Chapter 312: Guwon the Tutor
Chapter 312: Guwon the Tutor
After that, Sara and I ended up doing it nineteen more times.
Because she'd hit her level cap, she wouldn't level up no matter how many times I came, which meant she had to endure the pleasure with sheer grit.
Thanks to that, it seemed Sara had found a new reason to go to the dungeon.
“I need to raise my Hero level, and fast…”
That was the first thing she said after waking up and looking at my face.
Well, ever since avenging her grandfather, she hadn't been as desperate to level up as before. This might actually be a good motivator for her.
We were planning to keep going to the dungeon anyway, so it was better for Sara to have a reason than not.
“I think you're fine just the way you are. Seeing you unable to handle it reminds me of the old days.”
“Idiot. It'd be one thing if it were just once or twice, but my body won't hold up if it's like this every time.”
Sara said, lightly slapping my chest.
“Still, you managed not to pass out.”
That was true. Sara had only lost consciousness after confirming I'd come for the twentieth time.
“Well… it's been a while, and I knew you wouldn't want the mood to be broken midway through.”
“Nah. Even if you passed out, I would've just kept playing with your body, so it wouldn't have mattered to me.”
“You really are a pervert!”
Sara hit my chest again, this time with a little more force.
Not that it hurt at all.
“There's another reason I need to level up.”
“Hm?”
“It pisses me off that you don't even react when I hit you like this.”
“Hey. You shouldn't be thinking about hitting your big brother in the first place.”
“I only hit you when you say something that deserves it, right? You're always trying to pull some weird prank.”
Well, I couldn't deny that I said a lot of stupid things and played a lot of pranks.
“Then I guess I'd better get all my pranks in while your hits still don't hurt.”
“Idiot! Saying things like that… hah! Wait! Hngh! Again?! Are we doing it again?!”
For the record, the aftereffects of last night hadn't completely faded, and Sara was still lying limp on top of me, her cheek pressed against my chest.
To think that even Healing Sex couldn't completely relieve her fatigue.
Perhaps twenty rounds in a row without a break was a bit too much.
Even Leia, who had sparked Sara's competitive spirit, had actually taken breaks in between.
Let's keep that a secret from Sara.
“This is your punishment for provoking me while naked.”
“Th-That's just because I fell asleep like this last night, so of course…! Hnngh! I swear! You idiot!”
To me, that just sounds like permission, Sara.
In the end, Sara and I did it one more time, first thing in the morning.
*
“Miss Sara, why are you… No. Never mind. Don't say it.”
When we went down to the dining hall, Diana, who had been talking with Silvia, saw Sara being carried on my back. She started to say something in a slightly displeased tone, but then seemed to realize something and changed her words.
Her initial displeasure must have been because she thought Sara had stolen her designated spot. How cute.
For the record, as soon as Silvia saw my face, she scurried off to a corner.
She's been with me for days and she's still like this.
I guess she was only able to endure it in the dungeon because of the tension of not knowing when a battle might break out.
“We did it twenty times last night. I'm a man who keeps his promises, you know.”
“You idiot! Don't say such embarrassing things!” “Did I not say to stop?! Why must you speak of it! Are you a fool?!”
I was called an idiot from both the front and the back.
Sara even hit me.
I pretended not to hear their reactions and continued.
“Diana. Sara worked so hard for me last night. Doesn't seeing this make you feel anything?”
“Hm? I-I shall not be doing it twenty times.”
Diana said, wrapping her arms around herself as if she felt her life was in danger.
No. I just wanted to hear her say that she'd also make an effort for me tonight.
But since she was reacting like this, I had no choice but to play along.
“What?! Sara did it, and Leia did it, but you won't, Diana?! Y-Your affection for me has cooled!”
“I can see you're doing that on purpose! But no matter what, I refuse!”
“Oh? You refuse? Then I guess it's Leia's turn tonight.”
“Th-That is not what I meant!”
As if she thought I was about to go to Leia that very instant, Diana rushed over, wrapped her arms around my waist, and blocked my path.
“I'm kidding, I'm kidding. It's been a while since I've been with you too, Diana. You think I'd skip you?”
“You should not make such jokes!”
Diana said, scolding me as she reached for my head.
I lowered my head and bent my waist slightly, and Diana nodded with a satisfied expression, patting my head.
“Do you understand!”
“Yes. I'm sorry, Sister Diana.”
“Hmph. As long as you understand.”
“Oh my. Are we the last ones?”
“Yeah. Leia. Good morning.”
“Yes. Did you sleep well, Guwon-ssi?”
“Answering only Leia-ssi. Am I invisible to you?!”
“Oh. You were here too.”
“What is with that disrespectful tone?! I am a Cardinal, you know!”
“Yeah. And I'm the Saint.”
“E-Eeeek! You always have a comeback for everything!”
Heh. I win.
Anyway, after Leia and Matilda joined us in the dining hall, we began our meal.
For the record, since Diana was already in the dining hall, you can assume that everyone from the Mage Association had already arrived.
Those people are never, ever later than Diana for a meal.
As we ate, I stared intently at Matilda's face.
Should I tell her now that I might be able to break her curse?
Or would it be better to tell her after I've had my reunion with Diana and Leia?
Even if I were to do it with Matilda, I don't think it would take very long.
I just need to check if the curse breaks.
If we're just talking about time, I could finish it during the day.
And I can't think of anything else I need to do today.
