Mom's Lover (Part 2)
Days later, Seonhwa returned. While the class ended and we waited at the promised spot, Seonhwa pulled up in her car to pick me up.
Once I slid into the passenger seat, her face looked a bit more gaunt than before, but there was still a certain relief in her eyes.
“How’ve you been these past few days?”
“.. Pretty good. You’ve lost some weight.”
“But your chest and hips are exactly the same, only your face has thinned out. Come check later.”
Even with that tired expression, Seonhwa tossed out that joke and planted a light kiss on my lips.
“Thank you, Mr. Kim. Thanks to you, deciding was so easy.”
“What do you mean?”
“I completely ended things with Minji’s dad. It wasn’t really hard, so don’t worry. If I make up my mind, I can cut it off anytime.”
That was all she said. No more words followed. Without exchanging anything between us, we headed straight back to the hotel. Deciding we were finally going to pour out the longing we’d built up from not seeing each other, the second we stepped into the room we crashed into each other with raw, hungry kisses, devouring every inch of each other’s bodies.
Seonhwa wrapped her arms around my neck especially tight and panted heavily. It seemed she’d finally shed most of the mental weight that had been crushing her all this time; her originally bold style had only grown more daring. After peeling off my clothes down to the absolute minimum she needed, she immediately went to work, sucking and licking with intense roughness.
As her head moved and her tongue danced wildly across me, she was clearly accepting me as her man completely. The system didn’t trigger this time, but the sincerity in her actions felt overwhelming.
Now it felt like she was shouting that this wasn’t about revenge anymore, that it wasn’t an improper relationship. I matched her heart by being just as rough with hers, thrusting deep, pounding her ass, and finally filling her up until it overflowed in every hole.
Hours later, collapsed and spent, we lay tangled together in bed, still joined at the hips.
“Haa.. haa..”
“Hee.. heee..”
Seonhwa’s face was dazed as tears kept streaming down. Whether those were tears of release that slipped out again and again when she reached climax, or the ones that had been building from all the suffering, I couldn’t tell. Still, I kept gripping her chest from behind and drove in harder.
“O-Ohh..!! Aagh..!!”
Seonhwa buried her face in the pillow and let out muffled whimpers. After hours alone together, I no longer had the strength to move much at all.
Slowly, thickly. I moved to fill the emptiness in her heart.
Only after she finally passed out did our bodies finally give out.
Once I wiped down Seonhwa’s body and tucked her under the blanket, I spent the time until she woke up scrolling through my phone. It was a long while before she stirred, rubbing her eyes and stretching.
“Mmm…”
“You’re awake?”
“.. Did you wash me?”
Seonhwa looked at me with fresh emotion in her eyes. I grinned and kissed her forehead.
“What? Don’t like it?”
“Who said they didn’t? It’s not like that, so stop worrying.”
With her signature sulky tone, she pulled me into a hug. For a moment I savored the heavy weight of her breasts pressing against my body before she spoke again.
“Thank you.”
“How’s Minji?”
“I already knew everything. I figured keeping it secret was best, so I stayed quiet… Maybe she’s already fully accepted it better than I thought.”
“Hmm.. Minji will grow even more. A smart kid like her.”
“Really? You’re saying that right in front of the parents?”
“Parents again? You’re so free-spirited.”
With the awkward joke breaking the tension, Seonhwa smiled and continued.
“She heard it once when she was little. The dad of the kid… apparently he said he was going to tie Minji down by her ankle. So she just held it in and lived like that all these years.”
Seonhwa’s voice grew thick.
“I… I didn’t know a mother could be so ignorant…”
“…Oh no…”
Seonhwa burst into quiet sobs against my chest. I gently rubbed her shoulders and comforted her.
Looking back, my relationship with her had probably only accelerated her guilt. That’s why I never said a word. Seonhwa couldn’t have known, yet she still came looking for me anyway, as if answering my unspoken question.
Time passed again. After Seonhwa freshened up, she spoke.
“Anyway, it’s fine now. For both of us.”
“I’ll focus better from now on. You did great.”
Seonhwa smiled, then dropped the next line like a bomb.
“Oh, and I told Minji. That I like you.”
“…What?”
My head went blank.
[Se-hyun’s head spun.]
Meanwhile, at the same time.
Sua and Yerin were happily slicing into a luxurious steak at the family dining table, continuing their meal in warm conversation.
Today, for some reason, Sua pulled out a glass of wine and sipped it. The alcohol had flushed her cheeks a pleasant red.
She spoke in a good mood.
“How’s your studying these days, our daughter?”
“Yes! The teacher is such a great instructor… I’m doing really well. My grades have actually risen a lot?”
Twenty-year-old Yerin’s heart raced whenever she thought of Se-hyun. A handsome face, always kind and gentle to her—falling for him was only natural. Yet Yerin had never hidden those feelings.
She knew her mother was the one who mattered most. That was why she was content to stay just a secret crush on her private tutor. That would be more than enough for Mom to forgive.
She never wanted more. Mom had sacrificed everything for her sake. Mom deserved to be happy. After giving up her youth to raise her, blooming so beautifully without even dating, what right did Yerin have to be angry that her love interest was now loved by her own mother? No, it was actually a blessing.
From what she’d seen, Se-hyun really seemed like the perfect person. Sure, it still bothered her that he was a student, but Mom could easily overlook that. There was really only one problem—her own body—but she was sure Mom could figure it out if she ever did. So Yerin was simply happy. Truly, everything was perfect.
“Really? Thanks to the teacher, our Yerin’s been having a great time lately.”
The ease in Mom’s smile, the lack of worry about her grades—all of it was thanks to the teacher. That was why Yerin liked him. That was why she was grateful.
At that moment, Sua set her wine glass down and spoke carefully.
“Yerin-ah.”
“Hm?”
“Mom has something important to tell you.”
The instant her chest felt like it dropped, Yerin knew.
“Eh…?”
Her intuition screamed the truth. Whatever Mom was about to say was about the teacher.
She was asking if the words she’d repeated to herself— that she was fine, that she was happy—were really true.
“Mom… about Se-hyun-nim…”
The name hit, and Yerin’s heart began pounding wildly. Strange. She’d told herself over and over that she was fine, that it was right, that Mom had every right. Yet her chest felt tight in a way she couldn’t explain.
“Strange…”
It should be fine. It should be fine. It had to be fine.
Still, it wasn’t. Yerin had never felt so lost about her own heart before.
“Strange… strange… strange…”
She hoped Mom would stop talking, that she wouldn’t bring it up again, that she would confirm once and for all that she was fine and it was okay.
Yet Mom’s words shattered every hope.
“To be honest, we’re seeing each other.”
“Ah…”
Her hands trembled. Her stomach twisted. This wasn’t right. She should be happy. She should be overjoyed that her mother’s lover was such a wonderful man. Instead, sadness came first, and she couldn’t understand it. She didn’t want to understand it. Yerin forced a smile.
“That’s good…! The teacher is really nice. Did Mom think so too?”
“Yes, kind, gentle… There’s an age gap, but the teacher confessed first.”
“Hee.. I see… Young as he is, Mom let him in anyway?”
“Hahaha.. Yes, that’s why I was worried… but the teacher is really sincere. So I decided to open my heart.”
“I see.. Yes, that’s good. Congratulations! Mom. You couldn’t date because of me, but now you can be happy!”
Yerin laughed through it all, trying to sound cheerful.
“Young people’s dates these days—I’ll tell you where to go! I learned from my friends!”
