The Virgin Obsessed Woman Feared Even by the Gods
"Kyahhhou!"
James looked at Dasan and saw that she was still only known by the mysterious alias. She was a crazy person.
Ordinary people never went where ordinary people never went, and ordinary people never paid close attention to the details. James had no idea that this was what was called the K-gamer mindset.
"Look, she didn't die again!"
Dasan caught the lightning falling from the sky with her bare hand and found another hidden piece. She grinned.
She wore sunglasses and a mask, so her expression was hidden, but her voice gave it away.
"Isn't that the number-one curse men leave behind?"
The thought of her lifespan shortening made her shiver.
And her heart raced.
She understood why a man who challenged extreme sports was willing to do so.
Because they were awakened hunters, normal things wouldn't kill or hurt them. To get thrills, they had to jump into far more dangerous pits than that.
And Dasan was a woman ready for that.
'Being with this woman means no dull moments.'
She could make virgin-detection elixir with her precious elixir, grab lightning with her hand, or jump into any hole she saw.
She had weird parts, but that was the charm. Not just weird, but that was what really felt like electric, hyper charm.
'She had the strength she promised.'
When Dasan first boasted about her own strength, James had dismissed her as just a newbie who had just climbed from the lower floors.
In the upper floors, even those who flew and crawled from the lower floors would pick up and die right away. That was why James had thought he needed to rein her in even more.
But the mistake was James's, not Dasan's.
She was strong to the degree she promised and even stronger.
James quickly realized she was stronger than him.
When they faced the floor trials, she came out at speeds no one had ever seen.
She was a first for such a person.
Really, this was the first time he had felt such a thrilling emotion.
'But she must have hated me.'
James had so many bad experiences that he was already branded as unlikable.
Thinking about it this way, he wondered why he couldn't keep his first love for the most precious opportunity.
All the loves at the time had been genuine feelings, but now they looked like empty dreams.
And because of those dreams, one new opportunity had been stolen.
Was it the brides who got returned on the first night because they weren't virgins?
James was dizzy from this untimely reality check.
"There it is—the castle humans built on the 60th floor. The Gate."
They had reached the 60th floor.
This was a speed no one could have imagined.
James had thought that surviving floor trials would take a month to reach the 60th floor.
It had been a mistake.
It was a day cut short.
"Do we really have to stop by the castle? Shall we head to the next floor?"
"You're not resting at all, are you? You're just climbing the tower nonstop?"
"The Gate is near the 70th floor. We should rush there as fast as we can."
"Even if you can, I'm tired and can't push it. I need rest."
"What an useless guide."
To rest, the two arrived at the Gate.
The security team on guard greeted James.
"Welcome! Mr. James!"
"Found a usable newbie?"
"Mr. James has arrived!"
One of the security team members shouted with a booming voice as he went inside the castle.
In an instant, more than two dozen people appeared inside the castle to welcome James.
"Mr. James! You have worked hard!"
"You're still working hard for humanity today!"
James seemed to have a good reputation and many connections.
He was being treated with goodwill from them.
'I hate places where there are a lot of people.'
Humans have extroverts and introverts.
I am definitely an introvert.
I feel comfortable in places with few or no people, and talking to others drains my energy.
I'm the opposite of extroverts who get anxious when alone and recover through conversations with others.
Meeting James's friends was a bit of a burden for me.
One-on-one was fine, but when more than twenty people showed interest in me, I got excited.
"Why are you wearing a mask and sunglasses? Is it a disguise?"
"How long did it take to get here?"
"Your figure is amazing. Your body curves show even through your coat."
Man, woman, tall person, short person, fat person, thin person—all of them approached me with interest.
I was excited.
Because I was short, because I was tall, because my face was pretty, because my face was ugly, because my body was slim, because my body was fat—all the elements of everyone stimulated me.
It was a goddess's curse not to meet many people.
To keep my sanity in check, I grabbed my own shoulder with my hand.
"What are you doing?! What's going on?"
James yelled in panic.
Only then did I realize I was gripping my arm so tightly that the coat had torn and my skin was ripped.
"No, it's nothing."
"It's not nothing?"
"Um."
"Did something traumatic happen in the lower floors?"
"If you want to talk about the hard things, I'm always ready to listen."
"If you need quiet time, I'll step aside."
"Still, we have to treat you first."
Looking insane, self-harming in front of everyone.
But the person going crazy was me.
A female healer took off my coat, and in my confused state, I let it go without thinking.
"Wow."
"Our outsides and insides are completely different?"
"You're too hot."
