The Top Clan Doesn't Need to Toss Hamburgers
"I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere..."
Ryu Shinwoo, who went by the nickname Shuri in Galaxy Express, scratched the back of his head and tilted it in confusion.
He was staring intently at the cosplay photo posted by VelvetAria.
Am I finally losing it...? I know I’ve seen her somewhere... Where did I see a woman with a chest that big?
Naturally, he was a user of the Galaxy Express Gallery.
He had no choice but to see the cosplay photo Kwon Seah had posted because she wanted praise for her body.
It was a post with more than 200 comments, and it was a hot topic not only in the gallery but also in clan chat.
"Haaa..."
Shuri scratched the back of his head once more with his fingers.
The more he looked at Kwon Seah’s photo, the more he felt that he had seen her somewhere before, and he couldn’t shake the feeling.
In fact, he was the only player of Galaxy Express who had actually met Kwon Seah in real life.
Of course, that didn’t mean he had seen her naked, so it was impossible for him to look at a cosplay photo and immediately connect it to her.
Where did I see her...? I know I’ve definitely seen her before...
The reason he kept thinking of Kwon Seah while looking at the cosplay photo came down to one thing: the tiny mole on her collarbone.
Ironically, Shuri had no idea that he was vaguely recognizing Kwon Seah by that mole.
It had been a chance encounter at a PC bang, after all.
He didn’t even know her name.
All he had stored away in some corner of his mind was the memory of having met a weird woman who spent money like a madwoman on the wind.
Stop thinking ridiculous things and finish the strategy guide.
Shuri clicked his tongue and went right back to the guide he had been writing for ages.
At the same time, he turned his head left and shot a quick glance at Kwon Seah’s stream playing on the dual monitor.
"Since our clan leader said she’s finally recruiting clan members."
It had only been ten days since Kwon Seah started streaming.
Shuri watched her every single day, to the point that he could honestly call himself a devoted viewer.

I finished my shower in a good mood as always and flopped onto the bed in my underwear, idly poking at my smartphone.
Today, with only two days left until clan war, the gallery was burning as expected.
The reason was simple.
The clan system had a tiny little bug in it.
When you work hard at clan activity, the clan levels up.
Then the clan’s capacity increases, and naturally, the more members you have, the more points you can earn in clan war.
No matter how casually you run clan war, like Ddutae does, two extra people making it in is not something you can wave off as insignificant.
"And the higher up you go, the better the clan war rewards become exponentially, so of course people want to move to a better clan if they can."
Thanks to that, with only two days left before clan war, the atmosphere was heating up not just in the gallery but in-game as well.
So what was my clan situation in the middle of this chaos?
We only had about half our members gathered.
At this point, even if I scored for two people by myself, there was no way we could take first place in clan war.
But for some reason, I was absurdly relaxed.
So the thing about asking the guild leader to buy burgers was just a joke, right?
This bastard left the clan because I didn’t indulge him?
What the hell, am I supposed to pull characters and buy hamburgers for my clan members too???
Unlike other clan leaders who were throwing burgers around just to gather members, my stance was completely different.

The MCN Lee Eunbyul, the chief of staff, had made for me was a huge help.
I’d casually asked her to make me a little “cafe,” and she’d gone and made me a website instead!
Anyway, now that I had my own little kingdom, I could carry out today’s content without a hitch.
"Today, as promised yesterday, I’ll be recruiting clan members!"
"The application requirements you’ve all been worried about are actually pretty loose! Some of you were worried you’d need full limit break and full materials on Modred, right?"
If you have every character at full limit break and full materials, then of course you can score highly in clan war.
If possible, it would be best if all 34 clan members were like me and had every character fully maxed.
But! There’s a difference between what’s good and what’s realistically possible!
"You all know the clan war scoring system was a little messy last time, right? It got reworked this time."
I quickly alt-tabbed and showed them the announcement posted in-game.
"The clan war itself works the same, but the scoring is now much easier to understand and much clearer, right?"
