The packages I absolutely felt I had to buy had, in truth, a very simple condition.
“I’ll only buy them if they contain items you can only get with money, or things you can’t buy any other way except through whaling!”

I clapped along with perfect timing and cheered loudly.
“The rules for this minigame are very simple, nyang!”
“My character and Lilith’s character will be placed on the left and right sides.”
“Between us, there’s a conveyor belt spitting out items, nyang!”
“Once per round, you pick one of the three items that ride out on the conveyor belt and use it to decorate your station!”
“After five rounds, the space station we’ve worked hard to build will be judged through Pazik’s voting system, nyang!”

The moment Lilith pressed the start button, the minigame began at once.
Cheerful, lively BGM kicked in, and at the same time three items appeared on the conveyor belt.
From here on out, I had to grab one of those three items and use it to decorate the station.

As expected, the special barrier wall looked every bit as expensive as its name suggested.
The drab gray concrete blocks transformed into sleek, pretty black barriers, and the space station itself took on a remarkably clean, polished look.
“Uuugh! It looks so ugly, nyang!”
The so-called lamp thruster turned out to be a jellyfish with twenty tentacles.
A lamp dangled from its head, and it had wrapped those tentacles all around the space station.
“Oh... Lilith, that’s your taste? I mean, tentacle stuff is kind of too gross for me...”
“Don’t say weird things, nyang!”

At Lilith’s shriek, the items for round two popped out.

Apparently Lilith had picked another trap.
Her station turned into a cereal box being subjected to tentacle play.

The true identity of this item was a big, beautiful, enormous Gatling gun.
With loud metallic rattling, it mounted itself onto the station’s missile battery in an instant, and a surprisingly cool aura began pouring off of it.
“Th-this isn’t fair, nyang! Why is it that only Arnyang keeps getting cool, normal-looking items?!”
Just as Lilith grumbled in frustration, the third item popped out.
Tch. This minigame is way trap-heavy.

Hmph, but that one wasn’t really my style.
It had the look of a triangular, conical pillar, and while a fair number of fans seemed to love it, I personally didn’t care for it at all.

The dark matter thruster was a rather rugged-looking engine that spewed out luminous purple flames.
There was no twist where it turned out to be a jellyfish or a reindeer; it was just the sort of thing that would look perfectly fine mounted on any ship.
“Arnyang! If you keep being so picky, you’ll never make a cool station! Like Lilith—wh, wha?!?!”
“Lilith? Wait... is it because it’s the same blueprint item, so it won’t apply?”
“Y-you should warn people about this kind of thing beforehand, nyaaang!!!”

My space station transformed into the legendary silhouette every sci-fi movie fan would recognize.
It had become a round, spherical shape, and the black walls, fighter squadron, and Gatling gun I’d purchased all remained mounted perfectly intact.
Even the thrusters, brilliantly spilling out their flames, gave off an atmosphere that made the whole thing feel like it was radiating a black aura.
“I-in that case! There’s only one way for Lilith to win, nyang!!!”
“Li-Lilith? That looks like a textbook gambling item from every angle, doesn’t it?”
“Lilith’s station is already too late, nyang!!!”
─ Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!
A slot machine suddenly appeared above Lilith’s station and began spinning its roulette wheel with a wildly obnoxious tune.
“Give Lilith something cool, nyang! Give Lilith something cool, nyang! If it gives me an apocalypse station, I think that would set a nice mood, nyang!”
“A concept where it’s being attacked by a space jellyfish might actually work pretty well!”
Honestly, if the vote got massively tilted in my favor, I’d feel too sorry for Lilith, wouldn’t I?
I wanted a close, nail-biting win, something like sixty-forty. That’s what really makes it exciting!

Holograms of elves began dancing on poles on both sides of Lilith’s space station.
And they were even wearing skimpy swimsuits.

The voting, which began with a noisy ding-ding sound, ended up being far more intense than I’d expected.
“Ah, ah...? O-oh? N-nyaaang?!”
At first, the votes started tilting slightly toward Lilith.
Maybe because she’d burned through so many traps, and then the Space Club hologram had gone beyond overkill and somehow completed the whole “sexy concept” out of nowhere, a lot of people found it memorable.
But in the end, cereal-flavored trash can’t surpass the elite after all!
