Secret Summer Vacation - 2
Who will manage the state affairs while Your Majesty steps away…
“You will,” Beatrix said, her eyes narrowing sharply.
Charlotte swallowed hard.
A vacation, not a tour. Just a few days without the king.
It was the king.
Though riots or a sky reversal were unlikely in a few days, the empty throne would bring unease.
And since Albert would be with her, the worry only grew heavier.
Charlotte swallowed again and spoke carefully, “But Your Majesty… there are matters that require Your Majesty’s approval….”
“You can handle them, considering my nature. If not, postpone them.”
Postpone the matters?
Beatrix herself?
Charlotte’s eyes widened in disbelief at the impossible command.
“Truly?”
“Why? You doubt me?”
“Honestly, I didn’t expect Your Majesty to say such a thing.”
“Plans can change.”
Still, Beatrix stopped talking and relaxed her narrowed eyes.
“It’s already decided. Stop arguing.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
In the end, Charlotte gave up and lowered her head.
Since Beatrix’s will was firm, there was no way to object.
Yet…
“When I return, you and Mia will also take a vacation. About three weeks.”
As soon as she heard the words “vacation,” Charlotte’s eyes sparkled as if questioning when that had ever happened.
“Truly?”
Her voice trembled with disbelief.
Vacation.
The word she had never heard in her life was unfamiliar and sent her heart racing.
She had been employed for years and received holidays, but never a vacation.
In her memory flashed days of living like a foolish soldier who knew only work.
Three weeks would pass, and it would all end, yet the thought was unbearably sweet.
“If we step away….”
“I will fill the gap. And from now on, I will take a long vacation every year. Just keep a simple summary of what happened.”
Furthermore, the queen herself would handle any unforeseen issues.
Refusing this would be madness.
Even promising vacations every year.
“I will follow Your Majesty’s will.”
Charlotte replied with a voice full of excitement.
Beatrix let out a short sigh, as if finding it unbelievable.
“I will leave tomorrow. Remember that.”
“Yes. But what about the escort…?”
“No need. We will prepare everything over there.”
A guardian as reliable as the king protecting the king?
So the mention of escorting was not a lie.
“Understood. I will leave now… but may I be excused?”
“Hm. Go.”
p>The answer was vague, yet there was no reason to dig deeper.
Charlotte gave up and headed for the door, knowing it was wiser to accept Beatrix’s “fine” without question.
Amazing.
Was it because she was leaving tomorrow?
Beatrix felt a strange thrill.
She had not been confined to the palace her entire life, but this was the first time she had stepped far away for pure leisure.
p>Teleportation would make the journey less thrilling, yet it would be far more convenient and fast.
She didn’t want to waste time dwelling on the excitement of the journey itself.
Beatrix gathered a few simple guidelines on paper and stood up from her seat.
It was a kind of directive: if any ambiguous matters arose, judge them based on this.
She held the paper and left the study.
Perhaps because so many had already taken leave, the palace corridors were quieter than usual.
“Deliver this to Charlotte.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
As Beatrix extended the paper, the attending maid received it carefully with both hands.
The maids did as maids do.
Beatrix walked with her own brisk steps.
While only the higher-ups would receive long vacations, the lower ranks would still feel uneasy, but giving them the same vacation reduced that resentment even more.
And since it was the first long vacation issued, many were overjoyed.
Especially since it was their first time leaving the palace for a mere rest.
“Your Majesty, everything is prepared.”
As Beatrix’s hand gripped the doorknob, one of the maids in the room approached.
Originally, Albert had planned to pack himself, but the maids had strongly opposed it, saying it was not befitting.
The result was several luggage bags lined up neatly in the room, along with the maids themselves.
Albert had been absent from the room for a moment.
“You’ve worked hard.”
“Yes, Your Majesty. But may I ask if it is truly fine to take no one to serve you?”
These maids knew only that the king and queen were taking a short vacation, not that they were heading west.
They assumed they were simply going as a couple.
“Hm. It’s bothersome, and the mana cost would only be higher. Annoying.”
Beatrix spoke decisively and stepped into the room.
Five or so maids lined up and bowed their heads hastily.
After all, domestic management was a man’s duty.
Suddenly, Albert’s casual reply echoed in her ears.
She had uttered it herself but felt a strange sense of self-loathing…
Beatrix could not possibly have known that.
Thud.
Beatrix sat on the edge of the bed and scanned the maids with bowed heads.
“You all went on a nice vacation. You haven’t gone yet, have you?”
“Yes, Your Majesty. Forgive our insolence.”
The head maid spoke on behalf of everyone, and the maids followed with solemn voices.
“Go.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
As the head maid led the maids out, Beatrix felt a strange emptiness in the room.
It was natural with so many people suddenly gone.
Beatrix’s gaze turned to the row of luggage bags neatly placed in the corner.
Inside were clothes for changing and even emergency rations wrapped neatly in several layers of paper.
Most matters would be handled by Beatrix and Albert together, but just in case.
Beatrix slowly lay back on the bed and gazed at the ceiling.
The blue dress clung to her curvaceous body, wrinkling with each movement.
Because her hips and breasts were so full, the dress seemed to scream.
Six days.
Though short, it was a long time—how many times would she do it, and in what way?
Beatrix’s eyes sparkled intensely.
*
And on the travel day.
When Albert lifted the luggage bag, Beatrix shook her head.
“How can a man carry something this heavy?”
“Even if it’s just Beatrix lifting it….”
“It’s fine. Don’t worry. From a broad view, this is protecting the man.”
If it were small items, it would be different.
Beatrix lifted four bags at once—two in each hand—without any hesitation, despite their weight.
Albert followed her with an expression of deep remorse as they crossed into the spatial void.
