The Organization Boss's Secret Place
A few days had passed, but surprisingly, the married woman still hadn't shown up at the house. She hadn't been around much lately either—maybe after I left, she'd gotten into it with her husband or something happened during exam season. Thinking back to her personality when I'd used my power on her... during exams, her husband probably got the beating of his life and kicked out, just like yesterday.
"Anyway," I muttered to myself, "maybe I should check out school."
To keep my attendance rate up—for my grade's sake—I figured I had to head to campus today. I'd skipped out with self-study days yesterday and the day before. At this rate, come finals, the odds of topping the class were gonna tank hard because of attendance alone.
"Ugh, what a pain..."
Rumors had spread through the department, and now all the underclassmen knew and kept acting like they were in on it. These days, I only bothered going during exam week. Even wearing training pants like the day before yesterday felt off. It had gotten way more annoying than before.
I needed something comfy... but damn, all my other clothes were still hanging on the drying rack.
"Hmm, this'll do."
The rest were out drying from before—back when I'd shaken down those punk-ass thugs and snagged their stuff too. I threw on an outfit. Come to think of it, my cash was starting to run low. Wonder if those punks had anything left.
"Part-time gig? Hell no."
There was an easy way to get by—who the hell enjoys the hard road? Not me, that's for sure. Showing off a bit would've let me shake 'em down worry-free for more cash, but ever since the rumors turned positive, no punks were coming near me.
Thinking about it, yeah, the rumors pissed me off sometimes, but they might've made things more convenient than before. Punks picking fights on sight versus underclassmen who just whispered from afar without getting too close.
"Damn, maybe I should've just kept living like that."
Regretting it now was pointless anyway. To make lecture on time, I bolted out the door in a rush. Living close meant I could slack off, but now I was cutting it razor-thin. That's why folks nearby end up late more often.
"Uwa, screw it—time stop..."
I couldn't even finish the thought. I'd just dashed out the house toward school when something blunt cracked against me. My vision went black.
".........ra."
A thick, unfamiliar man's voice rang out. Waking up to some dude's voice? A sweet girl rousing me would've been too much to ask.
"......said."
The tone grew more aggressive. No, I was trying to open my eyes... but they just wouldn't budge. My head was spinning like mad.
"Get up!"
A splash of icy water hit my face, and my eyes flew open. My head still reeled, but this was no normal hangover—I knew something was seriously off. Unfamiliar surroundings, a line of strangers staring me down. And my body... wouldn't move.
"Ugh..."
I grimaced and looked down. There I was, strapped to a chair.
"What the..."
My torso and hands were bound, but kinda sloppily.
"Sleep well?"
A deep bass voice. Just hearing it sent chills straight down my spine.
"Where... am I...?"
I pried my mouth open cautiously, and laughter erupted from all around.
"Puhaha! You think we'll tell ya?"
"Bwoong."
"Puhuhu..."
Fuck's sake. Just asking a damn question.
"Ugh... my head hurts..."
"Told the boys to bring you polite-like, but they went and used a tool. Bound to ache."
The bass guy waved a hand, silencing the laughs.
"That..."
"Caught you, huh?"
The man started to say something about my clothes when a stunning woman with vibrant pink long hair and cat-like features sauntered out. What the hell, that babe?
"Ah, you've arrived."
"Boss lady's here!"
A noisy chorus broke out everywhere. I'd pegged the bass guy as the boss, but nah—the real head was her. A woman running the yakuza? Rare as hell.
"We tried handling it on our turf, so we grabbed you."
"You were pissed that time and talked big, but I got curious too, y'know."
I spotted a vein twitching on the man's forehead. Bad blood between them? Still, his attitude was awfully deferential.
"So you're the punk who wrecked even our low-level guys."
"They came at me first. You saying I should've just taken it?"
"Oh my, feisty. I like that."
Click-clack. Her heels rang sharp and clear in my ears. The outfit? No joke. Every step made her half-exposed cleavage jiggle wildly, the deep plunge showing damn near everything, and that short skirt...
