Are You Awake, Tenryeon?
The screen flickered to life as my consciousness returned. Wait, am I actually awake?

“—What the hell kind of game is this?”
“—Don’t tell me you brought another one of those brain-melting games like Streamer Lene usually does? lol;”
“—Isn’t this that one game—”
“—What one?”
“—You know, that one.”
“—Please, for the love of god, just bring normal games that don’t make my head hurt…”
“—Anyone who feels dizzy just from seeing the word Labyrinth better smash that like button lololol”
“Umm… I was looking for something to stream and this game popped up…”
How was I supposed to explain the 1/8192 Probability Labyrinth?
Things like reaction speed, judgment, or reasoning—any kind of ‘skill’—were completely meaningless here. There was only one thing this game demanded.
Luck.
When you launched the game, a labyrinth would appear. Inside it were two portals. Pick the correct one and move on, another labyrinth appears with two more portals. You had to choose the right one again. Do that thirteen times in a row and you cleared it. That was the 1/8192 Probability Labyrinth.
The correct portal out of the two was chosen completely at random. There wasn’t a single hint anywhere in the maze that told you which one was right. Nothing interfered. It was a game where you literally had to pick success or failure purely by luck.
“Today I’m planning to keep streaming until I clear this thing…”
The chat was flooded with people saying there was no way I could clear it, that I should just play for a bit and switch to something else. But I was determined to beat this game today no matter what.
Sure, saying 1 in 8192 sounded insanely difficult, but every single choice was ultimately a 50% chance, right? I just had to succeed thirteen times in a row. It was only that much. Why were the viewers making it sound so impossible?
Time to show them. That number was just inflated for drama. The actual substance was nothing special.
I pressed the start button. The screen went completely black, then slowly regained color. What appeared was a long, straight path. Both sides and the way behind were completely blocked off, as if the game refused to let me do anything but move forward.
“Then let’s begin…”
The moment I said it, I pressed W and started moving forward. The dark purple walls blocking both sides were wriggling and squirming. I had no idea what they were made of.
“As far as I know, there aren’t any gimmicks like that…”
It wouldn’t have been strange if something did pop out right now, but this game was ultimately about escaping the labyrinth with luck. The reviews said it had zero action or horror elements. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure if it was supposed to be gross. Back in the other world, there was a chimera created by heretics who worshipped animals, and that thing was easily a hundred times more disgusting than this. I still remembered the look of despair on its face when I smashed its head in one blow. It felt pretty satisfying.
While thinking about that, I kept moving forward until a fork finally appeared. At the entrance to the diverging path, two pure white portals greeted me.
“It’s time to make a choice…”
The chat had erupted into a heated debate. Everyone was shouting either left or right while giving their own reasons. But no matter what anyone said, it was still random. The probability was exactly fifty percent. In that case, the correct move was to ignore the chat’s opinion and trust my own instincts.
Still… since this was a stream…
“I’ll open a one-minute poll…”
I activated Liming’s voting feature and set the options to Left and Right. The numbers began climbing at an insane speed.
Right: 23 votes. Left: 19.
Right: 64. Left: 59.
Right: 88. Left: 91.
Right: 105. Left: 111.
Right: 133. Left: 129.
Right: 182. Left: 183.
Right: 257. Left: 231.
They kept trading the lead back and forth without either side pulling ahead. It was impossible to tell who would win until the very end.
After one minute, the poll closed.
Left: 721 votes (49.63%)
Right: 732 votes (50.37%)
Right wins by less than 1%!
“…I’m going left.”
“I said I would open the poll. I never said I would follow the winning choice…”
The poll was only to see what people would pick. Why were they yelling at me like this? And why were the moderators just letting these messages stay up? What were they even doing?
“Anyway, I’m going left…”
I moved my character into the left portal.
“…Ah.”
I was back at the very start of the labyrinth.
And just like that, the chat exploded into flames. Why did things always turn out like this…

It had been a little over an hour since I started this game.
And I still hadn’t escaped the first labyrinth.
“…”
What the hell was this game? The probability was fifty percent. I knew exactly how big a fifty percent chance was in games. And yet I still hadn’t gotten it right even once.
“…Maybe there’s a bug?”
It sounded pretty plausible, but a few viewers who were playing the game at the same time told me that wasn’t the case. In other words, my current situation was purely because my luck was absolute garbage.
I had planned to clear it within an hour and end the stream there. How did it end up like this…
On top of that, the same scene kept repeating over and over. The viewers who had been enjoying my failures at first were now clearly sick of it and begging me to play something else.
The problem was that I hadn’t prepared any backup games for today. So if I ended the stream here…
“Umm… Then everyone, how about we play for just thirty more minutes and then decide…?”
“Since everyone agreed, I’ll play for thirty more minutes…”
Thanks to the viewers’ generous permission, I received a thirty-minute grace period.
I arrived at yet another fork—I’d already lost count of how many there had been.
“This time… I’ll go right.”
I moved toward the right path.
And then.