Passing the first floor of the Tower of Reconciliation, they leaped once more.
As they landed, the salty sea breeze and moist wind brushed their skin.
Seeing the white sand beach and crystal-clear blue sea spread before them, Albert’s eyes widened.
Building a resort here would bring enormous wealth.
Of course, the environment would suffer, but…
Still, it’s best not to let human hands touch it too much.
Albert gained a new realization and grew serious.
Beatrix quietly approached and smiled.
“Our sea is no different. Let’s go together next time.”
“Ah…! Yes. Of course.”
Only then did he snap out of it and smiled while shaking his head.
Glancing around, Albert spotted a white house far away.
From roof to walls, it was entirely white, as if carved from snow.
It was also quite large.
“That’s Kristia’s villa. You’ve heard of it, right?”
“Yes. Seeing it in person is truly magnificent.”
The villa was full of splendor and charm.
Albert’s eyes sparkled with anticipation.
“Let’s go. Everything needed is ready. Everything from washing to eating.”
Thud thud.
Beatrix stepped onto the beach, and Albert walked beside her.
“You all must have worked hard?”
“As if I would let the lower ranks do it. Hard work?”
Preparing meant simply placing things appropriately and storing them in the item warehouse so they wouldn’t spoil.
Beatrix considered it no big deal and walked briskly.
The atmosphere felt awkward, yet there was still a floating, unreal quality.
Romantic and impossible at once.
As they neared the villa, someone on the wooden balcony waved.
A woman in a black jacket and pants, not a dress.
Kristia?
Albert momentarily thought she was waving at him but soon realized it was a mistake.
The crisp golden hair fluttering in the sea breeze had caught his eye.
“Welcome. You’re the second ones.”
“Yes. Hello?”
As they reached the balcony, slightly taller than them, Wilhelmina smiled lightly and greeted them.
Beatrix nodded silently and ascended the stairs.
Albert followed with a warm greeting.
“The rest?”
Beatrix asked just as she stepped onto the balcony.
Wilhelmina answered calmly, as expected.
“They’re coming soon. They had a few things to finish this morning and left briefly.”
“In the morning? You came here from then?”
“Without servants, we had to stay together. Like camping, we’ve been busy.”
The luggage is in the living room.
Wilhelmina’s finger pointed to the glass balcony door.
It was a sliding door, not a hinged one.
“Isn’t the security too lax?”
Beatrix commented, and Wilhelmina shrugged.
“We’re the guards. What’s the problem? With four kings, it’s safer than anywhere else.”
“…That’s true.”
Since it was a fact, Beatrix simply agreed.
“Come in. Rest first.”
As Albert passed, Wilhelmina whispered with a smile, “She’s looking forward to it too.”
Both she and Beatrix.
They twisted their lips in anticipation of the coming time.
Albert turned his head slightly and nodded.
A faint curve appeared at the corner of his mouth.
“Hngh…!”
Wilhelmina remained alone on the balcony and stretched her arms widely.
Originally, she had planned to help with the luggage and score points.
But Beatrix had blocked it beforehand, so she couldn’t.
Even burdensome luggage sorting became “time for just the two of us.”
Her possessive instinct caused a sigh, but she could not stop it.
If the wife said so, what could the concubines do?
Here they come.
Wilhelmina smiled as she saw the two women stepping through the spatial void.
Kristia and Maria.
Both women carried a faint irritation in their expressions.
As the two landed on the balcony after flying over the sand, Wilhelmina lowered her arms and asked, “How was it? Did it go well?”
“Hm.”
“Yes. How fortunate.”
I worked hard too, but you two worked hard as well.
Wilhelmina felt sympathy for them and shook her head side to side.
“What was the issue?”
“They kept pretending to be uneasy until the end and tried to push policies favorable to him. I understand the pretense, but they subtly tried to pass advantageous policies. They took advantage of my distracted state.”
“Oh? So?”
“I made a tiny red bite mark on her arm and burst it. Only then did she start to apologize while trembling.”
“Good.”
Maria answered first.
Kristia had intended to answer simply after her.
Compared to Maria, it was nothing.
“She didn’t die, did she?”
“Yes. That wouldn’t kill a man.”
“What about the unknown girl? She’ll rest for a while. What about you?”
As Wilhelmina’s gaze turned to her, Kristia’s lips parted as if she had been waiting.
“I didn’t do much. Checked the weapon storage seal and handled a few minor tasks.”
“Not much at all? Then, let’s change clothes first. The two are sorting luggage in the room.”
Since I couldn’t score points with them, I’ll catch them with looks instead.
Wilhelmina pushed open the balcony door, and the two women removed their shoes as if waiting.
As expected of the king’s villa, the rooms were spacious, clean, and spotless.
The periodic purification magic circles kept it cleaner than the palace itself.
They all entered the same room, stripped off their clothes without hesitation, and let the dresses and pants fall to the floor.
The room had several wardrobes and a large full-length mirror, making changing easy.
It was convenient to try on clothes and check the mirror.
They all stood before the mirror in outfits that fully exposed their hips and breasts.
Even with slender bodies, they perfectly wore the clothing.
“Wow….”
“It feels different when wearing it.”
“Truly… like a horny bitch in heat.”
Each one spoke while looking in the mirror.
Perhaps because the hangers were different.
Even the same outfit felt strangely different.
They all blushed and turned their bodies in front of the mirror, checking for any flaws.
They grew self-conscious when their feminine bodies were emphasized.
But only for a moment.
After cooling their flushed cheeks, they headed straight to the living room.
They hadn’t forgotten the magical protection against wet clothes.
In their minds, only thoughts of sex filled the space, but they would enjoy it according to plan for now.
