Chapter 565: The Fourth First Night
Chapter 565: The Fourth First Night
“Guwon! …Good morning.”
For some reason, Vanessa was walking faster than usual. When I followed her into the dining room, the first person to greet me was none other than Sara.
She called my name as if she had something to say, but when she saw Silvia following behind me, her expression shifted to one of understanding as she offered a simple greeting.
It seemed she was quite curious about how things with Silvia had turned out, especially since she had given up her own turn.
But one look at Silvia now, and you wouldn’t even need to ask what happened last night. That must be why she just gave a normal greeting.
Silvia was beet red, as if she was embarrassed and awkward to be clinging to my side on our way to the dining room, yet she would occasionally break into a silly, blissful grin.
“Yeah. Sleep well?”
“I did. I slept soundly, without a certain someone bothering me all night right after returning from the dungeon.”
“What?! Are you saying you don’t like sleeping with me?!”
“It’s not that I don’t like it… but it’s a little tiring on the day we get back from the dungeon, you know?”
“Hey. If you keep that up, I’m gonna cry.”
“You idiot. Is that the only threat a grown man can make?”
As we exchanged that silly banter, I moved closer to Sara, and without a word, we both leaned in for a light kiss on the lips.
Next to me, Silvia opened her mouth, looking at Sara with an expression that said she didn't know how to thank her.
“S-Sara-nim! Th-that is!”
“Silvia. Let’s not talk about it. It’ll just be awkward.”
Of course, Sara stopped her before she could continue.
I noticed it last night, too, but that girl is surprisingly… no, blatantly mature in her reactions. And she’s the youngest one here.
Is she trying to act the part, since she’s always insisting she’s the main wife?
“Hmph. Well, she did pester us all night. It’s only natural she’d feel awkward.”
But just as Sara was cultivating that mature image, Diana, who was sitting next to her, shattered it completely with a single comment.
“Wai—!”
“Hm? What do you mean?”
The moment Diana spoke, a flustered Sara tried to shut her up, but I held Sara back and urged Diana to continue.
“Things like, ‘Diana, Leia, Matilda. Do you think we should go to Guwon’s room right now?’ Or, ‘I’m an idiot. An idiot. I should’ve just been shameless and slept with him… Guwoooon… I miss youuu…’ Thanks to her, we barely got any sleep until dawn.”
“Oh, my… Diana-ssi…”
At Diana’s remark, Leia, who was beside her, didn’t deny it, just smiled with a slightly troubled look.
Come to think of it, all three of them did look a bit tired for people who had just woken up.
Sara herself, however, looked perfectly fine.
But I see. No wonder the three of them didn’t react much when I came in with Silvia.
They must have known since last night that I was sleeping with her.
But to think she actually said those things. Does that mean she might have…
“Sara, were you drinking last night by any chance?”
“…J-just a little?”
At my question, Sara, who had been glaring resentfully at Diana, averted her gaze and mumbled.
What the hell. So, I unknowingly averted a major crisis last night?
Sara has a tendency to go wild whenever she drinks.
If Sara had come into the room last night, there was a serious possibility that Silvia would have died of embarrassment.
As if reading my thoughts, Diana spoke again.
“Worry not. I put her to sleep with magic before she could storm your room.”
“Th-that’s why I said, Dianaaa!”
“Uuh… S-Sara-nim… I’m sorry…”
“Silvia, you too! You don’t have to apologize!”
In the end, after just a few words, Sara’s mature demeanor had vanished without a trace.
There you go, Sara. That’s much more fitting for your age, and it suits you better.
Though she did seem a little less aggressive than usual.
Normally, when Sara gets this flustered, she unconsciously lands verbal blows to the solar plexus.
The answer to that question was revealed immediately.
“In any case, tomorrow night, you shall sleep with Sara.”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“We can’t let Sara have all the fun of playing the main wife, can we? This is the least we can do for Silvia.”
I see. So that’s what it was.
No wonder Sara’s reaction was so tame today, even with Diana teasing her.
But as expected of Diana and Leia.
Diana said it like it was no big deal, but in the end, just like Sara did yesterday, she was pushing her own turn back by one.
My girls really are all angels.
When I walked over to Diana and stroked her head, she nuzzled her head against my hand with a smug look, as if to say I could touch her more.
But as I was stroking Diana’s hair, I realized something felt off about what she had just said.
“…Huh? Wait a minute. Tomorrow? Then what about today?”
“Must you ask? Is there not someone here who has yet to spend a night with you?”
Hearing that, my gaze finally turned to Matilda, who had been quiet this whole time.
No, to be precise, she hadn’t spoken to me, but she hadn’t exactly been quiet.
“Ahh… you… that… but… ahh… if you desire it…”
No wonder she’d been in her own pink-tinted world ever since I entered the dining room, muttering sweet nothings to the empty air.
So that was the reason.
“For real? The service around here is pretty great. I mean, of course, I appreciate the thought.”
“Hmph. As your main wife! I possess at least this much magnanimity.”
“Just so you know, Diana didn’t decide this on her own. We all discussed it. As the main wife!”
It seemed Sara couldn’t let such a strong “main wife” appeal go unchallenged, as she chimed in from the side, not to be outdone.
Don’t tell me they were fighting over who was the main wife last night and ended up reaching this conclusion.
Well, as long as the result is good, I guess it’s all fine.
“What is it that I desire?”
“Hyat! O-oh, my. Y-you. Did you sleep well?”
Thanking my girls for their decision, I spoke to Matilda. She jumped in surprise as if she’d only just noticed I was there and greeted me.
