Long-Term Stay
This was the first time I had stayed more than a week in this future world.
No matter how long a trip ran, I had always wrapped everything up within four days. This time, though, the circumstances were different.
I had to hold out for as long as possible. No exceptions.
"Looks like something finally blew up on the Ttukseom side. They poured over toward the university and started fighting…"
Yun Hosu was the first person in a long while I could actually trust. If Gang Haseong had never fallen, maybe he would have turned out something like this.
He passed along information with real diligence. More than that, he was sending his own people out to map the situation from the inside. Could I ask for better?
By the time we hit the one-week mark, I was checking in with the Yongmasan side once every three days.
I didn't have a radio of my own, so I had to go in person and hear it myself.
So what was I doing with the rest of my time, outside those periodic meetings? Catching up on everything I had put off.
"Come on! You can do it!"
We were moving house, and Seol-hwa was cheering me on from the side with everything she had.
I was loading her things onto the cart as fast as I could. The reason was simple: there was a house that could still run on solar power, and we were going there.
"Does it really have electricity?"
"Of course. Oppa already checked everything."
Both Soyeon and Seol-hwa could move in. That meant living a lot more comfortably than before.
Seol-hwa had agreed on the spot, and now we were in the middle of relocating.
"What about phones? They work, right? Right? Right?"
"Communications are all down, so probably not."
She kept nudging my elbow and waiting for a reaction, and the whole thing was ridiculously cute.
I hauled the cart toward the new house. Honestly, we didn't need the furniture, but Seol-hwa had insisted she felt uneasy in a completely different place, so I went along with it.
As her boyfriend, this much was the least I could do. I spent over four hours grunting and sweating, hauling a few pieces from her old place and setting them up just the way she wanted.
"The house is bigger than I thought."
"Nice, right?"
"But I'm still nervous… whenever Oppa's not next to me…"
Seol-hwa clutched the hem of my shirt and looked up at me with those pleading eyes.
How was I supposed to leave something that cute alone? I wiped the sweat running down my face and met her silent stare head-on.
"Haha… Oppa… you're such a pervert."
I dragged her straight into the bathroom.
The bathroom in the new place was even bigger than Seol-hwa's old one. The water bottles I had brought and the camping showerhead poured down in a cool rush, and I poured my desire into the girl just as freely.
This time I skipped the foreplay and went straight for penetration.
"Ahh! Wait…! Oppa…!"
An affectionate voice rang in my ear. Seol-hwa's nasal moans slipped out, and I answered them in kind.
"It hurts… gently…"
"No. You take it the way Oppa wants."
"That's… really… ngh! Hah! That's… forcing it…!"
Going in without any warm-up made her hurt more than last time, but I didn't care.
If I wanted it, she complied. She had no rights in the matter.
"Ahn! Ngh! Ugh…! Mm!"
Her moans spilled out in broken bursts of pain while I worked my hips hard and fast. The line of her back, the strained look on her face, the way her voice climbed higher and higher—all of it fed my pleasure.
Hers? She would feel it eventually. A little slower than usual, maybe, but taking all of this was what made her my girlfriend.
"You… hah! …bastard."
Seol-hwa muttered it under her breath. Haha. That old reaction again—it had been a while.
After more than ten minutes of driving into her, she finally started to ease into it. Her eyes narrowed as she glanced back at me.
Silent complaint. I sealed her mouth and kissed her hard.
"Mmh! Mm…! Ah…"
Hot breath passed between our mouths, and our tongues moved without thinking.
Inside her, too, my movements grew smoother.
"Mm?"
Then something shifted against my tongue. Until now Seol-hwa had only answered passively—but for the first time, her tongue pushed into my mouth on its own.
Looking into her slightly unfocused eyes, I felt my lust recharge all over again.
This girl was learning how to respond.
Just as a spark of life returned to her dazed gaze, the tongue that had come for me moved again.
When we broke the kiss and pulled our faces apart, a long thread of saliva stretched between us.
Seol-hwa ducked her head in embarrassment and the strand snapped—but the thread of my desire was still stuck fast.
I rolled my hips again and drove into her, and before I knew it she had locked her arms around my neck and clung to me.
The signal that she was close. She probably didn't even realize it herself. Every time orgasm hit, she latched on by pure instinct.
"Euhah! Aah! Haaang!"
Her moans had completely changed. I kept pouring lust into a body that was climaxing in earnest.
Ordinarily my showers ran about fifteen minutes. Here, though, I could spend an hour or two and only then come out.
Even so, once we were finished I washed the exhausted Seol-hwa from head to toe myself.
Soap suds over every inch of her. The soft rise between her breasts, the sensitive spot low on her belly that had already gone hard again—all of it stirred me, but at that point it was better for both of us if I finished quickly.
"Good work."
I murmured it against her ear and laid her down on the sofa.
"Just match yourself to this oppa. Do it the way I want."
"…"
Still catching her breath, Seol-hwa gave a small nod, her face flushed.
A little force. With a beginner like Seol-hwa, that was the best approach.
I couldn't know what was going on in her head, but experience had taught me that girls like her fell into line if you trained them by pushing hard. Soyeon was the opposite—even when you pressed her, she made her feelings clear. The gap between a beginner and someone with experience was that obvious.
