Serina Gets Curious About Acting Cute - Part 2
Serina tilted back the ale Sylvia had brought and drank deeply. Just as I’d feared, after downing two full glasses she started swaying, barely able to keep herself upright.
“Serina!”
The moment she tipped sideways, I barely managed to grab her shoulder and pull her back.
“That’s why I told you to stop drinking.”
“It’s spinning…!”
“Is there somewhere she can lie down?”
“Oh no…! This way, please.”
Sylvia guided us to a spot where Serina could rest. There was a long sofa there. We laid her down on it for now.
“I shouldn’t have given her any.”
“It’s fine. If you hadn’t, she would’ve thrown a fit.”
“Still…”
“It’s okay.”
Serina sprawled on the sofa without a care in the world, her face flushed bright red.
“Ugh. She’s such a lightweight.”
“Mmm… lightweight?”
“Yeah. Extremely lightweight.”
“Th-then… does that mean I’m cute?”
“How is that supposed to be cute?”
“They say being weak is cute. Whatever. Just eat your food.”
Once she got drunk, Serina’s nonsense only increased. I returned to my seat and finished the dinner I’d barely touched.
“Oh, right. Lady Sylvia, when are you going to invite Lucas over to your house?”
“I’m still not sure yet!”
“Ahaha. So he’s not putting on that arrogant front anymore?”
“No! Not at all! He agrees with everything I say and reacts really well! Did something happen to him?”
“Nothing in particular.”
“I’m just joking! I’m amazed a person can change this much.”
The guy must be following Amon’s advice to the letter. While Sylvia talked about Lucas, she had nothing but praise for him. It looked like she’d developed a real fondness.
“I hope my sister ends up marrying that Lucas guy!”
Oh. Maria was turning out to be a reliable ally.
“My goodness! What are you saying? You’ll make Lord Allen misunderstand!”
“Not at all. When I saw you two at the shop, you looked good together.”
“It’s too soon! I still don’t know much about Lucas yet!”
“Sister! You can just get to know him!”
That’s right. Well said. When Maria and I started egging Sylvia on, she grew embarrassed and covered her cheeks with her palms. Whether from the ale or not, a deep blush spread across her face.
“Let’s talk about something else!”
“Haha, alright!”
“Lord Allen, have you heard the news?”
“What news?”
“Lately, a lot of people say they’ve spotted vampires near the village!”
“Vampires? Not ghouls?”
“Yes. We’ve never seen monsters this close to the village before.”
“Right?”
“So the villagers are scared these days. They’re worried the vampires might attack.”
“Come on, that’s unlikely. An invasion?”
“I suppose so. That’s probably why Lucas hasn’t been able to visit.”
“Really?”
Vampires all of a sudden? I’d definitely heard they were at war with Amon. It seemed strange they’d come all the way down here.
“Don’t worry. It’s probably nothing serious.”
“I hope so… They say vampires love the blood of young women…! It makes me anxious.”
Young women’s blood. The moment Sylvia said it, my eyes were drawn to the veins visible beneath her fair skin. Delicate blue vessels stood out clearly above her chest.
Gulp.
Yeah… I can see why they’d like that. Me too…
“Lord Allen?!”
“Yes?”
“You suddenly zoned out…”
“Ah… I was just worried. People like you and Maria—with such big… hearts, I mean—should be extra careful.”
“I understand. I’ll be careful.”
I’d have to ask Lucas about this vampire business. There had never been a single monster sighting near the village until now. I really hoped it was nothing.
“O… Oppa… water!”
A strange sound came from somewhere.
“Huh?”
“O… Oppa, water…”
We all turned toward the source of the voice. There was no way the sleeping Serina had spoken. Just in case, I asked the witch.
“What did you just say, Serina?”
“…”
No answer. Must have misheard.
“Oppa. Water.”
“Wait… Oppa?”
I asked again, startled. There was no way Serina would call me that.
“You heard it too, right, Lady Sylvia? Serina just called him Oppa.”
“Um… I’m not sure. Did she?”
“She definitely did… Serina, say it again.”
“Mmmnya… mmmnya…”
The witch suddenly smacked her lips. She must have been talking in her sleep.
“D… Daddy… water.”
“Ah! Lady Serina is sleep-talking! She’s asking her dad for water! She must be dreaming.”
“So it was sleep-talking. I almost got goosebumps thinking she said Oppa.”
“That’s mean…! Why would that give you goosebumps?!”
“It’s not mean. There’s no way she’d say something like that.”
“Serina is a woman too, you know!”
“Sister, should I bring Serina some water?”
“Yeah. She seems thirsty. Go give it to her.”
Maria filled a glass to the brim and went over to Serina.
“Lady Serina, here’s some water. Drink and go back to sleep.”
“Mmmnya mmmnya…”
“Lady Serina?”
“Mmm…? What is it.”
“You seemed like you wanted water, so I brought some.”
“Okay.”
The witch must have been quite parched; she gulped it down in one go.
“One more glass.”
“Another? I’ll get it right away.”
Serina drank the second glass Maria brought, then fell right back asleep.
After chatting with Sylvia and Maria for a long while, night had grown deep.
“We should head back now.”
“Right! Did the dinner suit your taste?”
