~
[Gangnam Gold Spoon gifted 1000 Water Balloons!]
[You can come in as you please, but you can't leave as you please~]
"Wait, why are you gifting Water Balloons all of a sudden! First of all, thank you Gangnam Gold Spoon-nim for 1000 Water Balloons!"
Damn, is this the right way to react?
1000 Water Balloons is 100,000 won - shouldn't I be doing some kind of reaction or something?
Again, today's stream was just to get a feel for what streaming is like and to do a simple greeting - I never imagined I'd be dealing with so many viewers and receiving Water Balloon gifts like this.
On YouTube or Ye-rim's stream, when they receive Water Balloons, they do reactions according to the amount, but I don't have any prepared reactions?
-More importantly, this isn't a VTuber stream, right? The streamer looks too unrealistically beautiful - is this an avatar?
-Fr, doesn't feel like a human lol
-Are you joking from day one? Bros, we need to prepare the hammer
-Narak
-Na
-rak
-It's your first day streaming, what's with the narak talk lol
While I was debating whether to do a reaction or not, the already chaotic chat became even more rowdy with this strange VTuber topic.
Wait, is being too pretty also a problem?!
"A VTuber? I think you mean streamers who use 3D avatars, but I'm not an avatar."
The atmosphere seemed to be turning negative, so I quickly defended myself, but once the mood had shifted, the crowd showed no signs of calming down.
Ding~
[Kang Cheol is My Husband gifted 1000 Water Balloons!]
[I came after hearing the rumors^^ If you're not a VTuber, please show us proof]
Another 1000 Water Balloons?
More importantly, isn't Kang Cheol is My Husband that person who also came to Ye-rim's stream?
Then she should know I'm not a VTuber... what does she mean by proof...
-That Kang Cheol is My Husband person - isn't she a big spender, a chairman?
-She does donate to FPS game streamers too, but she mostly spends big money while playing around in male streamers' channels - she's already found her way here? Holy shit
-So where's the proof that you're not a VTuber?
Apparently quite famous among viewers, other viewers joined Kang Cheol is My Husband's sponsorship message in demanding proof!
In the brief moment I looked away, the viewer count that had been around 1,000 was now approaching 3,000. If it had been the expected 100 viewers, I might have been able to explain myself somehow, but with this many people flooding in, if I didn't show proper proof, my streaming career would crash and burn right from the start!
"Then what would make you believe that I'm not a VTuber?"
Eventually deciding that reactions could wait and proof came first, I asked in response.
Ding~
[Kang Cheol is My Husband gifted 1000 Water Balloons!]
[Would you show us your genital exchange? Legally, VTuber avatars can't have genital exchanges engraved^^]
Oh. There's a law like that?
As expected of a big spender or chairman - she seems to know a lot about streamer ecology.
-G-genital exchange?!
-I've never seen one before hehehe...
-But can you just show that on stream...
-Shh! Be quiet!
-You clueless bitch!
-This noona just wants to check if the streamer washes his abdomen properly~?
-This is right lol
-You can show your abdomen, right?
...Is it okay to show this?
I already learned from previous experience that men can't expose their nipples, but is exposing the genital exchange on the abdomen also not allowed?
Judging from the chat, it seemed ambiguous, but "Show it like a man?!"
Ding~
[Tangtang gifted 1000 Water Balloons!]
[Don't listen to that fucking bitch!]
Just as I was hesitantly holding the hem of my fully unbuttoned shirt, contemplating whether to lift it to prevent any accidental exposure, Ye-rim's sponsorship alert sound came through.
-Ah, damn it!
-If it's not an avatar, there's no way you'd actually expose your genital exchange~
-This isn't PandaTV lol
-Damn it, bullshit! Genital exchange exposure would get the stream permanently banned! I want to watch this stream until I die!
-But you actually wanted to see it, right? You were just keeping your mouth shut, right?
-Women faithful to their sexual desires lol
Nice one, Ye-rim!
Furious at the chat messages suggesting I would have been permanently banned if I'd exposed my genital exchange as instructed, and thinking about kicking out the utterly insolent Kang Cheol is My Husband despite the Water Balloons...
