Chapter 669: Daily Life
Chapter 669: Daily Life
She had transformed into her grown-up form and was now strangely insistent on emphasizing that she was the older one.
Seeing this, I was certain I knew what Diana was up to.
Simply put, this was an extension of that time she’d pretended to be Leia.
Come to think of it, every time Diana had acted strangely toward me lately, it was when I was treating her like a child.
Things like stroking her hair, picking her up, or trying to have her sit on my lap.
Well, those were definitely things I rarely did with Leia.
This meant Diana was resisting my actions because I wasn't seeing her as the mature woman she wanted to be.
And changing me into this form was probably just another device to emphasize that fact.
I understood her intentions.
But because I understood, I couldn't help but feel sad.
I thought this was all in the past.
We had a proper talk about this, and Diana seemed to have accepted it.
For her to be doing this again meant that I hadn't given her enough reassurance.
“Diana. I told you I love you just the way you are, even without doing things like this. I thought you understood how I felt back then. I admit, sometimes I’d stare blankly at Leia’s chest, or tease you about yours. I’ll own up to that. But I only did it because I thought you’d know it was just a joke. If it was all just my selfish misunderstanding, and you couldn't take it as a joke at all…”
I looked at Diana, who was kneeling before me, and spoke in the most serious voice I could muster.
Though it might not have come across that way, since the polymorph spell had made my voice a bit higher.
“N-No! That’s not it! I know that! I am not doubting your love! Nor am I jealous of Miss Leia!”
Fortunately, it seemed Diana realized how serious my tone was.
Seeing her frantically wave her hands and rush to deny my words, I could tell just how flustered she was.
Her genuine reaction allowed me to let out a small sigh of relief.
I mean, sure, I tease my girls a lot, but all of that is based on the premise of mutual trust.
The thought that there might not have been any trust between us all this time was enough to make me tense up.
Thankfully, that didn’t seem to be the case.
“But if that’s not it, then why did you do all this?”
“…W-Well, you see…”
At my question, Diana placed her hands on her knees and began to squirm, unable to meet my gaze.
She looked like she was having a hard time saying it. No, more like she was too embarrassed to say it.
Too embarrassed, huh? Wait a minute. Then could she possibly be…
No, it wasn't that I hadn't considered that as a possible reason for her actions.
After all, if she simply wanted to act like the older one, she didn't have to wait until we were spending the night together.
She could have just stayed in her grown-up form during the day.
The mana issue could be solved by making another one of those devices that was currently supplying mana to this bracelet.
And yet, Diana had deliberately waited until night.
She’d even told me earlier today to just “wait and see tonight.”
So, at first, I did think that was her reason.
But this wasn't the first or second time she’d reacted strangely to my actions, was it?
That’s why I’d assumed it was something more serious.
Her strange reactions had been going on since before we went to the dungeon, no… since the last time we spent the night together…
Ah… Since we spent the night together…
Yep. Okay. That confirms it.
“So, you did this because you enjoyed beating me in bed that one time, and you wanted to try and win again.”
“Ugh… I-Is that so wrong! Sometimes, I want to…!”
As I stared at her in disbelief and let out a sigh, Diana’s face turned bright red as she shouted back as if throwing a tantrum.
“You’ve been rejecting all my advances just so you could try to win once at night.”
“Y-You noticed… B-But I stroked your head and stuff, didn’t I!”
Don’t talk like you’re whining.
It’s already weird enough seeing you in your grown-up form.
“No. Still, I was hurt. To think that the reason I was racking my brain, wondering why Diana kept avoiding my touch, was something so trivial.”
“T-That wasn’t my intention! I had no idea you were thinking that…!”
As I spoke with a sigh, Diana held her hands out in front of her, looking lost and not knowing what to do.
Of course she didn’t know. I hadn’t really been worrying about it that much.
I mean, I noticed she was acting strange, but honestly, until a moment ago when I mistakenly thought she was imitating Leia, I hadn't considered it a serious problem.
This is about her and me. It’s hard to imagine there’s a huge issue when I have absolutely no clue what it could be.
So I’d just been thinking that Diana was being a little weird, that’s all.
That’s why, earlier today, I only asked about Rachel’s past and didn’t press Diana about her strange behavior.
Well, it’s true I felt a little down when I thought she was jealous of Leia just now, so saying I was hurt isn’t a complete lie.
“To soothe my wounded heart, I suppose there’s nothing for it but for you to step up, Diana…”
“W-What are you trying to make me do?! D-Didn’t you enjoy that sort of thing enough with Miss Sara yesterday?!”
Seeing Sara’s behavior all day, Diana must have realized that we had actually done the maid play I mentioned in the dungeon.
Perhaps thinking she couldn’t end up like Sara, Diana cried out as if that was the one thing she wouldn’t do.
“That was then, this is now. So, you’ll grant my request, won’t you?”
“W-What are you going to make me do?”
“I’ll tell you after you say yes.”
“D-Didn’t you at least tell Miss Sara what you were going to do beforehand! I should at least hear what it is…”
“Ugh! The wound in my heart from Diana…!”
