Chapter 101: Clan Founding
Chapter 101: Clan Founding
I managed to get out of the situation for the time being, but when I woke up the next morning, the regret started to set in.
Did I go too far?
Now that I’ve confessed, I can’t take it back. Our relationship is bound to change, one way or another.
Worse, there was no guarantee that my confession had completely soothed Sara’s anger.
Why the hell did I do something so crazy?
There were several reasons, I suppose.
Sara looked even more beautiful than usual when she took the initiative to use her mouth on me. My mind was a wreck right after being so shaken up, so I wasn't thinking clearly. And since we were in the middle of sex, I let my dick do the thinking instead of my brain.
In any case, there was no turning back now. It would be one of two things.
If Sara accepted my feelings, I would, of course, be happy. I’d be dating a girl this beautiful.
But at the same time, I worried I might not be able to maintain my relationships with Diana or Leia, so to be honest, I couldn't be purely happy about it.
It was a scumbag thought, but it couldn't be helped. I liked those two just as much as I liked Sara.
On the other hand, if Sara didn't accept my feelings, that would be even worse.
This could end up being the last time I ever had sex with her.
No, it could be worse—this might be the last time I ever see her face.
Guwon stared intently at Sara’s sleeping face.
This could be the last time I’m with her?
The mere thought was horrifying.
Perhaps it was a man’s instinct, but his member, still buried deep inside Sara’s body, twitched.
Guwon didn’t fight the instinct.
I’ll never let you go. As if I would. You’re mine.
As if to convey those feelings, he began to thrust his hips forcefully.
“Nngh… Hah… Huh? Gu-Guwon? Heut! Wh-what is… Mmph!”
The stimulation woke Sara, and she tried to say something, but Guwon covered her mouth with his own. He continued to thrust his hips, gripping her buttocks tightly and moving her up and down with him.
Soon, Sara began to move her own hips in time with Guwon’s rhythm.
She wrapped her arms around the back of his head, pulling him close as their tongues tangled fiercely.
Is she just reacting like this because she’s groggy from waking up? Or is this just a habit she has during sex? Or… does this mean she’s accepted my confession?
Guwon stared into Sara’s eyes, trying to read her thoughts, but he could see nothing beyond the raw pleasure in them.
Knock, knock. Click.
Just as he and Sara were passionately entangled, a knock sounded from the door, and it opened a crack.
“Sir Guwon. Lady Sara. Lady Diana is waiting for you in the dining hall.”
Vanessa’s voice drifted through the small opening.
“Uh, huh? Wait a minute! We’ll get ready and be right there! Tell Diana to wait just a little longer!” Guwon shouted in a fluster at the unexpected turn of events.
Just yesterday, she would have just opened the door and walked in, but this time she announced herself like that. And she had called for Sara, too.
Don’t tell me she heard us going at it first thing in the morning.
It was a little embarrassing.
“Very well. Excuse me.”
But that didn’t mean he was going to end things halfway.
As soon as the door closed, Guwon picked up the pace, driving his hips to finish things off.
“Hnnnnngh!”
Sharing a deep kiss, Sara’s and Guwon’s bodies trembled at the same time.
“Hah, hah, hah… Haaah. What was that all about, first thing in the morning?”
When Guwon’s lips finally parted from hers, Sara shot him a light glare and complained.
“Sorry. You just looked so beautiful while you were sleeping.”
Guwon offered a bit of flattery.
Though their morning sex had delayed things once again, the moment of truth had finally arrived.
Alright, how are you going to play this?
Guwon steeled himself and looked at Sara, but her reaction was completely unexpected.
“Hah, haah… Hngh! Wow, I think I came even more than usual this time. Diana’s waiting, so let’s hurry up and wash.”
With those words, Sara lifted her hips, pulling away from him.
It was as if she had completely forgotten about their conversation last night.
Could it be? Did the intense pleasure make her forget?
It was a ridiculous thought, but that’s how refreshingly nonchalant she was acting.
“Um… Sara?”
“Yes? What is it?”
Guwon called out to her without thinking, but Sara’s demeanor was the same as always.
No. Perhaps because they had just had sex, she seemed to be in a slightly better mood than usual.
“No, it’s… it’s nothing.”
As expected, he couldn’t bring himself to ask her directly.
“Hmph. What’s with you this morning?”
Sara let out a small, amused laugh as if he were being silly, then walked over to the bathtub in the corner of the room and drew the curtain.
What is with that attitude…? Does she really not remember what I said yesterday?
How am I supposed to take this?
The possibility that she truly didn’t remember was slim.
She seems to be in a good mood, so even though she hasn’t given me a specific answer, should I assume she has feelings for me too?
Or is she just avoiding the question because she doesn’t want to hurt my feelings, with no intention of accepting my confession?
Or could it be that she, like me, wants to maintain the status quo? No, that would mean she only wants my body, which is basically the same as being rejected.
Guwon felt his thoughts tangle like a skein of yarn.
Sara’s cool and aloof beauty made it easy to misunderstand her, but she was likely an innocent country girl who had never even held a man’s hand before meeting him.
Guwon had figured that much out during their time together.
It was hard to believe a girl like that would be capable of using an advanced technique like playing hard to get.
Aaargh! If it’s not that, then what the hell is with her attitude?!
“Guwon. I’m done. You should hurry and wash up too.”
In the end, he agonized over it until Sara had finished washing, but no clear answer came to him.
…Right. Worrying about it like this won’t do any good. I should just wash up.
He didn’t know what Sara was thinking, but at the very least, it didn’t seem like their current relationship was about to fall apart.