Ding~
[Kang Cheol is My Husband gifted 10000 Water Balloons!]
[It was just a joke~ Your reaction was so cute compared to other men these days TT It's small, but this is my apology^^]
...That was way too many Water Balloons for an apology!
"If it was a joke, I'll let it slide~ Please don't do that again! And you shouldn't give away so many Water Balloons so carelessly. Money is precious, you know?"
While it's true that I started streaming for money, I didn't want to compromise the reason I came to this Gender-Reversed World.
What was the reason I made a contract with that goddess and came to this Gender-Reversed World?
Wasn't it to escape my ordinary life and enjoy the gender-reversed genre I loved?
I only needed the essential amount of money to live.
-Kya~ A male streamer who refuses money when it's given
-The male streamers I know won't even look at you without Water Balloon gifts
-Some male streamers have a greeting fee of 500 Water Balloons lol
-Is Kang Cheol a god?!
-This is what a proper male streamer looks like and Kang Cheol is a god!
-Isn't he just from a rich family?
Huh? It turned out like this?
I was bewildered by the suddenly reversed atmosphere.
Of course, there were some crybaby forces in the chat suggesting I was making such statements because I came from a wealthy family, but there wasn't much I could do about that immediately.
Ding~
[Kang Cheol is My Husband gifted 1000 Water Balloons!]
[The Water Balloons are already charged, so please just accept them^^ More importantly, is that white shirt your favorite outfit since you're wearing it today too? You were wearing it during Tangtang's stream the other time too.]
That woman, she knew all along that I wasn't an avatar!
More importantly, she pointed out something I never expected.
-What what? Our god appeared on another stream?
-He appeared on a stream called Tangtang, some shitty small company FPS game specialist stream about 3 days ago
-But why didn't I know about it?
-The stream blew up in just 1 hour lol
-Holy shit lol
-But why is he wearing the same clothes from 3 days ago?
The reason I'm wearing the same clothes from 3 days ago?
Well, that's obviously...
"It's because this is the only outfit I have, so I wash it every evening and wear it?"
I do have the 2 million won Ye-rim gave me, so it's not like I couldn't buy clothes if I wanted to, but with various expenses due at the end of this month - interest payments, maintenance fees, etc. - my hands were trembling even when buying 5,000 won underwear.
Where would I find money for fashion in such circumstances?
'I'd rather use that money to buy a mattress.'
Come to think of it, I'm still living on the floor?
I answered honestly without much thought, but from the viewers' perspective, it must have sounded different.
-Gasp! You don't have money to change clothes?!
-And that's why you said money is precious and asked us to refrain from gifting Water Balloons?
-An, an angel! An angel has descended to earth!
-Where did all those Satan bitches go who were mocking our angel saying she was just rich! I'll kill them all!
"N-no! I have money. Look here!"
Seeing the chaos in the chat caused by my thoughtless answer, I frantically pulled out my smartphone, opened the banking app containing my entire fortune, and showed it to the camera.
-Balance of 968,000 won...?
-Are you showing us that as your entire fortune?
-Good heavens, why did heaven give poverty to our angel and send water bitches to kimchi men!
-Kyeeeeek~! All Satan bitches come out!
Huh, my balance was less than a million won?
Now that I think about it, I remember paying for the fairly expensive sake and motel room when Ye-rim got drunk.
"W-wait, I didn't mean to show that I'm poor?!"
-Angel-nim, please stay still! We will save you!
-Let's go, comrades! Let's promote our angel in the gallery and give them money punishment!
-Let's gooo~!!
Ding~ding~ding......
What in the world is happening?!
The endless sponsorship alerts and chat messages about promoting my stream in galleries flooded the chat, and whether they actually created promotion posts in galleries, the viewer count began rising at an unbelievable rate.
And eventually...
[Service usage has been suspended.
Reason: View Bot Suspicion]
Within just 1 hour of starting the stream, the viewer count surpassed 10,000, and the stream exploded due to View Bot Suspicion...