"Exactly! See? Someone who actually watches my stream properly! Killing a boss gives 600 points! One star gives 100 points! Clearing it with three stars gives an extra 100 points! So if you kill one boss perfectly with three stars, you now get 1,000 points?"
I opened Paint and made the scoring easier for everyone to understand.
"What would the theoretical maximum score look like over a three-day clan war?"
<Every player gets three attack chances per day!>
<If you clear a boss with three stars, you get one more attack with that party!>
<If you clear every boss with three stars, you’ll have six total chances to score!>
[1,000 points x 6 attack chances x 3 days]
[Maximum score one clan member can earn: 18,000 points!!!]
"See how much clearer the math is now? The maximum score a user can get is laid out exactly, right?"
"First, let me show you my score? I think then you’ll see just how generous my recruitment conditions are!"
Even I, with my drawer full of full-limit-break, full-material characters, couldn’t reach 18,000 points.
That was only natural, really.
To hit 18,000 points, you’d have to fight boss monsters for all three days and never lose a single battle while taking them down!
In a clan war system where bosses grow harder and gain new patterns every time they’re defeated, it’s impossible to clear every enemy even on the last day.
On top of that, one of the conditions for getting a star was ridiculous nonsense like “clear it with the boss at 90% health or higher at the start.”
Because of that, even if you got three stars on your first attack and earned 1,000 points, if you couldn’t properly finish the enemy on your next attack, you’d miss stars and lose points no matter what.
That was why the viewers were so shocked.
In practical terms, 18,000 points was just the cap the system itself had put in place!
"All right, you’ve all seen it, right? Honestly, even in our clan, it’s a little hard to find people who can break 16,000 points."
Usually, the range was more like 15,000 points.
Shuri and Renako’s Princess Palace Expedition Team had managed to follow with 16,000, but even then there was still a bit of a gap between them and me.
For reference, Heretic had 16,320 points.
"All right! Since some of you are starting to beg through donations, I’ll announce the score cutoff right now! And for the record, you don’t need every character at full limit break and full materials! What matters is the score!"
Of course, it’d be easier to score if every character was fully maxed, but saying it like this would make the requirements sound a lot looser!
"This time, the score cutoff will be 14,000 points! Pretty generous, right? But if you want to keep doing clan war with me for a long time, then while a high score matters, passion matters too!"
Honestly, this wasn’t some lightbulb you just replace, so we couldn’t go looking for new clan members every single clan war.
No, that’d be a pain!
It would only be annoying if someone pumped out 16,000 points in this clan war and then quit like a ghost before the next one.
Even if their score was a little lacking, I’d rather have someone who would stay with me all the way until the game shut down and keep patting my head, cheering for me, and sticking around.
"If you’re a little short, I’ll make up the difference myself, okay? Please apply a lot!"
This score cutoff had been decided after serious discussion with every clan member, including Shuri.
Shuri’s comment in particular had stuck with me: just because you pulled 14,000 points last time didn’t mean you’d pull 15,000 this time; maybe you’d get distracted and run away, or maybe you’d only scrape out 10,000.
In other words, this score was about sincerity!
Heh. But I’d seen this coming too.
Honestly, who would think a clan that was still half empty would be able to fill itself in a single day?
But what if applicants started pouring in?
The people who had been hovering around, thinking maybe 17 wouldn’t even fill, would have no choice but to rush in all at once.
The rewards for first place and second place are blatantly different, after all!
"Not enough people to gather 17 members? That can’t be right."
Deliberately smiling, I opened the site my little MCN had made for me.
Clan Member Application Board
It was obvious, really, but...
Hawawa High School Girl had fifteen deserters.
Quite a lot of them wanted to come back to this number one clan and were already begging me in advance.
I planned to make good use of them.
Clan Member Application Board
Since I’d dangled the idea that I might take people back if they just posted properly, these fifteen people had no choice but to make earnest posts...!
Unlike the idiot who had tried to needle me by claiming 17 members would never fill, people started swarming in so fast the clan application board lagged a little.
I don’t need to hand out hamburgers, you know?
Because I’m the number one clan!
