Why the Goddesses Gave Me Their Power
I had hardly finished the thought when the answer came to me as clearly as if the goddesses themselves had spoken it.
Not because I was beloved. Not because I was special. But because I was utterly fucking useless.
That was the truth, plain and simple. I was the kind of man who deserved nothing but divine wrath.
Ancient myths had always been full of heroes who suffered the cruelest trials. Heracles had gone mad and slaughtered his own wife and children. Gilgamesh had lost Enkidu to the gods’ curse and lived in constant terror of death. Sigurd had drunk the potion of forgetting and willingly handed his beloved to Fafnir.
NTR alone was already monstrous. Drinking the memory-erasing potion and offering the girl yourself? What kind of taste was that?
Yes. Power always came with trials. And trials always came with power.
The goddesses had granted me strength for one reason only: they wanted me to fail.
But the trials themselves were ridiculous.
“Ah, fucking hell.”
Even eating, walking, sitting, or lying down, the damn curse just kept nagging at me. Even breathing brought lewd thoughts. It was a full-blown lust curse, and it never let up.
What kind of trial was that?
Yet it worked on me perfectly. I would never, ever accept becoming a non-virgin.
That was the most terrifying fall of the soul. If I lost my virginity, I would die without hesitation—no second thought, no mercy.
It was not a joke. It was a solemn vow. A promise sealed with my own blood and truth.
These so-called goddesses—demons in disguise—were casting such curses without shame.
Mythology had always shown them as monsters. No wonder the three of them were the first to be called demons.
“I have to do something. Before I lose my virginity.”
I had to reach the Tower. The Tower that contained every secret of this world. And I had to find an artifact that would break this terrible curse.
When I opened my closet to go out, I nearly fainted.
The clothes I had worn yesterday were gone, replaced by outfits that screamed “slut” the moment they were seen.
Fishnet tops. Body-stocking. Pants so short they were barely distinguishable from panties. And everything else was designed to trigger every fetish under the sun.
The worst part? I actually thought they looked kind of cute.
“Those bitches contaminated my brain up to the last cell!”
There was no normal clothing left in the entire closet.
I had no choice. I could not walk out naked, so I reluctantly pulled out a fishnet top that fit my new body perfectly.
One layer of this mesh on top of my underwear would be the perfect see-through combination.
“It is not as if wearing sexy clothes makes a virgin lose her virginity…”
This was not rationalization. This was the truth. Virgins had the right to wear sexy clothes.
I slipped on the fishnet top, then the tiny hot pants that barely covered anything, and finally the overcoat.
Wearing this perverted get-up under a perfectly normal coat was ridiculous. People would never guess the clothes underneath, which made it even more ridiculous.
It was as if Barbarossa himself would understand.
No. I was trying to understand the mind of a mad sex criminal. Impossible.
“Just break the curse. Once the curse is gone, I can return to normal life.”
I stepped outside wearing the coat and, three minutes later, was already walking back home.
Every three steps I had been propositioned. Every passerby—men, women, children, the elderly—had tried to confess their love.
My face had become the Hypnosis App.
I could not turn it on and off at will.
“Please, I need the mask and sunglasses…”
Fortunately, wearing full battle gear kept the disaster at bay. The only difference was that I now looked more like a barbarian woman than anything else.
I had no choice.
…Was there a barber nearby?

[Name: Gam Dasan] [Awakening Rank: A] [Awakening Ability: Beauty] [Patron Constellation: None] [Patron Rank: —] [Notes: —]
“Hey, your awakening ability is literally Beauty? You’re kidding, right?”
The staff member’s face twisted in anger as she read the registration form.
But I refused to hide my power or the Constellations that had given it to me.
When you have power, the first rule is to hide at least eighty percent of it.
And I could never let people see my status window was flooded with “non-virgin” warnings.
“I… I look like this.”
I pushed up the sunglasses that had been hiding my face and lowered the mask.
The staff member’s anger vanished instantly.
“I’ll register you as an A-rank awakener right now.”
I did not want to overuse the Hypnosis App on my own face, but right now it was necessary.
Hunter IDs were required to access the Hunter Community, and I needed information.
“Mr. Gam Dasan. Here is your temporary registration. The smart card will be delivered to your address in a week.”
“Thank you. Take care.”
I accepted the printed temporary registration and left the building.
At the same moment I turned on my phone and downloaded the Hunter app, then registered my account.
This was the gathering place every Non-Awakened Gallery poster had dreamed of—the Hunter Community?
I felt a little guilty, as if I had escaped the sewers only to crawl back into the sun.
“You garbage people stay here and rot. I’m moving to the upper society. Don’t try to pretend you know me later.”
I was saying goodbye to my garbage past.
But that same garbage smell would follow me back to the alley…
No, the flow of the story had suddenly jumped straight into third-rate hentai.
The curse from those goddess bitches was really that strong.
‘Not the best situation, is it?’
