Power & Sex, and... 99
After finishing his call with Eun-mi and lying back down, another phone rang.
"Honey, when are you coming down?"
"Huh?"
Ara had asked out of the blue when he was heading down.
"I got back from Gangwon-do today and I'm totally wiped."
"Huh? Didn't Jeong-ah say you're coming to Busan today or tomorrow, honey?"
He'd momentarily forgotten about the mobile bath vehicle donation ceremony with Lee Dong-yong. Jeong-ah had mentioned starting the donations in Busan next Monday, but it had slipped his mind. With the party convention in full swing, he'd even dispatched his schedule-checking secretary to the campaign headquarters and was handling everything solo—a side effect that was now biting him.
He wrapped up the call with Ara first, then rushed to prepare for Busan while dialing Jeong-ah.
"Everything coming along okay?"
"Yep. All prepped, so I headed out for some fun. Met unnie earlier."
"Got it. Press release go out to the media?"
"Gu Secretary handled all that. And Seo reporter messaged—he's coming down tomorrow."
"Alright. Good work. Catch you later."
He hung up, headed to Seoul Station, and boarded the KTX. By the time he pulled into Busan Station, it was nearing 10 p.m. Jeong-ah picked up and said she was huddled with the cafe operators in Gwangbok-dong, so he made his way there. He found them in a small coffee shop tucked in the alley next to the old Mihwa Party spot.
"You've all worked hard."
"Yes, sir. Come on in, Assemblyman."
They were the same folks he'd met during the tent protest in front of party HQ last time. Thanks to that, he greeted them comfortably, no pressure, and they chatted about the latest political buzz.
"Gu Secretary settling in okay?"
"Not at all. Feels great to be back in Busan."
"Glad to hear it."
"Mrs. Park coming tomorrow?"
"Probably. She'll handle it herself."
Thankfully, she didn't seem uncomfortable hanging with Jeong-ah.
"Assemblyman, shouldn't you call Mrs. Park to come? You two could walk in together later."
One of the cafe operators suddenly brought up Ara. The others chimed in, whining that they missed her too. No choice—he called Ara and got her to head to Gwangbok-dong. After her text saying she'd passed Busan Station, he excused himself from the group and drove to the public parking lot under Yongdusan Park.
"You doing good?"
"Yeah, but you look beat."
"Even after sleeping in Seoul?"
Ara linked arms with him like a pair of lovebirds on a date, pressing close and chattering nonstop.
"Whoa! Hey, everyone!"
Spotting the cafe crew as they entered the shop, Ara let out a whoop of joy and rushed over. They hugged it out, squealing with delight. Jeong-ah watched with a smile, while Gu Hyunji looked utterly baffled, like What the hell is this?
Once they calmed down, he introduced Gu Hyunji to Ara.
"This is Gu Hyunji, secretary from Assemblyman Han Seong-su's office. And this is my wife."
They shook hands and bowed. Once seated again, talk of work vanished, replaced by the girls' endless gossip—where they'd been posted, girl stuff that made time fly. His reason for rushing down early—or trekking all the way to Gwangbok-dong—had evaporated.
In the end, he pulled Jeong-ah and Gu Hyunji to the next table over, grilling them on progress and tomorrow's event logistics. He shared his thoughts and double-checked prep.
"Hyunji, where's the lodging?"
Jeong-ah said they'd scoped a nearby motel. No way was he letting grown women crash there—he drove them to Busan Station. Both spots were old, but Gwangjang Hotel by the station was a third the price of the one in Jungang-dong. After booking rooms, he headed home with Ara, who was dragging her feet to say goodbye.
"Up you get."
"Mmm... just five more minutes."
She had zero clue, dead to the world. No helping it—he hiked up her shirt and latched onto her breast.
"Ahh~ What're you—"
As he suckled, her hands pushed his head down harder. While devouring her tit, he slid a hand south to tug her pajama pants. She obligingly lifted her hips. Now she got it. Ara finally kicked into gear, responding eagerly.
His scorching pillar prodded her inner thigh, and she twisted her legs to guide it to her valley's entrance—but her dripping slick kept thwarting it. After failed thrusts that just rubbed her thighs raw, she couldn't take it anymore. Hand diving down, she gripped his shaft and ground the tip against her folds.
"Haah~"
Sweet moans escaped her, laced with arousal. They were running late—mother-in-law would be back from hiking in ten minutes. Confirming she was fired up, he stiffened his pillar, aimed at her entrance, and thrust home.
A gasp—"Hng!"—and her arms clamped his waist. To rush her climax, he pistoned faster than usual. As his hips accelerated, her cries pitched higher, legs kicking skyward, nails raking his shoulders.
The piston kept pounding until heat welled deep in her core. Time to finish her. He pulled out, caught his breath at her entrance, inhaled deep, then slammed into her pitch-black cavern. The tip battered her deepest wall; she yanked his ass with both hands, swallowing him to the hilt, until the barrier crumbled. Scorching lava engulfed his pillar. His head pinged, and the shaft screamed, wilting in the blaze.
"Haa~ah~"
Panting raggedly, she fluttered her eyes open and sighed long.
"So good~ Waking up to fuck my darling in the morning hits different~"
"Darling?"
"Yeah. Don't like it?"
"Nah, just caught me off guard."
"Mom keeps nagging. Says a married woman shouldn't call her man 'honey' like that."
"Mother-in-law, honestly..."
He didn't hate "honey"—it suited her age—but it threw him sometimes. Still, if it made her feel less shortchanged, he wouldn't push changing it. And if mother-in-law said so, it wasn't his call. Time was up; he headed to the bathroom.
"Good hike?"
He was toweling his hair when the front door opened and mother-in-law entered, plastic bag in hand. He dashed over and took it.
"Weren't you hiking?"
"Stopped by the butcher on the way back. Didn't know you were coming, so no market run."
"Leftover banchan's fine for one meal."
"Heard you're swamped lately?"
"Yeah, party convention."
She bustled to the kitchen for breakfast; Ara shuffled from bedroom to bath. Savory smells filled the house. After eating, he and Ara headed to the district office. It was already buzzing with people.
"Assemblyman, welcome!"
The Women's Committee Chair's greeting turned heads; everyone bowed his way, and he returned the nods. Not just party staff and members—local volunteer groups too. Guided by the Office Manager, he shook hands one by one.
"Your wife pulled off something huge."
"Not just her—everyone volunteering here pitched in."
Truth was, most volunteers weren't his party's base; if anything, they leaned toward the rivals. Why would comfy folks flock to a perennial opposition party claiming to rep the common man? Better to volunteer with flashy gov-funded groups—get exposure, free meals, booze. The so-called quasi-governmental outfits.
Mid-handshakes and chats, the door opened—Seo reporter strode in.
"Seo! What brings you from Seoul?"
"How could I sit at my desk when Grandma's doing something this epic? Congrats to you too, Mrs. Park."
The cafe operators, Jeong-ah, and Gu Hyunji followed. He introduced them; Seo already knew Jeong-ah and chatted her up, then did a double-take at Gu Hyunji.
"Gu Secretary, new posting?"
"Nah, just teaming up with Jeong-ah for now."
She launched into a detailed event briefing for him. He marveled at how fast she'd mastered it—not just because she was Han's sister-in-law. Han had hired her as a grade-5 secretary for real talent.
