Role Playing Life (3)
I get back into the car and continue scanning the city. The fact that I keep seeing zombies is actually a relief. It’s proof that there are no humans around. That means I can move about without worry. Besides, zombies can't do anything to this car anyway.
Thud! Another one gets hit by the car and goes flying. I’d already confirmed through experiments that these things aren't smart, but I’d still harbored a sliver of doubt. Seeing them act like this, though, that doubt vanishes completely. Are they deer? Why do they just throw themselves in front of a moving vehicle and die? Pathetic.
I spent the entire day circling the area. As expected, there are no survivors. I couldn't find a camping supply store, either. It’s a real shame the search function doesn't work. If I could just search, I’d have found one in no time. The biggest issue is that I don't even know if a camping supply store exists in this area. Well, there’s no way around it, so it can't be helped.
As the sun begins to set, I head back to the main base. No matter how certain I am that there are no survivors, taking a circuitous route back to base is mandatory. I’m not complacent enough to skip that. I return to the base and start by disinfecting my body. Maybe I should just leave the car outside? Disinfecting it every single time is a huge drain on supplies. I’ll have to think about that more. For now, I still have plenty of stock. If I try to save it and the chemicals degrade or something, that’s a loss, too. So, I need to keep doing what I’ve been doing for a while longer. I’ll check the remaining amount later and decide whether to leave the car outside.
I eat a simple dinner and then exercise. Exercise is non-negotiable. I can't skip it just because I’m tired or can't be bothered. If I do, I’ll quickly become lazy. So, I have to do it even if I don't want to. There are always more things in this world that you don't want to do than things you do. So, you just have to get it done.
Once I finish my workout, I start thinking about the woman again. A woman whose name I don't even know. A woman I don't even care to know. So, I go to her.
I open the door to the lab, and she adjusts her posture as if she’d been waiting for me. "Welcome back. Today..." She tries to say something, but I just stride over and suck on her breasts. She shuts her mouth and immediately lets out a soft moan, accepting it. Seeing this, I realize she’s a woman who knows how to read the room. She knows exactly what’s in her best interest. I suck on her soft, supple breasts. It’s a maddening sensation. An irresistible touch. As I hold one breast in my mouth and grope the other, my brain hands over control to my cock. That’s the biggest problem with men. The fact that control keeps shifting to what’s between our legs. It doesn't help that this woman’s breasts are large and beautiful. If they were a little smaller, or if she’d stuffed them with implants, I wouldn't have lost control so easily. But for better or worse, this woman’s breasts are perfect. Being like this makes me forget all my worries. Well, that’s probably why she’s still alive. If she didn't have breasts like these, her lymph nodes would have been harvested already.
Anyway, I keep sucking and touching them. Why are breasts so good? Sucking them with my mouth is great, and touching them is great, too. Just the fact that they’re in my hands is good. It doesn't even have to be my hands. My cheek, my lips—it’s all good. Even if they touch my face, nose, arms, or body, it’s good. I just love breasts. I’m probably not the only one who feels that way. Any man would be the same. You never get tired of breasts. Because they’re the one thing you want to keep touching no matter how much you already have.
But I can't spend all day like this. I don't want to look like I’m clinging to her. I have to make sure she understands, deep in her brain, that I am the one in charge. That’s the only way she won't cross the line. I grab my cock and push it into her body. It slides in smoothly. A warm sensation. She lets out a delicate moan, pleasing my ears once again. I don't know if she’s truly feeling it. It might just be a moan crafted solely to stimulate me. The reason I think that is simple: it’s a well-made moan. It sounds like a moan that’s been thoroughly calculated. Like restaurant food loaded with MSG? It’s definitely delicious. I can't deny that. But that’s not particularly important, so I just listen to her moans and thrust my hips. As long as it sounds good, that’s enough. As long as I’m having a good time, that’s all that matters.
The faster I move, the more intense her moans become. And when I ejaculate, she lets out a ragged breath, as if she’s truly satisfied. As I pull my cock out, she wraps her arms around my neck like a snake and whispers sweetly into my ear.
"Can't you sleep here tonight? I... I want to do more. Until I’m so exhausted from sex that I collapse."
It’s certainly a sweet temptation. But hearing it leaves me with a strange sense of displeasure. I don't know the exact reason why.
"Don't talk nonsense."
I say that, brush her arms off, wash myself off, get dressed, leave the room, and lock the door. I ponder why I felt that displeasure all the way back to my room until I lie down on my bed. And soon, I realize the reason.
I hated the fact that she was making a demand of me. To put it precisely, it was a feeling of, 'How dare a tool?' And it might also be because there was an ulterior motive behind her words. She wants to improve her situation. She probably wants a bit more freedom. I don't think she’s planning to do something to me and take over this place. She wouldn't be stupid enough for that. Regardless, she made a useless attempt. And that’s what made me feel bad.
