The Slam
At first, it was clearly a neck-and-neck fight.
No, it actually looked as if Yu Nabi was being pushed back.
In fact, as the skirmishes between the two repeated, Yu Nabi's health bar depleted much faster.
"As expected, Brutal is holding a relative advantage."
"It's true that the Berserker is an incredibly powerful class, and it's also true that Nabi is an exceptionally skilled player in terms of raw combat power."
"However, Brutal's Druid is receiving far more support right now."
"Even if they trade evenly, Brutal is bound to come out ahead. It's a matter of where each team is allocating their resources."
"In that sense, Nabi doesn't need to force a life-or-death struggle here. It would be much more logical for her to avoid dying while successfully drawing the opponent in."
The commentators didn't view the situation as particularly unfavorable either.
It was just a natural flow. As long as this disadvantage didn't lead to a worst-case scenario, it was fine.
While the battle between the giant wolf and the Berserker was visually spectacular, they didn't expect a quick conclusion.
For that reason, the coaching staff of Wild Spirits didn't look entirely pleased either.
This wasn't enough. They needed to push her harder.
Ideally, they wanted to force Yu Nabi out of the battle entirely.
Just as ordered, the supporters were pouring resources into Brutal's wolf form.
It was difficult to pinpoint the exact locations of allies or enemies amidst the raging flames.
Normally, this would make ranged support nearly impossible, but when your ally was a giant wolf several meters tall, it was a different story.
Every time the massive beast leaped, healing spells and various buffs rained down upon it.
A battlefield isolated within the flames.
Inside a prison without bars, the wolf tore at the warrior.
Everyone watching the match couldn't help but picture a warrior struggling to survive before a ferocious beast.
The screen cut away, leaving the final image of the scarred girl's back.
"SnowWitch is maintaining a good flow in the main group."
"Right now, Indure isn't playing a particularly tanky build."
"If a full-scale clash broke out between the main forces, their raw power wouldn't actually be that strong."
"However, Wild Spirits is actively avoiding direct engagement and pouring resources elsewhere, allowing them to keep up a one-sided assault."
"And that creates a virtuous cycle. SnowWitch doesn't just have Nabi as a bruiser; they also have Finder's Fighter."
"The frontlines are probably collapsing faster than expected. If the main force can't hold out, they'll likely have to go all-in on Brutal."
Infinity Realm was a team game.
When one side took on a disadvantage, the scales tipped, giving the other side an advantage elsewhere.
Since there was already a gap in overall strength between the two teams, this effect was even more pronounced.
The broadcast screen showed the psychological warfare between the main forces of both teams.
SnowWitch's ranged dealer, the Divine Archer, rained down arrows unilaterally.
Meanwhile, the Fighter engaged in skirmishes, constantly looking for an opening to dive in.
Every time the battlefield's flames flared and receded, SnowWitch's momentum grew stronger.
Before long, Wild Spirits was running out of options.
They were being pushed back too hard in the main fight. Their only hope now was to secure a victory on the other front.
The only solution left was for the wolf to tear the Berserker apart, return to the main group, and turn the tide of the battle.
However, the situation was developing strangely.
Yu Nabi's health, which had seemed to be plummeting, stabilized around the 40% mark.
Instead, it was Brutal's health that was draining faster, increasing his team's demand for healing spells.
"In this case, the battle between Nabi and Brutal becomes crucial once again."
"The Berserker's health has been holding up remarkably well for a while now."
"Uh... well."
"That counter just now was absolutely brilliant! She dodged the attack by a hair's breadth and landed a clean hit with her axe!"
"Wow, her movements are incredibly clean. The Berserker isn't exactly a nimble class, but because her execution is so precise, she isn't losing out on speed at all!"
By now, the wolf's tail swipes didn't work at all.
Whether she blocked it first with a kick or evaded it with a light step, she shut it down completely.
Brutal was pushed to the point where he couldn't even visualize landing a hit.
His other means of attack were no better.
A large attack range ultimately meant larger, more telegraphed movements.
To Yu Nabi, those large movements felt like they were happening in slow motion, giving her plenty of time to react.
If Brutal didn't put enough weight behind his strikes, he would be easily overpowered.
Yet, if he did commit his full strength, his attacks were completely read and countered.
Trapped in this dilemma, the beast-type class couldn't create any variables.
They lacked major active skills.
It was impossible for him to generate a game-changing play.
Furthermore, Yu Nabi had no reason to hold back or play defensively before launching her counterattack.
The result was nothing short of disastrous.
◈ Only applies when dealing direct damage with a primary weapon. Inflicting Bleed on an enemy restores 7% of missing health over 5 seconds.
◈ Additional Effect: While Festival of Blood is active, life steal effects from Frenzy and Blood Covenant are increased by 2.5% each.
◈ Target: SnowWitch Nabi (Berserker)
Restoring health through the effects of Festival of Blood.
It was a brutally unfair war of attrition!
This was because the damage exchange had become completely asymmetrical.
The damage dealt was minuscule, while the damage received was massive.
At this point, it was difficult to even keep up with Yu Nabi's life steal.
Instead of pressuring Yu Nabi by spending resources, they were pouring resources into a bottomless pit because of her.
For the audience, the visual shock was the greatest of all.
A tiny girl was unilaterally brutalizing a giant wolf.
When the wolf, unable to endure it, leaped into the air, she simply threw her axe and embedded it in its flesh.
She even leaped off the trees to pursue it.
Leaping into the air was a free action.
Once airborne, it was impossible to change direction or land early.
The wolf could not shake off Yu Nabi, who caught up a split second later.
Her tiny hand grabbed the wolf's leg.
Perhaps she gripped too hard, as she only managed to yank out a fistful of fur on her first attempt.
Her second attempt missed, but on the third, she caught the tip of its tail, trapping the wolf's massive body in her grasp.
Just like that, Yu Nabi captured the attention of everyone watching the match.
"A slam! Yu Nabi is slamming the wolf-form Druid!"
"Wow, hahaha! In all my years behind the commentator's mic, I've never seen anything like this!"
"Because of its size, it flew incredibly high. The sky was briefly blocked out when it flipped over."
"Beast-type classes are rare, and that level of strength is just as rare. When will we ever see a sight like this again?"
"Indeed. And now, the match is practically over."
The most unfavorable front.
In a fight where merely holding out would have been a victory, she had achieved a crushing win.
You couldn't win every battle and still lose the game.
At this point, it was just a matter of cleaning up a match that was already decided.
On the other side, Indure broke through the enemy lines, pushing their main force to the brink of annihilation.
Thanks to that, the observer could comfortably broadcast Yu Nabi's execution of the wolf.
Slammed into the ground, the wolf struggled to roll over.
Of course, that was merely its intention.
Yu Nabi had no reason to grant it that freedom.
Her fists slammed into the wolf's belly.
Once. Twice. Thrice. As its head lifted slightly, she threw her remaining axe straight at the space between its eyes.
Though it missed her exact target, it struck one of its eyes.
It didn't take long to secure the kill.
Yu Nabi didn't even allow it a final, desperate struggle.
Instead, she leaped high into the air and stomped down on the wolf's head.
With a sound like shattering rock, the enemy fell silent.
SnowWitch Nabi has defeated WS Brutal.