“Fine! I’ll do it! I’ll do it, alright?! Just stop acting like that in that form!”
As I clutched my heart and pretended to collapse with the most pitiful expression I could manage, Diana finally shouted as if giving up completely.
Ah, right. I was still transformed.
I guess making a pitiful face in this form does make me look much more pathetic than usual.
Well, I’m just glad it was effective.
“Really! You’re the best, Sister Diana! Thank you!”
“Don’t call me sister only at times like this!”
The moment I dropped the pitiful act and beamed at her, Diana spoke as if disgusted and raised her hand to pat—or rather, hit—my head… but then just lowered it.
Our stats were the same, so it wouldn’t have made a difference, but she probably thought it would look strange for her, the big one, to be patting me, the small one.
“Ughhh… So what is it you want me to do?”
Unable to even pat my head, Diana sent me a resentful glare and muttered sulkily.
“Don’t be so on guard. It’s nothing major. I just want you to put this on in that form and take a walk with me around the mansion.”
As I spoke, I took one of Diana’s robes out of my inventory.
Of course, it was a robe she wore in her usual form.
“You’re trying to make me do that again… Is that all?”
You want me to do some exhibitionism play with you again.
Diana’s tone was blunt, as if that’s what she was saying, but contrary to her words, she seemed surprisingly willing to accept my request.
She must have thought I was going to make her do something outrageous, like dress up in a maid outfit and lick my toes like Sara. Compared to that, this must have seemed like a surprisingly trivial request.
Of course, wearing this robe in her transformed state would make her much more exposed here and there.
Still, that was far tamer than what I did to Sara.
No, since I was even letting her wear a robe, it was a normal request even without comparing it to Sara’s case.
I could have just asked her to walk around the mansion as she was now, in her current state where her polymorphed body was dangerously emphasized by clothes that didn’t fit.
That’s probably what Diana was thinking.
Well, I never actually made Sara lick my feet, but Diana would be under that misconception.
And besides what I did with Sara, there was one other thing Diana was mistaken about.
“Yep. That’s all. Here.”
But I didn’t bother to correct her misunderstanding and simply handed her the robe.
Diana took it with a still-dubious expression and draped it over her body.
Only then did I correct her mistake.
“Diana. You can’t wear the robe over your clothes. Let’s take off what’s underneath, shall we?”
The moment I said that, Diana’s body froze.
She stared down at me, then let out a deep sigh as if to say, “I knew it.”
“I knew you’d do this. Fine.”
Huh? Her reaction is a little weak, isn’t it?
Putting my question aside, Diana slowly began to take off the dress that was straining against her body.
The moment she untied the knot on her back, her chest and hips burst forth as if finally liberated, creating a magnificent sight.
“…It’s embarrassing when you stare so intently.”
We had seen each other naked countless times, and watched each other dress and undress just as often, but my gaze still seemed to make her quite shy.
Well, it wasn’t often that I just stood by and watched while she stripped for me like this.
Still, Diana didn’t tell me to look away, and let the dress slide down her body.
At last, her fully mature, perfect figure was revealed before my eyes.
Well, her ill-fitting underwear was still covering her body, so she wasn’t completely naked.
Even so, the small underwear dug into her chest and hips, seeming to accentuate her amazing figure even more.
“……”
Diana glanced at me shyly before slowly taking that off as well.
And finally, Diana’s naked form was fully revealed to my eyes.
It was a perfect body, one that fully justified her confident claim of ‘If only I were grown up!’
And now, Diana was about to wear nothing but a single robe that would reveal that entire body…
“Then wait just a moment.”
That’s what I thought, but Diana didn’t immediately put on the robe. Instead, she turned around.
She couldn’t be trying to show off her back. What was she doing?
“Hm? Why?”
“I can’t wear it with underwear that doesn’t fit. I must go and get some that is my size, mustn’t I?”
Only then did I realize why Diana had accepted my command to undress without much resistance.
She thought she was going to be wearing underwear.
“No. No, Diana. You don’t need underwear.”
“…Hm?”
“I said let’s take a walk with just the robe on. You know what I mean, right?”
“……”
As I corrected her misunderstanding, Diana froze solid in the middle of turning back to me.
Combined with her overwhelming beauty, she looked like a statue of a goddess.
After a few seconds of silence, Diana finally began to move again.
“W-W-What are you saying! You want me to wear the robe with nothing underneath?!”
“Yep.”
“B-But then everything will be visible! M-My chest will bounce out…!”
“That’s the point.”
“N-No! Absolutely not! It’s not even that late yet! There might still be people walking around…!”
“Sounds thrilling.”
“What do you mean, thrilling! A-Are you really going to make me do this? Are you serious? I… I…”
“Diana. You said you’d grant my request, didn’t you?”
“I said I would, but! I said I would, but!”
As if asking how I could make her do such a thing, Diana shook her head, her face flushed crimson as she resisted.
I walked up to her, stood on my tiptoes, and brought my lips to her ear to whisper.
“Diana.”
“W-What is it…”
“You’re wet right now.”