"Idiot! Seriously…"
Of course, she still made a point of kicking me in the side with her foot to show she wasn't happy about it.
After a pleasant stretch of time with Seol-hwa, the next morning I finished things off with a simple deepthroat. Today was an information day at Yongmasan.
I released cleanly into her mouth, then stroked her hair.
"Oppa's heading out. Not sure if I'll end up in another fight today."
"Mm? Mmh? Mm?"
Seol-hwa couldn't get a word out around the semen in her mouth and looked thoroughly flustered.
"Don't worry. I'll be back."
"Mph! Mmmh!"
She was trying to say something, but I gave her a proper goodbye and left the house anyway.
Today was a regular visit to the Yongmasan side.
Trustworthy contact or not, I never dropped my guard. Better safe than sorry.
I towed the electric bike toward Yongmasan with An Suhyeon and one other riding in the cart.
They were coming along as backup and human shields.
"So you've already worked things out with the Yongmasan people?"
"Nothing should go wrong, but this is just in case."
Guns were a problem, and if they hit me from several directions at once I wouldn't have many options. Having even these two around meant I could push back—that was what mattered.
We climbed Yongmasan with Gim Daejin taking point.
"There's a line here."
Gim Daejin moved ahead, reading the surroundings with care.
The traps they had set, and the rest. I had walked into one myself last time, and he was spotting them cleanly.
"Hey, don't get cocky. Watch yourself. This is enemy ground."
An Suhyeon tossed the warning from behind. So he was finally learning how to handle the kids properly?
I watched with quiet satisfaction, and at last we met the other side waiting for us as arranged.
"Any new word?"
"There is. The people we sent last time reported in over the radio."
Yun Hosu studied the two I had brought with me carefully.
"You two, fall back. I'll hear this myself."
I stepped aside with Yun Hosu and we talked alone.
"Children's Grand Park opened up a new route?"
"Yes. From what came back, they've been ranging outside their current territory hunting zombies and scored a major haul on the food side. The trade-off is they're down to fewer than ten rounds of ammunition."
"Ten rounds?"
Not ten rifles—ten rounds. Enough for one assault rifle to burn through in a heartbeat.
That was a good sign too.
"The group that went to support the university side is in a lull for now, but the share of close-quarters fighting has gone up instead of rifle work."
"They're saving bullets, then."
Flip it around and it was proof of how scarce the rounds had become.
If they still had room to spare, they would be dumping fire to win. A gun was an absolute weapon in the current situation—and they weren't using them.
Hold out a little longer and both sides would run dry. Then the absolute advantage would be mine. As if Grand Park or the university wouldn't have a single woman worth taking.
"Ah—and do you know how they run their sentries and the rest?"
"Not yet. We've only gotten as far as a basic read on the situation."
"Good."
I handed over the payment for the information on the spot. Give it a little more time and both factions would tear each other completely apart.
"Thank you."
They hauled the food away in high spirits, and our side turned back the way we had come.
I lingered a moment over the radio set they kept at their base.
"You get a signal on this frequency? I can't even pick up a radio."
"…Satellite comms work. We just don't have the power to use them."
"Seriously?"
My head went sideways. Satellite communications worked? Then why didn't GPS?
"Does GPS work?"
"We can't run it for lack of power, but Konkuk University or Ttukseom should have the gear. Why do you ask?"
A wrongness filled my skull.
It didn't add up. If satellite comms were live, GPS ought to work too. Or was it that the ground stations were wrecked, and only the military gear still functioned?
The drones I had brought were one thing—but my phone's GPS was clearly dead.
What was this disconnect?
"Is something off?"
"No. Anyway… got it. I'll be back in three days."
I headed down for now, but the claim that GPS worked stayed stuck in my mind.
Until now I had been moving alone, and since it never worked I had taken that as the baseline.
But it did work?
Even loading them back into the cart, my head was a mess. How was I supposed to check this?
My own phone still showed communications completely dead. GPS right along with them.
But they said it worked? Were they lying to me? While every kind of confusion piled up, Gim Daejin stepped in front of me.
"What?"
"Um… well… we could use a little more food."
"Ah… right, it's been over ten days."
Come to think of it, this side needed another supply drop too. Compared to my girls, who were only one person each, they had five times as many mouths.
I was nodding when An Suhyeon cut in.
"No, we're fine for now. Please don't put too much strain on the food."
"It's not really a problem."
"No! You're already trading food for information, aren't you? We're all right for the moment, so please—later."
If An Suhyeon put it that way… he was looking out for my interests.
Still, the way he glared at Gim Daejin in that moment felt ominous.
Surely they weren't fighting among themselves? The last thing I needed was a stabilized rear stabbing me in the back.
But it didn't look like a big enough problem for me to step in and manage it openly right now.
I dropped them off and headed for the house of the candidate I was about to put through training.
"Your master is here."
The moment Woohee saw me, her face went blank with shock.
"No greeting? Still that full of yourself."
Woohee's gaze was shaking hard.
"Again… there?"
"Yeah. You're centered on that side. Once you're more used to it, you'll be the one clinging. It felt good last time too, didn't it?"
"…"
Woohee kept her head bowed low.
In a situation like this, sex really was the perfect way to kill time.
I would burn as much of it as I could. The real fight came when their weapons finally ran dry.
I took Woohee by the arm and pulled her straight into the bathroom.
