Spring Date
“Kyaaak!”
“What the hell is this situation? Who’s the pervert?!”
“He’s insane?!”
Click! Click!
“Kyaaak!”
“Aaaah! Stop taking pictures!”
It was pure chaos, a total madhouse.
I kept pounding the fan until Shin Juyeon’s anger subsided, then stripped the bastard naked and tossed him out into the hallway.
I’d warned the women I’d blackmailed with their weaknesses not to go easy on him—no more leverage left for them anyway. Plus, the moment this blew up online, the hotel would fire him on the spot. No way they’d keep someone infamous in a bad light around for image management reasons.
“So, does this feel like payback for what you did to me before?”
What started as a prank had somehow turned into settling old scores with these women who’d wronged me.
“Yeah… I guess to some extent?”
Her tone still had that slight edge, but her expression had softened. No more snippy attitude like she was picking a fight.
“Good to hear. Anyway, be careful at the hotel.”
“Ahem. Anyway, we’re still on for meeting three times, right? Like we agreed?”
“I didn’t forget. How could I?”
“See you tomorrow. I’m off.”
She nodded readily.
Hanging out together would make pranks easier, and building overall goodwill to make her fall for me wouldn’t be hard either.
And that meant? Soon enough, I’d get to watch her writhing under me, moaning away. Heh heh.
“What’s with that perverted look?”
“Perverted? Me? Just looking at you.”
“You’re totally doing it, though…”
Well, couldn’t deny that.
Anyway, she still had to finish her shift, so I wondered what would happen to that guy. She seemed curious too.
“I called your manager already. Someone from the next shift should be coming. As for him… probably fired, right?”
After all that commotion, it was inevitable.
She nodded as the elevator arrived on my floor. She waved goodbye.
“See you tomorrow. Good luck with the rest of your shift.”
“Yeah, get going.”
Before, she wouldn’t have even greeted me—instead, she’d glare with pure disgust if I so much as spoke. Humans really do warm up to the guy who saves them from danger.
Mission accomplished a bit easier than expected. I headed back to my room with a satisfied grin.
“Maybe have a drink or two tonight.”
I took a quick shower and flopped onto the sofa. Ordering some wine or something light sounded good.
Drinking alone, so hitting the bar for a classy vibe while sipping wouldn’t be bad either.
“Tomorrow, meet up with Shin Juyeon. Day after is Sunday, so lottery time.”
I roughly mapped out my week.
School, which had been out of mind for a while, needed some thought too. I wanted to drop out, but my parents would freak. Still, graduating might be better than nothing.
“But slacking off like this, I’ll flunk out before I graduate.”
Money wasn’t an issue anymore, but wasting time still sucked.
“Guess dropping out’s the way.”
If I convinced my parents with cash and some shiny life plan, they probably wouldn’t rage too much. They’d always said back in high school: if you don’t wanna go to college, don’t—just do what you wanna do.
“Hmm, no dreams on my end. Just wanna be a rich bum who plays and eats all day.”
Saying that straight up wouldn’t fly; it needs to be puffed up grandly to match the high-end cinematic "harvest" of this world. To describe a "rich bum" with the necessary soul-melting flair, one must incinerate the simple labels and replace them with a frenzied and pitifully alluring title.
Hell, maybe just drop out, take a few smacks on the back from Mom, and call it a day.
“I make plenty of money anyway. No real reason to stick with a major that’s just for job-hunting.”
I never chose the department for any passion. Just because everyone else did, and maybe it’d come in handy someday. Vague crap like that got me there.
Lots had happened since, but mostly bad memories stacked up there.
“Whatever. Focus on tomorrow’s date first.”
Date? Yeah, that works. She seemed to warm up to me after today, and I wasn’t exactly hating on Shin Juyeon either.
Not sexual curiosity—actual liking. Anyway, guy and girl who like each other meet up, eat, hit a café? That’s a date.
“Reminds me of my first date with Yoonah.”
I hadn’t dated much before, so Yoonah’s first one was all that came to mind.
Back then, some thugs crashed the fun. I’d planned the perfect itinerary, but nothing went right in the end.
“Clumsy. So damn clumsy.”