Because every day my mind filled with nothing but strange thoughts.
Of course, because I was cursed.
‘But it’s not that bad.’
The power the goddesses gave me was real.
Cestus Himas, the charm that enslaved anyone who saw my face. Seiðr, the sorcery that could perform miracles. The knowledge that built human civilization—.
Each of the three goddesses had bestowed one supreme authority upon me.
I understood how to use them the moment I awakened, just as data instantly became part of a connected computer.
Awakening was exactly that.
I decided to post my first thread in the Hunter Community to introduce myself.
[Artemis is the best goddess, right?]
[Because… she’s a virgin…]
[She’s a virgin. The Constellations are virgins. She’s the guardian of virgins. How can there be a goddess this perfect?]
[If you think Artemis is best, give me a thumbs-up.]
—Did you get hacked? This is the real-name verification board.
└I can swear on my real name. └Goddesses are always Artemis. └Did you get hit by a mind-attack from the Deep Sea?
The reply said “I’m completely sane.” Then this message suddenly appeared on the screen.
[Your account has been blocked for posting. Reason: Troll. Duration: One week.]
What? As a new member who had introduced myself openly, how was that a reason for blocking?
I felt an unbearable wave of rage, but the other person was on the internet, so even with the Hypnosis App on my face, there was nothing I could do.
That helpless, defeated feeling gave me the creeps.
After calming down, I closed the Hunter Community and opened the Non-Awakened Gallery.
It was simple—I just wanted to give my fellow hunters one piece of advice as a senior who had already awakened.
[Shared awakening tip]
[When a new hunter tries to pick a fight and gets scolded, a deity suddenly gets angry and turns you into a servant.]
[I awakened this way too. Do it quickly.]
I only included the truth—no lies.
I hoped someone would read this tip and, by mistake, try it… and end up like me, a failure.
Ah, damn.
I wanted a cute junior instead.
—This bastard again. Did you not eat the pills?
—The scary part is that this bastard actually got cursed by the goddesses of beauty a few days ago.
└Real? The guy is crazy lol. └He’s being punished by the deities and now looking for the next victim, right? └Terrifying. Are you calling him a cyber-zombie? └Suicide methods are endless too. └From the aggro posts, he doesn’t seem sane. └He’s not sane—he awakened! He got superpowers! └Let’s see what ability he got.
└I’ll tell you when we meet in the Tower later. └Your delusions are getting worse. Next patient.
Calling someone delusional was not a tip. Awakening was the only real thing. I had no more advice to give.
I posted my usual steady post instead in the gallery.
I felt empty without this thread when the Non-Awakened Gallery opened.
[But among the goddesses, isn’t Artemis the best?]
[Because she’s a virgin and the guardian of virgins.]
[Worship the perfect goddess Artemis.]
[Did you know that even men can receive Artemis’ protection by swearing eternal virginity?]
—Why the hell are you swearing eternal virginity out of nowhere?
—Choosing celibacy over just living? lol —Just get castrated, you bastard. —Did you want to fuck a virgin? Are men and women supposed to stay virgins forever? When the hell do you do it?
└This guy doesn’t actually want to sleep with virgins—he just likes virgins. The lunatic. └lol lol lol. He’s just making excuses because he’ll never sleep with a woman anyway. └Voluntarily single. └Ah lol. It’s not that you can’t eat, it’s that you don’t want to. lol.
Yes. This was the way my gallery should be.
It felt comfortable, as if I had been chatting with old friends for years.
What would happen if I later showed them the real proof that I had become an ultimate virgin?
If I posted a verification photo, people would say, “AI is amazing, it drew the picture so realistically.”
But what if we actually met in real life?
Would they still think the version of me that had become the ultimate virgin was just a joke?
‘Enough delusions.’
I was 100% certain I was spiraling into Non-Awakened Gallery trolling fantasies. I prayed to Artemis to stop it before it ran away.
“If the curse from the goddesses of non-virgins is not lifted soon, the purity of this body will be in real danger.”
“Holy Guardian of Purity, Artemis. Please protect all virgins so they can remain virgins today as well. Tomorrow, and forever, please let all virgins stay virgins.”
I poured my heart into the prayer.
An answer came from Artemis.
[The crescent moon that pierces the pale night says it does not wish to be hostile toward the three goddesses of beauty and love.]
[The crescent moon that pierces the pale night has blocked your DM.]
A DM?
Was that how the world of Constellations worked?
No matter how terrified I was of the three goddesses’ revenge, I could not ignore a sincere follower!
“What if you block me?”
The moment I remembered I could no longer DM the virgin goddess Artemis, my heart ached.
But just because the guardian of virgins had left did not mean I would abandon my virginity.
“I swear. I will never lose my virginity.”
Many myths ended when the gods left humanity and transferred their rule from gods to men.
Even if Artemis left, I would protect every virgin as the guardian of purity.
I would never break that vow.
