That Guy Was the Floating Troll All Along lol
The New Dimension Gallery was in complete chaos.
I scrolled down, still chuckling to myself. The next post was even better.
Pretty much every post was just more Elun Church hate. Funny how when the real nuclear controversy exploded, nobody posted a single thing lol.
The next thread made me spit out my drink.
(Recent 20 matches: 6 wins 14 losses.jpg)
(Total record: 155 matches, 52 wins, 103 losses.jpg)
At first glance the record looked pathetic. But the real kicker was somewhere else entirely. This guy lost to every other class… but he had a perfect win rate against Priests, Paladins, and even other Inquisitors. No way that was a coincidence.
The only weird part was that yesterday’s PVP match, he won against every class without exception. Hey Marariko, you’re not going far. Better start preparing those twenty burgers lol.
The replies kept pouring in. One post in particular caught my eye.
(StartingFromZero[Defeat] VS Heretic Inquisitor[Victory].jpg)
I went in to test a new build, but I’m not lying—this guy is just insanely good. I still watch the replay sometimes. I honestly still don’t understand how he moves like that. The second the match started I thought I had it in the bag from his early movement, but I got completely destroyed without even being able to breathe lol.
The very last post was the nail in the coffin.

If the high-rank “Marariko” who came in scared shitless thinking there might be some trick is reading this, give it a like lol.

[Heretic Inquisitor: I came to PK you.]
[Marariko: ????]
[Heretic Inquisitor: Aren’t you Marariko from the New Dimension Gallery?]
[Marariko: Yeah I am.]
[Heretic Inquisitor: You said if I was mad I should just PVP you, right?]
[Marariko: Wait, that was actually you?]
[Heretic Inquisitor: Yes.]
[Marariko: You’re not using a proxy or something?]
[Heretic Inquisitor: It’s really me? Want me to verify?]
[Marariko: Oh fuck.]
Marariko already knew exactly what kind of player the Heretic Inquisitor was. There was no way he couldn’t know. After all, he was a Priest user himself.
How many times had his head been smashed in every time they met in the field? How many times had he been forced to listen to that incomprehensible nonsense about “repenting” for being a heretic?
If this had been reality, Marariko’s skull would have been completely pulverized by now. And that was a memory he desperately wanted to forget. It was, quite frankly, traumatic.
He would abandon every quest he was doing and run straight into PVP just to escape. That was how bad it was.
And now that same Heretic Inquisitor had appeared before him once again.
‘Why the hell did this crazy concept-obsessed bastard suddenly show up…’
Marariko couldn’t understand it. He didn’t even want to understand it. Why should he bother trying to understand a lunatic who smashed the heads of anyone playing a church-related class and refused to speak even though it was a VR game where using a microphone was completely normal?
But there was no paradise for those who ran away.
There was nowhere left to run.
“Haa…”
Marariko let out a quiet sigh.
Yeah. There was no escaping this anyway. He just had to do it. And win.
When you thought about it, he was still a player who ranked in the top ten percent in PVP. He could definitely win this. Back then he hadn’t known anything about PVP or PK. It was only natural he couldn’t win. But things were different now.
Who was he? He was Marariko, a B-rank PVP player.
Am I going to lose? No. I’m going to win.
After taking one last deep breath and steeling his resolve, Marariko spoke to the Heretic Inquisitor.
[Marariko: Room title: New Dimension Gallery PK 11, 20 burger bet]
[Marariko: Single round, let’s do it.]
[Heretic Inquisitor: Sure.]
And with that, the curtain rose on the battle.

In New Dimension, you couldn’t spectate PVP matches—whether normal or ranked—in real time. But if the room was created with the spectator option enabled, people could watch.
⊳ Nickname: Marariko | Class: Priest | Level: 32 | PVP Level: 50 | B-rank
Nearly a hundred spectators had already poured into the room the arrogant heretic had told him about.
Wow, a lot of people showed up.
Since so many people were watching, he had to try even harder. He would prove that his path was right by smashing that heretic’s skull.
With his mind made up, he entered the room. A vast plain stretched out before him.
It was the kind of open field that self-proclaimed priests loved—the kind where the distance between players was huge at the start of a match. Basically proving that they really were heretics. On the other hand, there was the colosseum map where players started close together. That was the kind self-proclaimed paladins loved. What cowards.
“Ready?”
The man’s voice echoed from far away. I quietly nodded.
The message announcing the start of PVP appeared. Then with a sharp whoosh, my vision went dark for a moment. The system automatically adjusted the distance between me and that heretic.
Are You Ready?
A deep, resonant bell tolled across the great plain.
Fight!
A majestic trumpet blast loud enough to hurt my ears rang out, signaling the beginning of battle.
I moved forward, feeling the ground beneath my feet. The other guy slowly started backing away. Just as expected from a cowardly heretic.
No matter how free New Dimension was, and how little difference there was between classes, that didn’t mean there was zero difference. If that were the case, there would have been no point in dividing classes in the first place.
Each class received additional effects on certain skills, and every class had skills that were naturally more efficient. It was only natural that playstyles differed accordingly. And that was the same in PVP.
Among them, the self-proclaimed priests were a class that excelled at unilaterally tormenting enemies from a distance. That was exactly why they were heretics.
Hey. A priest isn’t just supposed to support allies on the battlefield. Sometimes you have to use blessings and charge forward. Especially in a one-on-one situation like this, only running away is proof that you lack faith in your own god.
Claiming to be a priest while not even knowing that? It’s ridiculous. You people really do need to repent with your skulls cracked open.
Scrape. Scrape.
Feeling the sensation of my warhammer dragging across the ground… I accelerated.
“What?!”