No. Thinking about it, isn’t it a good thing she’s acting this way?
He had avoided a falling out with Sara, but they weren’t officially together either, so it wouldn’t cause problems with Diana or Leia.
What the. This is exactly what I wanted—maintaining the status quo.
With that thought, his head felt a little lighter.
Right. Agonizing over things by myself isn’t my style. I should just get washed.
His mind at ease, Guwon stepped into the bathtub.
…Huh? Wait, if I had barged in while Sara was washing, could we have washed together?
He belatedly realized he had just missed a huge opportunity.
*
“I must say, you two… Just because it’s a day off, can’t you manage to come down on time for breakfast? The food I had prepared is getting cold.”
When they arrived at the dining hall, Diana was sitting with her arms crossed, a sullen look on her face.
That reaction. She definitely knows we were doing it this morning. Did Vanessa tell her everything?
“Sorry. We’ll be more careful starting tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow…!”
Diana started to say something but stopped, her brow furrowing.
“I’m sorry, Diana. Don’t be angry first thing in the morning. Please cheer up.”
“I am not particularly angry. More importantly, you seem to be in a good mood.”
“Hehe. Do I?”
Yeah. I was thinking the same thing.
She couldn’t maintain her usual cool expression and was smiling like that. Of course it was obvious.
Ugh. Just looking at that face makes me want to believe she’s happy because of my confession.
But if that were the case, there would be no reason for her not to give me an answer.
If she delayed her response, it would only give me more time to sleep with Diana and Leia.
“And you. Why are you doing that? You’ve been staring at Lady Sara this entire time.”
“Huh? M-Me? Was I?”
“…The two of you are practically glowing.”
In Diana’s eyes, it seemed Guwon and Sara looked like a lovey-dovey couple.
“Ugh. Let’s just eat.”
As expected, Diana was an adult. She suppressed her voice and said only that.
Sorry for unintentionally flaunting our relationship, but don’t make that face. You’ll get wrinkles on your pretty face.
“So, are we going to the temple today?” Sara, still looking cheerful, asked Guwon as they ate.
“Yeah. We should. I need to give them the Mana Pools, and we need to talk about where they grow naturally.”
And I have to study… Ugh. Just thinking about it makes me not want to go.
“Diana. Sorry to ask, but will you come with us?”
“Hm? Of course. I cannot very well leave such negotiations to you.”
That was indeed why he’d asked her to come, but hearing it directly from Diana’s lips made him a little sad.
You made me the clan leader, so can’t you have a little more faith in me?
“I’ll go with you too,” Sara said.
“Really? There won’t be much for you to do there, though.”
In fact, yesterday Sara had done nothing but follow them around.
“Still. Everyone’s going together, right?”
Come to think of it, if they went to the temple, Leia would join them, and they’d all be together.
I see. She doesn’t want to be left out. She really does have a cute side to her.
This was bad. Maybe it was because of what had happened, but he was finding her even prettier than usual over the smallest things.
*
After finishing their meal, Guwon stood waiting in the mansion’s lobby.
Sara and Diana had gone back to their rooms, saying they were going to change their clothes.
He wasn’t alone, though.
“Vanessa.”
“Yes.”
Vanessa was waiting quietly behind him.
Isn’t she a butler? Doesn’t she have work to do?
Since yesterday, she seemed to be sticking to him an unusual amount.
Well, it was boring waiting alone, so this was good.
“Vanessa, were you an adventurer too?”
“No.”
“For someone who wasn’t, you’re ridiculously strong.”
“As a butler of the Telluna family, it is only natural.”
“R-Right.”
Why the hell is that natural for a butler?
Don’t tell me butlers are a combat class in this world, or there’s a job called Battle Butler or something?
As they exchanged some pointless chatter, Sara and Diana soon came downstairs.
“Oh? You’re both dressed normally today.”
Both were dressed quite stylishly, but not in the glamorous dresses they wore yesterday.
It wasn’t for a lack of clothes; this mansion must have dozens of such dresses.
“Yes. The shoes were a bit uncomfortable to wear…”
“Yesterday’s attire was a necessity. There is no need to stand out all the time.”
Their reasons seemed to be different, but in any case, it looked like they wouldn’t be wearing dresses regularly.
What a shame. The selection process was a pain, but they looked incredibly beautiful in them.
Of course, that wasn’t to say they didn’t look beautiful now.
They weren’t wearing glamorous dresses, but both had stylishly pulled off outfits that suited them perfectly.
“Vanessa. Is the carriage ready?”
“Yes.”
It seemed they would be taking a carriage again today.
When they went out to the garden, the carriage was already waiting.
“It’s surprisingly modest.”
He had imagined a magnificent carriage emblazoned with Diana’s large, symbolic crest, but it was surprisingly plain.
“Do you prefer a more ornate carriage? We do have one of those.”
“No. I was just surprised, that’s all. There’s no need to ride around in something flashy that draws attention.”
“Mm. I concur.”
It seemed Diana didn’t particularly like standing out.
Her running away from home was over, so she didn’t need to hide anymore.
Come to think of it, back in the dungeon when those people in knight’s armor were looking for her, didn’t she say some strange things, like calling them an evil group trying to interfere with her research?
She’s back home now, but nothing seems to have happened. Why did she run away in the first place?
“But there’s no coachman,” Sara noted.
“It is fine. I will drive.”
Vanessa answered Sara’s question.
You really can do anything, can’t you? Are all butlers like that?
And so, with Vanessa at the reins, they all headed for the temple.
