Get Ready to Go, Yang!
Time to get ready to go out, baa!
When I opened my eyes, I was standing right in the middle of our living room.
Yeah. Not My Home—our house.
Not that shabby little studio in the middle of nowhere that the Ryu family relatives had shoved at me like some kind of gift, but the place where Mom, Dad, and I had lived together. Our home.
And that house was on fire.
Flames roared on every side. Thick, choking smoke filled the ceiling and still wasn’t satisfied, so it kept sinking lower and lower toward the floor.
What you’re supposed to do when there’s a fire!
Keep your head down, cover your mouth, and get outside as fast as you can!
Even a little kid knows that. But I couldn’t do it.
Because Mom was collapsed right in front of me.
And I was a good kid. A good kid doesn’t leave her mom behind.
At the same time, I was just a little kid, so I couldn’t even lift her up.
So what then?
What you’re supposed to do when there’s a fire! Number two!
Call 119. Even a little kid knows that one too.
I pulled out my phone and dialed right away.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Rrrring~ Click!
"Yes, this is 119."
“…….”
Ah.
Right.
"Hello? What’s the emergency?"
“…….”
I… couldn’t make a sound.
…
..
.
Even a little kid knows what to do when the house is on fire.
…And those two things were all I knew.
“Meeeeh… hah!”
I shot upright in bed with a jolt!
Oh my god… I just…
“Meeeh…?”
I made a sheep sound!!!
Kyaaaaaaah!!!
…
..
.
Today marked the fourth day since I made a wish to some demon-or-whatever and turned into a little lamb. In Korean counting that’s the third day, right?
…I was already feeling gloomy first thing in the morning.
Obviously because of what just happened.
“It’s not supposed to be ‘meeeh,’ baa.”
My new trait. The effect of Little Lamb (EX) felt like it was getting stronger somehow.
My way of talking was turning more and more sheep-like!!
These past four days were the first time in my entire life I’d ever spoken out loud.
I’d figured the weird babyish speech and pronunciation were just because I didn’t know how to talk yet.
…But what if that wasn’t it?
“Even this speech pattern is the Little Lamb effect, baa?”
No matter how little someone knows about talking, they don’t go “meeeh” in their sleep.
I know that much. I’m not an idiot.
…But I have no idea how to stop it. Hiiing, I’m a dummy.
…
..
.
It was 11 a.m.
Warm sunlight streamed through the single window of My Home.
I’d bolted upright in shock, but it looked like I’d woken up at just the right time.
If I slept any longer I’d be getting up past lunch, so I forced the leftover drowsiness away and climbed out of the blankets.
First thing you do when you wake up in the morning!
Obviously, the bathroom.
I got out of bed and walked straight through the door right next to it—the bathroom.
Why so close? Well… it’s a studio?
Oh, and for the record, My Home is a studio, but it’s not actually that tiny. I heard it’s about ten pyeong.
Plenty of space for a guy living alone… and even more so for the under-140-cm little kid I’d become.
…Which is why it felt lonely sometimes.
The bathroom layout went entrance, then sink, then toilet, then shower. No bathtub!
And what that meant was, to sit on the toilet you had no choice but to pass the sink, and when you passed the sink you had no choice but to see your face in the mirror.
…This time I wanted to ignore it and head straight for the toilet. In the end I still caught sight of my transformed self.
The first thing that jumped out were the two huge horns growing from my sheep head (not SheepHead, okay).
Jet-black horns that curved slightly as they jutted forward… honestly, they looked super cool.
Cool enough to rival the ultra-awesome horns of my treasure, the Hellfire Demon Dragon.
I mean, my horns were enormous! Thick! Solid! The tips were ridiculously sharp! And there were two of them!
Sure, I’d lost one stick, but I’d gained two bigger, cooler sticks… so this was the power of Deal (A)?
Mwah! Ha!! Hah!!!
…That noble little laugh suited a princess of some kingdom way better than me, so I should probably cut it out.
Next thing that stood out after the horns were the golden eyes that looked like they’d go ching-!! and sparkle if I opened them wide.
…But they were just pretty. No special powers or anything.
I would’ve loved eye beams!!! or Time! Stop! or some other cool ability.
Ah, there was one good thing about not having them. When I looked up sheep eyes online, they had these creepy horizontal slits, but mine didn’t.
And finally, the thing that really stood out: super fluffy white hair that cascaded all the way from my head down past my butt.
If you just say “white hair” it might sound old and sparse and lifeless, but it wasn’t that kind of white hair… if I had to describe it…
Sigh. Yeah. It literally felt like sheep’s wool. Super soft, full of life, and warm. Not that I’ve ever actually touched real sheep’s wool.
…And it was ridiculously heavy. First time in my life I realized hair could weigh something.
Especially after a shower when it soaked up water and got even heavier. Drying it took forever.
Actually, it was so heavy that on the second day I cut it to shoulder length, and within a single day it grew right back to almost the exact same length.
Hey, isn’t that resurrection a little too fast? Even Jesus took three days, but my hair finishes the job in one. Insane.
…Insane, sure, but what am I supposed to do about it? Normally it wasn’t that bad, but once it drank water it got seriously heavy.
So just skip showers? Abandon cleanliness?
Hmm, with this body I could probably go a whole week without showering and still feel soft and fluffy.
But… I’d spent my whole previous life thinking “If I’m ugly, at least I can be clean,” so if I didn’t wash every day my heart got all icky.
“…I don’t know, baa.”
The super-pretty little girl in the mirror pouted.
…And then her expression turned urgent, because I really couldn’t hold it anymore—!!