“Yes. It was the best.”
“I’m glad.”
I stood up and tried to wake the witch. She was sleeping so deeply she wouldn’t budge.
“Serina. Time to wake up.”
“Mmm…”
“We have to go home…”
It took a long time to rouse her.
“Lady Sylvia, can we buy the fruit jelly anytime tomorrow?”
“Um… if you come in the afternoon, that should be fine! I’ll set some aside for you.”
“Thank you.”
“Not at all. Get home safely.”
“We will. Maria, I had fun today. See you tomorrow, Lady Sylvia!”
“Bye, Oppa! Bye, Lady Serina!”
With Sylvia and Maria seeing us off, I headed home with a still-drowsy witch. She hadn’t fully woken up yet and could barely keep her eyes open.
“Allen.”
“Yeah?”
“Carry me.”
“No.”
“Tch… carry me.”
“I’m too full. No.”
When I refused to carry her, the witch looked sulky.
“Oppa…”
“What?”
“Allen… Oppaaa…”
Serina called me Oppa with a shy little face. I stared at the witch in shock. This was ridiculous.
“Stop that.”
“Oppaaaa.”
“I said stop.”
Sudden anger flared up inside me. It felt so artificial. Some new form of harassment? It was nothing like the pure, innocent way Maria said it. If Maria’s “Oppa” was like pure white milk, Serina’s was thick, heavy wine.
When I put on a straight face, the witch’s expression twisted like her pride had been wounded. I ignored her and kept walking, but she came running after me.
“Waaaah… carry meeee.”
The witch refused to give up. She pressed her arms together, squeezing her chest between them while waving them around beneath her red fedora. She approached while bouncing her soft breasts up and down.
“Wh-what are you doing?”
“Waaaah! Carry meeeee…!”
Her pupils had shrunk to pinpricks. The red color made it even more intense.
“S-stop it. You think I’ll carry you just because you do that?”
“Waaaah! Carry me carry meeee!”
The more flustered I got, the closer she pushed her chest. When I tried to back away, she charged forward while shaking her shoulders.
Thud—
I got hit by her flailing shoulder. The right one felt like it was already swelling.
“Ow… Fine, I’ll carry you, so stop.”
“You should’ve done that from the start.”
I stood up, clutching my shoulder. Serina looked satisfied as she prepared to climb on. What a brute. My shoulder was throbbing.
The witch jumped onto my back.
“Looks like I have a talent for being cute.”
“Out of nowhere?”
“Yeah. You couldn’t even resist.”
The witch seemed to be under a serious misunderstanding. I only gave in because that shoulder attack was actually threatening.
“I don’t think so…”
“What if I hit you again?”
“If you hit me…? I’ll do whatever you want.”
“Then will you marry me?”
“Why does that come up…”
“You said you’d do anything.”
“Hah… Why are you so obsessed with marrying me?”
“Forget it. Don’t answer.”
“No, tell me. But what if I’m right?”
“I’ll do whatever you tell me to do.”
“Really? For life?”
“Not for life.”
“What?”
“Three days?”
“Too short.”
“Then one week?”
“Fine. If your cuteness works on the person I choose, I’ll admit it.”
“I’ll make you regret this.”
The witch spoke with full confidence. We’d made a bet where the loser had to do anything the winner wanted. For me, it was a bet with nothing to lose. I was already doing whatever the witch told me anyway. Even marriage—if she threatened me, I’d have no choice. Though I’d resist to the end.
I was certain no one would fall for Serina’s pathetic attempt at being cute.
“But do you really hate the idea of marrying me that much?”
The witch asked in a gloomy voice.
“Suddenly…?”
“Yeah. I’m pretty, and my chest is big.”
“Your chest is big, sure… but you keep saying you’ll kill me.”
“You do things that deserve it.”
“When did I—”
“I don’t care. I’m annoyed. You ruined my mood. Run at full speed. Like a horse.”
“Hey. You’re doing it again.”
“Shut up. Hiyah!”
The witch grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked. I was already dying under her weight, and now this. Plus she’d been drinking, so she felt even heavier…
While sprinting at full speed, my hand accidentally landed on Serina’s rear.
Shit. Am I screwed?
I decided to play dumb. Whoa… but damn, her ass is huge… Should I give it a little squeeze?
As I ran faster, her body bounced. That soft, springy texture. I took longer strides so I could naturally grab it.
Hup—!
Squeeze… Oh yeah… The feeling was incredible.
“Does it feel good?”
“Huh…?”
“I asked if it feels good to touch my ass.”
“Ah… So that was your ass. I was running so hard I didn’t even notice. Sorry.”
“Ugh. Hey. If you marry me, you can touch my ass for the rest of your life. You still don’t want to?”
Huh…? Did she learn how to act cute properly from Maria? It was actually tempting.
Allen, get a grip. Just get through this moment. Don’t become a slave to lust.
I pinched my own thigh and answered.
“That lump of fat? I don’t feel anything.”
“Then take your hand off.”
“Wait… just a little longer…”
I begged, but the merciless witch twisted the hand that was gripping her rear.
Crack—
Ah… I probably won’t be able to use my wrist for a while… What the hell did my hand ever do to her ass…
