Food Frenzy (1)
Suddenly, users started desperately searching for me. - Proof of stacking 1 good deed a day, shopkeeper [223] - Shopkeeper, here's my list of today's deeds [554] - System-nim, proof of cleaning up corpses today [331] ....
"What the hell is wrong with these guys?"
What the fuck happened while I was groaning with a stomachache and eating ramen soup shabu-shabu?
I scrolled back through the Gallery post list a bit and started checking the older bait posts one by one.
The trigger was the proof Juddak posted of the supplies (sunbim, stpower, powerade) I sent her.
No, how did she receive them? How?!
The Gallery exploded the moment Juddak said she received food from the System right after physically dismantling Oasis.
"Yeah, yeah, I saw up to here."
But what does this have to do with anything?
Sangjeom Wiki couldn't hold back after seeing Juddak's proof post and made their own thread.
1. Inventory Limit Expansion
Similar to the previous 2nd membership expansion notice, the Odasu 500ML product's stock went from 100 >> 700 along with the announcement.
'Thanks to our members' passionate support and purchases, the shop's inventory management system has been successfully upgraded.'
From the shop's official notice, it seems the more we use it, the more the System upgrades >>> Needs research!!
Nothing weird up to here.
"Mm, yeah, the more it's used, the more it upgrades, that's right."
You guys get it perfectly—you have to buy stuff for upgrades to happen, got it?
So what the hell is the problem? I kept reading Sangjeom Wiki's post.
The important part was the next section.
[System's Intent and Philosophy] - *Important*
The most crucial thing is the timing and intent of this update.
Oasis bastards were monopolizing bottled water and jacking up prices, and right at that perfect moment, stock increased 7x? Coincidence?
I don't think so >> Connects to next section
System >>> Made Oasis, who controlled water prices and gouged people, perish >> Oasis went against the System's intent
What we can learn from this: The System ultimately wants price stabilization
At the same time, it encourages active use of its shop >> Since more use means upgrades
Things started getting weird.
"Uh... it's not completely wrong."
Life gets better for the people, prices stabilize—sounds good, right...?
But that's not the only intent.
But Juddak went even further.
And so, Juddak and Sangjeom Wiki started a heated debate in the comments about the System's philosophy and greater purpose, like ancient Greeks.
The Juddak School: The System's great purpose is rebuilding the world, and we must understand and actively practice it.
The Sangjeom Wiki School: Agrees on the purpose but emphasizes practical, utilitarian use of the shop over dramatic action.
Influenced by them, various sub-schools emerged.
Good lol brainless worship school.
Dopamine-addicted constellation school that believes you get rewards for providing spectacular entertainment.
"Pfft."
Currently, the most influential is the good-deeds school. I.e., the System is absolute good, so it likes good deeds.
"No, the good-deeds school is bullshit..."
This is fucking hilarious. I chuckled as I scrolled down the posts.
But the users seemed genuine in their efforts.
"They're actually doing it."
To maintain such good deeds even after the apocalypse.
As the board got flooded with brainless good-deed proofs, the most flustered seemed to be Juddak and Sangjeom Wiki themselves, but users played dumb.
"Heh."
While I was in the bathroom clutching my stomach, they were debating purpose and philosophy, doing good deeds in hopes of food.
"...I just wanna grill some prime Korean beef in a cast-iron pan."
Woo woo, newbies just wanna open the living corner for gas burner and frying pan.
And I've never once said I was the System. Strictly speaking, I was just maintaining mystique for my own safety.
"But? If the results are good, it's okay!"
Hypocrisy counts as good, wrong road but as long as we reach Seoul—process doesn't matter, no one feels bad if people do good deeds because of me.
Plus, if those actions make the outside world better for people, I benefit too, so of course I cheer them on.
"Fighting!!! Get stronger! Eh! Survive well!! Let's do this!!"
And then lemme eat some Korean beef!!! Yeah!
Of course, the reason they're acting like this boils down to one thing.
Food. All for food.
"I've grasped your needs too."
With that, I pulled my chair close and opened the status window.
[Reward 2: Sales Slot Expansion Voucher x1]
For me, and for them, I decided to give what they wanted.
"First, let's reel in the aggros."
They could have whatever they wanted.
"If they pay some magic stones."
