Settling Scores with a Post
Kreeeak...
She kicked off the rooftop and flung open the window to the top floor. The guild master's office, impeccably tidy, stood empty.
'Wonder when she'll show.'
Ryu Shin-ah had said she always stuck around until this hour. Kwon Yul perched on the window sill, swinging her legs idly for a moment, when the closed door suddenly clicked open.
Lee Yu-na, stepping inside, froze in place.
"......Ah."
"Hey there."
Today's greetings were piling up. Yul gave a casual nod.
Lee Yu-na, stiff as a board, hurriedly bowed in return.
"What brings you here...?"
"Got business with you. Saw your post. Hunter board."
"Figured as much."
"Wasn't it posted for me to see in the first place?"
"You've caught on quick."
Her eyes held an awkward glint. Yul let out a small chuckle. She'd sensed it last time, but Lee Yu-na was worlds apart from Gu Se-ji.
"That thing you wanted to say in the gate—that was it, right?"
"......Yes. I wanted to warn you ahead of time and apologize."
"No need for apologies or anything."
Yul meant it. There was no reason for Lee Yu-na to apologize to her.
Guilds offered more freedom than hunters under the government-affiliated Management Bureau, plus better income. That freedom was a guild's core identity. If anything, it was surprising they'd turned down the government's compensation.
"Anyway, the point is, I've got a proposal for you."
"......For me?"
"You know I'm not joining any guild. I prefer going solo. Hate revealing my identity."
Joining meant registering your real name, no exceptions.
Yul pulled her terminal from her pocket and gave it a light shake. It had been ages since she'd last used it properly.
"I'll help you out once later. Call me when you need a hand."
"Pardon?!"
"Search my nickname on the nationwide hunter finder, hit private message."
"I-I know that much!"
Lee Yu-na gawked at the unnecessarily detailed instructions.
The terminal—issued by the Management Bureau to registered hunters—was a fusion of hunter powers and tech. Its main use was dungeon scanning, but with the hunter channels added, it doubled as a second smartphone these days.
And with that, she could request help from LeeSeonjwaKillerGuy? Like shooting a casual KakaoTalk?
The reward(?) blew past Lee Yu-na's wildest imagination; she nearly fainted.
Yul shrugged nonchalantly.
"Hit me up then. Whether you're dying in a dungeon or whatever trivial thing."
"Why... why me...?"
"......Beats me?"
Yul ruffled her hair lightly. No grand reason.
"Just felt like it."
"......"
"Need anything else?"
Lee Yu-na blinked blankly. Yul rubbed the back of her neck and waved casually.
"Take care."
With that, she hurled herself out the window.
Yul's plummeting figure vanished into thin air, true to form—slipping in and out of shadows like a ghost.
"......Yes."
In the darkness, Kim Jae-won whispered softly.
His eyes, the color of his pale brown hair, flickered with a hazy gold.
The golden gaze tracked the traces of the bobbed hair that had melted into the black sky beyond the gaping window.
"We've drawn her out."
Appear whenever you're ready.
His lips curved into a sly arc.
And the next day.
Morning news kicked off with a press conference from Management Bureau Chief Jeon Se-han stating his position.
Yul watched with dark circles under her eyes, banana milk straw in her mouth.
"Guy's got a way with words..."
Constellation 'Blind Sovereign of the Sky' advises keeping distance from those with slick tongues.
"Yeah, tell me about it."
Yul set the banana milk aside and shut off the video on her phone.
Smooth talk like that would just spark doubts: 'Another lie?' or 'Too convenient for the Bureau?'
'Gotta drive the nail in, then.'
Logging into the hunter board, Yul gave her prepped post a final once-over.
Nickname: LeeSeonjwaKillerGuy.
Seeing it next to the author field felt oddly satisfying—she'd snagged it upon signup. Second time posting; last was a comment.
Yul smoothed her messy hair and hit post.
Post registered.
She lounged on the sofa, hands stacked on her belly, waiting for comments. Twenty minutes later, she checked her phone.
Hey, LeeSeonjwaKillerGuy here.
Been a while since I posted directly. Not an impersonator—this is the real deal. Attaching a pic from way back in a dungeon with HamsuLogKkun just in case. (WithTheKing_OnTheVastBlackSeaBeach.jpg)
File name's how Hamsu saved it—weird, sorry not sorry.
Anyway, my stance matches the Bureau Chief's statement. Went in person, settled it. Figured posting direct might add credibility since it's all out there. Hope this wraps it up.
Wish no other hunter deals with this crap again.
+ BTW, no plans set for future activities, but not pausing like last time. Nickname questions? Still no. See my comment on that other hunter's post.

Yul's black eyes, scanning the comments, chilled at the familiar nickname.
You again... why are you here...?
<My universe...>
"Hello?"
Right on cue, her phone rang. Speak of the devil.
Yul picked up without checking the caller.
"Hello?"
"Met the others yesterday?"
"Yeah."
"You're really letting it slide? For real?"
Ryu Shin-ah sounded thoroughly displeased. Yul rolled her eyes at the floating blue status window nearby.
It read: Constellation 'Blind Sovereign of the Sky' trusts our Yul-i and grins mischievously.
"Guess what I'll do."
"......You're not the smash-everything type, but you won't just sit idle, right?"
"Bingo."
"Spill. Need backup?"
Ryu Shin-ah's tone had already shifted to playful excitement, as if her hunch was confirmed.
Yul burst into giggles.
"Find out what 'compensation' Daehwanjang Guild got from the Bureau Chief."
"Obvious—dungeon rights, duh?"
"Whatever it is, all of it. Convert to numbers."
Switching to speaker, Yul reloaded the board. Comments were hitting five figures, updating live.
"We'll take exactly that much."
Profits through her? Fair game to reap.
"Gear up for dungeon runs. Gonna steal a ton soon."
Hunters had the perfect loophole: 'dungeon stealing'.
Ryu Shin-ah chuckled in satisfaction at her order.
"On it—pulling the list."
The moment world #1 and domestic #7 announced a dungeon heist collab.
