Chapter 17: The Subway of Desire (1)
"Do you really think it's okay to even ask what that spoiled little shit's been getting up to?"
"S-sorry... Boss!"
The voice was profoundly heavy. The giant of a man—easily towering over two meters—slammed his forehead against the floor and bowed his head low. His expression showed no change whatsoever.
"I clearly told you to stick by that bastard's side and make damn sure he doesn't cause any trouble, didn't I?"
No inflection in his tone, no emotion bleeding through—just a flat, emotionless drone that sent chills racing across the big man's skin. The boss's face remained placid, utterly unchanged, but the giant knew better. He could tell the boss was in a rage he could barely contain.
"I bought you, you worthless hunk of meat, with good money. What did I tell you that was for?"
"Y-you told me... to watch over the young master closely... and make sure he doesn't get into any accidents..."
"Right. That's exactly what I said. I even told you it was fine to use force to keep him in line if you had to."
"Y-yes, sir!"
An endless stream of head-bows was all he could manage under the crushing pressure bearing down on his shoulders. He was powerless to do anything else.
"But if that punk keeps stirring up shit right under your nose... I don't have any reason to keep a useless lump like you around anymore, do I?"
The man slouched crookedly in his office chair, staring down the giant. Finally, he rose from his seat.
"Hiiik! S-sorry! P-please, spare me, Boss!"
"Useless failures get disposed of."
He closed the distance, locking eyes with the giant, each word deliberate and laced with cold force.
The burly men waiting in the wings grabbed the giant and dragged him out like a ragdoll.
"B-Boss! Please! Have mercy! PLEEEEASE!"
The screams faded as the door slammed shut, leaving silence in their wake. Only then did the boss flop back into his chair and beckon to the men still lingering.
"Bring him here."
"The young master, sir?"
"Who the hell else would I mean right now?"
"S-sorry! We'll fetch him immediately."
The remaining men cleared out. He swiveled his chair toward the sunlit window and settled in. Basking in the warm rays, his eyes half-lidded in lazy contentment, he swept back his fallen bangs with one hand.
"Tch. Pathetic worms."
Under the drowsy spring sunlight, eyes closed, he sat utterly still—nothing but the faint rhythm of his breathing.
Thinking back on it, that had been pretty damn risky. The guy was obviously tangled up with the mob. Sure, I could've just stopped time with my power and sorted it all out—but I was already swamped with fucking, and wasting it on that crap felt like a massive loss.
"Fuck, but I couldn't just let him smash the door down either."
And after the door got wrecked? Obviously, I'd have ended up getting my ass handed to me by that meathead.
"Maybe I should bulk up a bit?"
But even if I trained, taking on gangsters head-on wasn't realistic. There's a reason they say no one beats a tough guy in a brawl.
Best bet was probably just freezing time and stripping them all naked anyway.
"Ah, screw it. Time to go fuck some girls first."
Staring at all those naked dudes had left a bad taste in my mouth. What I needed was women's soft, squishy bodies to set things right.
I still had two uses of my power left today, so I decided to go ahead with that plan I'd been mulling over.
"Subway groper turned porn shooter—ain't that a classic plot?"
If someone asked if that shit was doable in real life, I'd have to say I wasn't sure. I'd been neck-deep in porn and hentai since middle school. Aside from that brief Yoonah fangirl phase, I didn't have much memory of mingling with people.
"Eh, whatever—with two uses left, I can just rewind and fix any mess."
I straightened my back confidently and threw on some plain, forgettable clothes that wouldn't draw eyes.
Not that I dressed flashy on the normal days anyway. These were just my usual duds...
"Nearest station sounds good."
The station near my place was a ten-minute walk away—OO Station. Pretty noonas to ride today, line 'em up short and sweet~!
Humming cheerfully, I headed out. What usually took ten minutes, I blazed through in five, all pumped up.
Stepping into the subway station, even in that awkward afternoon lull, it was buzzing with people.
"Hmm..."
I scanned the crowd slowly and pulled out my transit card—the one I hadn't touched much since my time-stop life kicked off.