Am I tired of her? If I had any attachment to her or any shred of care, I would have granted a request like that without a second thought. But I don't. Her demand bothered me. It was unpleasant. Yeah. In the end, that’s it. To put it simply, it can be summed up in two words: "How dare."
She’s just a woman who used to work in a room salon. Just a woman who would follow anyone and offer her body to this guy and that guy. Not every woman is okay. Just because she has a cunt doesn't mean she’s special. A cunt is just for sticking a cock into. Anything more than that requires the qualifications to demand it. And she doesn't have those qualifications. She never did.
Anyway, I think about that as I drift off to sleep. Yeah. She’s not a woman worth thinking about deeply. She’s just a well-made tool, so I’ll use her until she’s no longer useful. I’ll think about what to do after that when the time comes.
And so, another day dawns. I continue exploring Dongtan. It felt strange to roam a city that had become a place of zombies and plants. Is there any easier way to realize that the world has ended? Everywhere I go, it’s empty. Everywhere I go, there are no living things. Well, you could argue that zombies are alive, but calling them that would be an insult to the living.
I scour the area, thinking I’ll hit every single road. I suppose that’s possible since this isn't such a huge city. Plus, since it’s a new city, the roads are laid out in a way that’s relatively easy to navigate. The problem is that the city boundaries aren't clearly defined. Dongtan is connected to Suwon. There are no signs saying, "This is Dongtan, and from here on is Suwon!" so it’s a bit ambiguous to navigate. Still, I keep going. At least in the areas I’ve scouted. That is, Osan and the southern part of Dongtan. Places where new and old cities are mixed together. Everywhere I went, there were zombies. They chased after me, and some of them kept slamming into the car. So, I’ve become very accustomed to hitting things with the car. If I had the dashcam turned on, I’d probably have recorded hundreds of collision detections.
After roaming for three more days, I finally found a camping supply store. And it’s a massive building. A shop the size of a decent factory. I even wonder if a store this big could have turned a profit when the world was normal. Anyway, I park the car and get out. A zombie in the distance sees me and starts dragging its legs toward me, but as soon as I pull out the lymph node, the zombies slow down and come to a complete stop. It’s truly fascinating. Isn't this magic? So, I walk into the camping supply store feeling a bit smug.
Perhaps because it’s a large, well-stocked place, there’s nothing they don't have. There are tents and things like that, of course, and an endless supply of other goods. Seeing all this stuff left behind like this really makes me realize how quickly humanity collapsed. If it had happened slowly, there’s no way these things would still be here.
I rummage through the goods. Naturally, the first thing I look for is a kukri. Of course, I don't expect to find one. I’d be happy just finding a similar jungle knife. Fortunately, there are plenty of jungle knives. And surprisingly, a wide variety of them, too. It’s funny. No matter how you look at it, these are swords. I remember these weren't even classified as swords. So, they just sold them freely.
I pack up everything that looks decent. There’s no reason to take just one. It’s not like I’m paying for them. I load up all the things that seem necessary. I load up burners, butane gas, camping pots, all of it. I also grab plenty of torches, backpacks, lanterns, and batteries, and I sweep up all the rope and carabiners I can find. These were things I’d been thinking I wanted more of anyway. I’m filling my supply like this. How grateful.
I return with an armful of goods. Then, I stop by Choi Elder’s house and show Arjun the jungle knives and knives I brought back. I ask him which one he likes.
"Oh..." Arjun’s eyes sparkle. Then, he carefully chooses a knife. It’s the same look he had when I first saw him. He’s incredibly serious.
"Pick whatever you want. It’s all stuff I can leave behind anyway."
"This one. And this one."
Arjun picks two knives. Both are items that are at least somewhat similar to a kukri. He seems quite pleased. Ordinarily, I should be worried—what if this man holding a knife suddenly stabs me? But that thought doesn't cross my mind at all. Because this is that kind of place. Because I have faith that such a thing won't happen.
Faith. Trust. Things that are hard to build once, but once built, don't collapse easily. Like a stone tower. As long as you don't kick it, the stone tower stands firm, maintaining its shape. It wouldn't budge even in a storm or through most events. However, a stone tower can be broken by a human’s kick. And a human is a being that can kick a stone tower at any time. So, I don't go so far as to think the stone tower will be eternal and indestructible. Just this much. This is the essence of my amusement. To lower my guard a little, but not to eliminate it entirely. I don't know how long this relationship will last. But for now, I’m building a stone tower. A stone tower that will eventually collapse. A stone tower that I can kick down with my own feet one day.