"Did you put it on to show off? Then why were you so wrapped up?"
Now that I thought about it, my outfit was mesh see-through and hot pants shorter than my palm.
I had never intended to show anyone, but I showed off in a daze.
In the midst of it, James kept glancing at my body, so I snapped.
It wasn't your body I was showing.
"What are you staring at, you pervert?! Did you see? I'll gouge out your eyeballs."
"Whether I want to show or hide it, I'm confused. If you want to hide, wear this."
James handed me a white robe that looked like a nun's habit.
It was oversized, like a child wearing an upside-down tablecloth, but it accentuated my body lines even more.
Once I covered my body, I calmed down a bit.
'He made seven girlfriends while pretending to be so sweet. What a bastard.'
"Was the action just now related to the curse?"
"Yes."
"We should hurry to the 70th floor."
"That's why you were rushing."
"Good. I'll give up resting too. Let's go."
"You said you're very tired. Not that, we can just attach a new guide with good condition."
"No, I feel relieved only if I bring you myself."
"Whatever."
"From the 61st floor, it's the Deep Sea zone. We can't survive without equipment."
"The Celestial Realm from 51 to 60, and the Deep Sea from 61 to 70."
Why is there a Deep Sea on top of the Celestial Realm?
No matter how it's a tower, it should have some logic, right?
Each floor being too separate a world made it hard to say that.
"Let's go without equipment. With my body, I should be able to endure."
Why do we need equipment? Because the magic pressure gets stronger the deeper we go from the 61st to the 70th floor.
I thought I could do it without equipment.
"Yes. Let's go."
Entering the 61st floor with James, it felt completely normal.
It said that even a B-rank awakened hunter would die instantly from the water pressure on the 61st floor.
Just feeling like being in water normally?
And I could even breathe.
"What is your actual rank?"
"With this, isn't it around J-rank?"
"J? What kind of alphabet is that. There is no such rank."
"It's a rare alphabet."
The water in the tower's Deep Sea was water and magic at the same time.
Just like light being both particle and wave.
Anyone could freely move in the Z-axis space without needing flight skills as long as they could feel the magic power.
"This drops the value of my butt!"
"The Deep Sea is only ten floors deep here, and the butt is still useful. First, calm down."
While climbing the Deep Sea, they encountered countless huge monsters.
Come to think of it, old creations had many horror themes about the Deep Sea.
Now it's the universe, though.
Huge sea monsters that could swallow ten-story buildings whole with their open mouths.
Looking at the mouths of those monsters, the idea of going inside once crossed my mind.
"If it's such a huge monster, there must be a hidden piece inside for sure. Admit it?"
"No, so let's try to be eaten?"
"If you're scared, wait outside."
It seemed like a contradiction to rush to the 70th floor as fast as possible while wasting time searching for hidden pieces.
But among the hidden pieces people missed, there might be one that could lift the goddess's curse, so I had to search.
Entering the monster's stomach with James, there was indeed a hidden piece.
◈ Ancient hero Hou Yi's bow and arrows that shot down the sun.
◈ Additional damage to targets with sky and divine beast attributes.
"This item says it gives extra damage to sky and divine beings. Then there must be an artifact that exerts even greater effect on gods."
I raised the bow to escape the monster's stomach.
I strung an arrow on the bowstring and fired it toward the monster's stomach wall.
It wasn't a simple arrow.
I was clearly shooting an arrow, but when I came to my senses, a laser beam shot from the bow.
The enormous firepower pierced the monster's stomach wall and created a large hole.
"But the arrow is a bit wasteful! Can I refill the arrows with grand magic?"
"How do you shoot the bow so well?"
"Is this well shot?"
"To use a weapon with extremely high rank, you need skills that match it."
"Ahha."
I had integrated all human skills and had the wisdom of human civilization, the Me skill, so I didn't need to learn skills separately.
That meant I was a Weapon Master.
"I thank the sky for allowing me to dance with the sword to my heart's content."
"What are you talking about all of a sudden?"
"There is such a thing."
This time, I tore open the monster's belly with a sword and escaped.
'Honestly, the Gate probably doesn't have a way to lift my curse either. Then maybe I should head to the very top of the tower? Not at an intermediate floor, but higher.'
If I believed James's words, humanity's limit was the 71st floor, and no one could go above it.
But with my strength, I could probably break through that easily.
What would happen if I went even higher than that?
'I should at least practice signing, right?'
When I became the hunter who reached the highest floor, everyone would become my fans and ask for autographs.
Wouldn't it be better to make them now?