Too late for that, lady. And don’t you dare try to slip back into your pink-tinted world.
“Uuh… E-everyone…”
Anyway, as the situation became clear, Silvia, moved by my girls’ kindness, looked at them with her large, tear-filled eyes.
Silvia already treated the three of them with the utmost respect, like they were the main wives, but now her gaze was filled with an added layer of reverence.
“Fufu. Silvia-ssi. Don’t just stand there, come over here.”
“Ye-yesh!”
Receiving Silvia’s gaze, Leia beckoned to her with a warm smile, looking a little shy herself.
Normally, Silvia ate by herself in a corner of the dining table, but today she had even received the Apostle’s Seal.
It seemed she was no longer so nervous that just eating near me would be a problem. She answered energetically and approached Leia.
Little did she know it was a trap.
No, our angel probably didn’t mean it that way.
“Th-that’s right! Silvia! Come on over.”
“Hmph. So, where is your Apostle’s Seal?”
The moment Silvia got close, Sara and Diana pounced on her, trying to find out the location of her Apostle’s Seal.
Those eyes… that’s the look of someone hoping for a little misery-loves-company.
These girls… are they thinking that since they had to show where their seals were, she should too?
But what to do? I didn’t exactly put it in a place they’d be expecting.
“Ye-yesh? Th-the Aposhtle’s Sheal, you mean…? It’s… here… hehe.”
Silvia squirmed a little, as if embarrassed by the words “Apostle’s Seal,” then shyly brushed her bangs aside with one hand to reveal the seal on her forehead.
“Haaaah…”
“Guwon…”
And just as I’d expected, the moment Silvia’s Apostle’s Seal was revealed, Sara and Diana both let out disappointed sighs in unison.
And for some reason, they were glaring at me resentfully.
“Eh, eh…? I-is there a problem?”
“It’s nothing, Silvia-ssi. Honestly, you two. There’s no need to sigh…”
Silvia seemed a bit taken aback by their reaction, but our angel patted her on the back and smiled as if to say it was nothing.
“No, what were you two even expecting? You knew Silvia doesn’t have any erogenous zones, right?”
“Urk… C-come to think of it, that’s right…”
“She’s been acting so normal lately, I forgot…”
Just as I thought. They were asking because they assumed I’d put it on an erogenous zone and were hoping for a comrade in their “suffering.”
And since Matilda’s wasn’t on an erogenous zone, it seems they were especially hoping to feel a sense of kinship with Silvia.
But to be so desperate that they even forgot Silvia was frigid… just how badly did they want it?
“If you hate the current location so much, I can move yours, you know?”
“N-no way!”
“Don’t you dare touch my seal!”
And when I say that, they react like this.
Ah, but the way they each just covered their butt and lower abdomen was pretty sexy.
See? I have an amazing talent for picking Apostle’s Seal locations.
“M-more importantly, Silvia-ssi’s seal is wonderful too. It’s pretty, like a tiara.”
Perhaps embarrassed that the topic of erogenous zones kept coming up, Leia clapped her hands once with a slightly flushed face and steered the conversation back to the location of Silvia’s seal.
“Th-thank you!”
“Indeed. A location like that can be shown off proudly.”
“I can show mine off proudly right now, you know.”
“Th-that goes for this one, too…!”
“That’s why I’m telling you not to show it off. Anyway, does it look okay? I was actually a little worried about putting it on a woman’s face.”
“Ah, is that why you made the color so faint?”
“Yeah. But if you don’t like it, just say so. I can move it anytime.”
“I-it’s fine! There’s no problem at all!”
Silvia jumped in surprise at my words, pulling her bangs down to cover her forehead. As if that wasn’t enough, she pressed down on her bangs with both hands, thoroughly hiding the seal’s location.
Judging by her reaction, Silvia seems to like it quite a lot.
Well, she was smiling foolishly at herself in the mirror this morning.
No, to be precise, she’s still breaking into a blissful grin intermittently, as if she can’t contain her joy.
Silvia. I know you’re happy, but aren’t you being a little too free with your smiles?
Where did that listless knight from before go?
Of course, she’s much cuter now. I love you.
Anyway, only after we finished the initiation ceremony of exposing Silvia’s Apostle’s Seal location were we finally able to eat.
“Well then, I’m going to head out for a bit.”
Perhaps because I was excited about finally giving all my party members an Apostle’s Seal, the meal tasted even more delicious than usual. After we finished, I looked at my girls with a warm gaze and spoke.
Honestly, I wanted to stay with my angelic girls, but I had something to do.
After all, I did cause quite a commotion when I left the Guild yesterday.
I don’t know what Silvia said in her return report, but Rachel must be incredibly worried by now.
And while I’m at it, I should explain things to Alicia.
Alicia is definitely a straightforward person and can be a bit dense, but yesterday’s situation was unfair to her.
I was perfectly fine, greeting her and talking normally, while my girls were treating me like I was fragile porcelain.
From Alicia’s perspective, it must have just looked like my girls were overreacting.
That’s probably why she was so persistent in blocking my way.
Well, to be fair, they were overreacting.
In reality, I was perfectly fine.
“No.”
But the moment I stood up from my seat, Sara stopped my outing with a firm tone.
“H-huh? What did you say?”
“There’s no way we’d allow it. You’re to rest here at the mansion today.”
“What? No. But I’m fine…”
“Guwon-ssi.”
I tried to resist, but this time it was Leia, with a resolute expression, who cut me off.
“Yes, my angel.”
“You are not to go out.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
In the end, I was sentenced to being unable to leave the house for the entire day.
