The World Isn't Fair
The moment they flowed in, if they got their ant fur shaken off by Lene, give it a like lol. There was an animation that was insanely popular in the past. It was about a virtual reality game just like New Dimension, with the setting that if you died in the game, your real self would die too—a death game. In that animation, after the protagonist defeats the final boss, the first part ends with him going to meet in reality the lover he started dating inside the game.
If the current me were to play that game… I wonder how far I could go? That question only lingered for a moment before a more fundamental doubt took root inside me. What exactly is the problem with dying in a death game?
People die eventually anyway. And most people don’t get to choose how. You might live out your natural lifespan and pass away peacefully in bed. Or, like my previous life, you could die from overwork. You could get caught in a sudden accident. Or waste away from illness. So isn’t it possible to die after getting dragged into a death game?
Of course, I’m not defending death games themselves. The person who created one is the worst mass murderer imaginable. What I’m saying is that there can be lives that end because they got caught up in a death game. In other words—lives where you have no idea when or how you’ll die. No matter what, you should always live earnestly, giving it your all. If there’s something you need to do, if there’s something you can do, you should do it right away.
Even the protagonist of that animation managed to date someone inside a death game where a single mistake could kill him. …The sociable normie died, though.
Anyway, the conclusion of my story is that if an opportunity comes, you have to seize it.

“U-uh….”
After ending the stream and checking the total donation amount I’d received today, my mind went completely blank. I couldn’t think of what to say. No, I forgot what words even were.
Seven hundred and ten thousand won.
It was far more than everything I’d ever earned from streaming before. And I made that in just one day…?
Had everything I’d done until now not even counted as streaming?
“Uuuuuuuu…!”
That negative feeling vanished in the blink of an eye. What came rushing in next was a sense of accomplishment and pure happiness. My whole body trembled with an electrifying thrill that made every cell feel alive. The pleasure was so intense I unconsciously stomped my feet. When I pinched my cheek and it hurt, I knew for certain this wasn’t a dream.
Today, I really earned seven hundred and ten thousand won…!
Of course, it was only possible because several special circumstances had overlapped. Still, the fact that I had earned money through my own effort and ability didn’t change.
…But obviously that didn’t mean everything was over here. Seven hundred and ten thousand won wasn’t enough to live on for the rest of my life. In other words, even if it wasn’t quite this much, I needed to find a way to steadily maintain a certain level of income going forward.
And since I already knew how to do that, I logged into the Lema Gallery and left a post.
I had expected it, but the reaction was much more intense than I thought. It was so extreme that I wondered if it really warranted setting themselves on fire like this. To be honest, just like the post that went up in the Lema Gallery earlier said, I put a one-week chat restriction on and even adjust the minimum donation amount however I want… Is there really a reason to watch my stream?
Well, of course I’m grateful, but… Honestly, if I get their hopes up this much and then the actual number of viewers doesn’t increase like it did during the last Tagirion raid, it would be way too sad. That’s why I chose the path of a one-month break. I wanted the people who gathered here to genuinely enjoy my streams… In other words, it could be seen as an unavoidable sacrifice.
But it seemed the Lene fans couldn’t understand that. I wish they would trust me just a little more. Anyway, I have no intention of canceling this break. For the sake of my stream. And for the sake of the Lene fans too.