…
..
.
You weren’t hoping for a detailed play-by-play of an under-140-cm pure and innocent little lamb girl doing her business, right?
…I’ll just say one thing: my hair is so super long that you can’t just sit on the toilet without thinking.
On the first day I didn’t know and it got a little wet… the hair, I mean.
If I had to sum up what I’d done over the past four days, it went roughly like this.
1. Cleaned my filthy room.
2. Ordered new clothes online.
3. Ordered every single meal for delivery.
Even shorter summary: I hadn’t stepped outside the room once in four days.
“This is full-on hikikomori life, baa….”
I said that, but it was so comfortable! The best, baa!
After all, for the past three years I’d gone to work almost every single day without fail.
Resting this long was a first for me.
…Still, I should probably start going outside soon.
The reason I’d wished for a voice was so I could talk to other people.
But if I just stayed home forever, I’d never get to communicate with anyone.
I didn’t have a roommate anymore, after all.
…
..
.
Ding-!
A cheerful phone notification.
Your ordered items have been delivered.
After finally managing to dry my ridiculously heavy post-shower hair, I was munching on a few leftover boneless chicken pieces from last night’s dinner when the package I’d ordered arrived.
I’m a little lamb, but I can still eat meat!
…I waited about five minutes, then opened the door and brought the package inside.
It wasn’t like I’d stayed cooped up for four days for no reason, just because I was scared or something.
The biggest reason was clothes. Everything I had at home was way too big for my current body.
Naturally, the first day after making the wish, the moment I woke up from my nap I ordered clothes right away… but there was a problem.
I’d mostly ordered regular T-shirts and stuff, and when I tried to put them on, the horns ripped everything to shreds.
In the end I reordered clothes you put on by sliding your arms through first and then buttoning or zipping up the front, instead of pulling them over your head.
Hmm… hope the size is right. I bought kids’ sizes.
Oh, and for the bottom half it was obviously pants. What, you think I’d wear a skirt? Embarrassing.
I threw the clothes on and stood in front of the full-length mirror I’d ordered along with the first-day T-shirts.

(※ Mijeong’s room is way dirtier than the photo. Planning to fix just the background later.)
“…Hueh?”
What is this.
I…
Am completely super cute!!
Honestly I have zero fashion sense, so I just ordered random stuff and put it on, but it turned out this good!!
…Sorry, actually I still don’t really know. I honestly have zero fashion sense.
But even someone like me can tell that the current me is completely super cute!!
And I heard somewhere that if the hanger is pretty, the clothes can be kind of meh and it’s still fine!
…
..
.
I was just going to wear these clothes as-is, so I packed the rest of my supplies.
Supply number one: my phone, of course!
That one’s obvious.
Supply number two! Eco-bag!!
Yeah, that super famous sturdy rectangular yellow one. The one with the seal on it.
Only… I’d never used it even once in my life… hiiing hiiing.
Because whenever someone who looked like me walked into a convenience store or supermarket it was always “What the hell is that guy?! Call the cops!!”
“Uuing.”
Just thinking about it made me gloomy again.
…Anyway, I finally get to use it this time!! Cheers!!
And last, number three~ It’s you again!? My Partner!!! The Hand Axe!!
…Hmm? Why am I bringing Partner?
Well, I already said it. Right now I’m super ultra cute.
“…Sigh.”
I paused what I was doing and stood in front of the full-length mirror again.
Sparkling eyes. Long hair cascading down in thick waves. Soft, pale, squishy skin.
Yup yup, the more I looked in the mirror, the more one fact rose up in my head.
“Yeah… I’m a little too pretty, baa.”
I’m not an idiot. I’m being serious this time.
Honestly, the current me is way too pretty. Almost excessively so.
…So for just-in-case, I needed at least the bare minimum of self-defense.
Actually, another reason I hadn’t gone outside these past four days was so I could check my combat power.
In the end I hadn’t gained any new combat abilities I could use right away, so I needed time to figure out how well I could still handle my old weapon with this body.
And the result? Disaster. Partner was way too big and heavy for the current me….
Still, I’d practiced swinging it a little around the house, so if it came down to it I could probably use it properly once or twice.
We’ve been together for years, right, Partner?
-Ma, let’s give it a shot.
Jjoayo! Jjoayo!
…
..
.
I rolled Partner up in newspaper and carefully tucked it into the brand-new eco-bag.
Doesn’t that mean I can’t use it? Well, I’m not bringing it for attacking anyway—just in case I need to block a surprise or something. It’s fine.
…And with that, every preparation was complete. All that was left was to open the door and walk out.
I slipped on the new baby shoes I’d left by the entrance and stood up.
Hmm… my feet were even smaller than I’d thought.
“…….”
To be honest.
“…I’m scared, baa.”
But I still had to do it. It’s no big deal, right? Just something everyone in the world does, and I’m only doing it a little late.
That’s why I prepared two whole destinations.
Today’s goals!!!
First stop by the Local Convenience Store to buy a lunchbox for lunch, then head to the Local Cafe and get a takeout drink!!!
…My first real social interaction of my life, and I have two whole goals!!
Kieeeeeeek!!!
-You’re gonna die, Mijeong!! You’re gonna die for real!!
-No I’m not, baa!! I can do it, baa!!
-It’s not too late!! Just say you’re only going to one place!! You’ve never even ordered anything before!!
“I can do it too, baa!!!”
Ah. At the end I accidentally said out loud what I’d been imagining in my head….
Hmm… this is definitely the effect of Little Lamb (EX) too. Yeah. Definitely.
Thinking that, I opened the front door.