No, but if I sleep with Matilda before I've been with Diana and Leia, neither of them will be very happy about it. They wouldn't show it, but still.
Of course they wouldn't be happy. They've been looking forward to this too, since it's been a while.
Still, it's better to break a curse sooner rather than later, and it would be a relief for me not to have to pick pointless fights with Matilda anymore.
Hmm. What should I do?
“Ah, right. None of you have anything to do today, right?”
“Hm? What is it?”
“We got a ton of materials from the 5th Floor as a quest reward. Let's go get our gear enhanced with them.”
I need to get my hole-ridden leather armor fixed, too.
I remember we got things like Ogre Hide and Troll Blood. If we dump all of that into enhancements, we'll get some incredible stuff.
“Hmm. Are you planning to go to that young lady's shop we always visit?”
“Huh? That's the plan. Is there a problem?”
“Not at all. However, I question whether that young lady has the skill to handle materials from the 5th Floor. The weapons and armor she made from upper-floor materials certainly seemed solid, but I do not recall seeing any equipment there made from deep-floor materials. It could simply be that she was unable to acquire them, of course.”
Diana stated calmly as she ate.
I see. So that's a potential problem.
From what I've seen walking around town, the average level for civilians in this world is in the 20s for adult women, while for adult men it's often in the low teens or, in some cases, even single digits.
That's more than enough for a normal life, but to reach the level of a so-called master craftsman, you need a higher level.
Of course, just as you can gain a small amount of EXP from combat, it seems you can also gain a little from non-combat professional activities. But there's a limit to how high you can level up that way.
But since their lives aren't on the line like adventurers, most of them aren't willing to just sleep around with anyone to raise their level.
According to Diana, a blacksmith over level 100 is considered a master.
Come to think of it, what was Hanna's level?
I think I checked it once before, but since I just use Analyze on people out of habit, I don't really remember.
I'm sure it wasn't very high, though. If it were, it would have left an impression on me.
“Well, we'll find out when we get there.”
So, after we finished our meal, we headed straight for Hanna's blacksmith shop.
For the record, 'we' refers to the five members of our clan. Matilda didn't come with us.
Things get complicated in all sorts of ways when she's around.
“We're here!”
“Welcome.”
When we entered the smithy, it wasn't Hanna who greeted us, but a little kid.
It was Yohan, the dwarf employee here.
“I'll take my sweet time. Don't order your customers around.”
“Y-Yes, sir?!”
“Hey. Stop bullying my Yohan.”
As Yohan let out a flustered cry, Hanna emerged from the back of the workshop.
I walked up to her and immediately used Analyze.
Level 43…
No, that's definitely high for a civilian. Yeah. It's an incredibly high number for a civilian.
But it was definitely an ambiguous level for handling high-tier equipment.
“What? Why are you suddenly staring at my face?”
“Well, we brought some materials from the 5th Floor this time.”
“What?! The 5th Floor?! Didn't you guys just enter the 3rd Floor not too long ago?!”
“Well, a lot of things happened. Anyway, we came to get our gear enhanced. Think you can do it?”
“Hmm… Can I see the materials first?”
“Sure. Here.”
I took out a few items, like the Ogre Hide and the Cyclops's Eye, and Hanna began to examine them with a serious expression.
Her eyes were burning with passion; it was clear she was filled with the desire to try making equipment with these.
But the more she examined the items, the more her passionate gaze turned to one of regret.
“It's no good. I can't do it.”
“Your skill isn't high enough?”
“…Yeah. It's not that I couldn't enhance something with these, but it would be impossible to bring out the material's full potential. If you want, I can recommend another, more skilled blacksmith.”
As she spoke, Hanna handed the items back to me, her expression dripping with reluctance.
So it turned out just as I'd feared.
To be honest, I didn't want to change my regular shop.
I'd grown quite fond of Hanna as a person, too.
How many blacksmiths would honestly admit their own lack of skill and recommend someone else?
Most would be blinded by the money and take the job even if they weren't skilled enough.
It's not easy to find another honest shop like this.
“Is your skill lacking because your blacksmith level is too low? Or because your personal level is too low?”
“Why are you asking that?”
When I asked, Hanna's eyes sharpened.
Does she think I'm hitting on her?
That's not it, you punk. I'm actually a pretty pure guy, you know.
Why does everyone think I'm some kind of playboy?
Besides, if I were to sleep with Hanna, she'd die from the pleasure the moment I put it in.
Well, I suppose I could handle her if I used my Weaker Stance.
“No, I'm an adventurer, too. If your personal level is too low and that's stopping you from raising your blacksmith level, I could recommend a decent adventurer to you.”
What was that guy Brin's level again?
He should still be on the 2nd Floor, so he'd probably be at a suitable level to help Hanna level up.
“What are you talking about with my boyfriend standing right next to me?!”
Hanna suddenly flared up in anger.
Huh? What's she talking about? Boyfriend?
I looked around.
Inside the shop, there were a few female adventurers browsing, my party, and Hanna and Yohan. No one else.
“Don't tell me…”
“That's right.”
“You're a shotacon…”
“I just like cute things. Isn't that feminine of me?”
Hanna said, pulling Yohan into an embrace with arms toned from her blacksmithing work.
“H-Hanna, not inside the shop…”
Yohan is way more feminine than you are, you idiot.
Why is this world so full of disappointing people?
It feels even more pathetic because so many of them are beautiful.
My girls really are the best.
I was reminded of that fact once again.
