The Second Trip to Korea

I had brought Sinoe Misano back to her senses by making her submit in the office again, and there were many things to prepare for the trip to Korea. I scheduled the Korea trip from Friday to Monday. Next was Clairvoyance. Just from the name it sounded perverted, but in combat it let you see through walls to detect how many enemies were present and what they were doing via their silhouettes. Gamers who wanted to see through clothes had protested fiercely, but since Mega Corp’s Youngest Son was rated for ages fifteen and up rather than adults only, the clairvoyance trait was restricted to combat ‍‍‌‌⁠​​⁠‌​​‍​​‍​‌​⁠‍‌‍⁠⁠‌⁠‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍⁠​‌​‌​‌‍‌‌‌⁠‍​​‌‍⁠‌‌⁠⁠use. Of course, selecting it later unlocked a “God Mode” that could see through clothes, but that version was banned by the developers, taken down from the distribution platform Steampack, and could only be obtained through shady routes.

Clairvoyance didn’t particularly appeal to me. With my Master’s Senses, I could tell who was inside a building just by concentrating, so it wasn’t very useful. And if I wanted to see a woman naked, I could just seduce her…. There was no real need for it.

If the stewardess hadn’t shaken me, I might have gone completely insane. Fortunately, I regained my senses.

I didn’t even know the Daughter of the Abyss’s tastes… and I had no idea what kind of rewards she gave. This trait was full of unknowns and uncertainty. Just as I had thought earlier, this level-up was a dud. Feeling slightly annoyed, I let out a heavy sigh just as the announcement that we had arrived in Korea came over the speakers.

Knowledge regarding the magic circle connected to the Abyss has risen, increasing Abyss by 2. Experiencing pain that surpassed what a human should be able to feel has increased Will by 1 and Resistance by 2. Because the pain had been so severe, simply learning the trait raised a total of 7 stats. In terms of stats alone, it was more effective than three normal level-ups.

The pain from earlier had been so intense that I invested my two remaining level-up points into Resistance as well. Resistance was a stat that helped resist physical diseases, mutations, impacts, and pain, so I thought investing a bit more might make the next experience less painful if something like that happened again.
