25. Trip?
25. A Journey?
As one might expect, Terrahon, struck by Ga-eun’s magic, crumbled into pieces and perished.
On top of that, there was the horn on his forehead—the hardest part of Terrahon’s body.
Terrahon’s horn was so hard that even most A-rank hunters would be unable to break it.
However, Kang Taesan gazed at the horn on Terra-horn’s corpse.
No, to be precise, he was looking at a fragment of what had once been the horn.
“Is this… Terra-horn’s horn…?”
“Oh, come on. Uncle Taesan, don’t you know just how hard that horn is?”
“That may be so, but…”
Kang Taesan ran his fingers over the fragments scattered across the floor.
Touching them himself, he could tell for certain.
That distinctive texture and sheen left no doubt—it was indeed a horn.
It was simply that it had been reduced to fragments, having lost even the shape necessary to be called a horn.
“It’s certain. This really is the horn of Terrahorn.”
“Eh, really? Uncle Taesan, you’re not lying again, are you?”
“I only do that sort of thing depending on the situation, you little rascal.”
Kang Taesan spoke with an expression that seemed to be a wry smile.
“It seems the magic must have produced an A-class output to reduce the horn to this state.”
Haruka’s eyes widened as she listened to Kang Tae-san’s serious words.
Then she swivelled her head sharply to look at the person responsible for this situation.
“Ga-eun-chan. Was it really A-class? You told me it was C-rank.”
“Well, technically, the rank is C-rank.”
“You’re lying. How on earth is this C-rank?”
“I didn’t realise it would be this powerful either.”
-Whoosh…….
Haruka stared intently at Ga-eun’s face with a sceptical look.
Ga-eun was flustered by Haruka’s intense gaze.
Well, she hadn’t known herself, after all.
She hadn’t even imagined it would be this devastating.
It was because she’d had no proper point of comparison when training with Babsae as usual.
[“No, is this my fault?”]
“I didn’t exactly put it like that.”
[“You just didn’t say it exactly like that, that’s all.”]
“Is that so?”
Exactly!
Bapsae, who had suddenly found herself being asked to take the blame, was genuinely baffled.
It was as if she’d saved someone from drowning only to be asked to hand over her belongings as well.
“Oh, come on, surely you didn’t really think that.”
[“You did think that a bit, didn’t you?”]
“It was half a joke, mind you.”
[“Nonsense.”]
So that means you were half serious, then.
I playfully smacked Ga-eun’s face with a look of utter bewilderment.
Be that as it may.
Ga-eun simply gave me a slight smile as she looked at me.
It was the sort of face anyone else would have found pretty and charming, but to me, it felt strangely irritating.

[Question] How strong is Terra Horn?
Posted by: Eungae Neune
(Meme of a frog tilting its head)
Eungae, I’m a total newbie
I was just zoning out watching YouTube when a Terra Horn video popped up,
and it looked pretty cool, so I kept watching it
In that video, they called it the ‘nightmare of B-rank hunters’,
but on the forum, people are saying that Terra Horn is just a piece of cake.
Which one is correct?
[Comments]
- Both are actually correct.
No way.
- How can Terra Horn be a piece of cake?
- The video is actually a bit more accurate
- Honestly, asking it like this makes it a bit ambiguous
Truely lol
- Fine, I’ll just make a new info post

The reason Terra Horn gets roasted on the forum for being rubbish is simple
All its attacks are too linear, making them easy to dodge
Terra Horn attacks by charging using its own body weight,
which makes it difficult to change direction
What’s more, there’s a warning pattern, so if you watch closely, it’s easy to react to.
So, if you just step slightly out of the charge’s path, you can dodge it easily.
So, does that mean you just need to watch carefully and dodge properly?
That’s true, actually.
But there’s a slight problem: Terra Horn is incredibly tough.
Its entire body is made of stone, so most attacks won’t even leave a scratch.
In gaming terms, it’s basically ‘no damage’.
So what should you do?
You just need someone in the party who can land effective hits.
As mentioned earlier, the attack pattern is simple,
so if you keep attacking, you’ll eventually take it down.
???: But what if there’s no one in the party who can deal damage?
Someone might ask this question.
The writer’s answer to this question is this:
‘Just run away.’
You’ll never beat it.
It’s similar to saying you can beat a boss with ‘0 damage’ in MapleStory.
Anyway, so what level do you need to be to actually deal any damage?
There may be individual differences, but generally speaking, Grade B is the absolute minimum.
Grades below that are a bit of a struggle.
Additional note)
Terra Horn has a horn on its forehead,
and it’s bloody hard as hell.
You literally can’t break Grade B ones no matter what,
and even amongst Grade A ones, only the ones that deal decent damage can break them reasonably well.
By the way, if you’ve taken down a Terahon, make sure to bring that horn back as loot.
It sells for a fortune at the Alchemy Guild or the Blacksmith’s Guild.
That’s all.

====================
A few days had passed since we’d defeated Terra Hon and successfully cleared the Gate.
I was just lying on the sofa as usual.
“It’s the phone.”
[“Ugh, I was sleeping so well…”]
“You can just go back to sleep.”
[“I suppose so…… Mmm, mmm……”]
As I lay peacefully taking a nap, I set off on another journey into the realm of dreams.
Ga-eun answered the call from Haruka.
“Ah, I’ve got it. Ga-eun-chan, hello?”
“Yes, I can hear you clearly.”
As soon as she answered, an energetic voice poured out of the speaker.
It was unmistakably Haruka’s voice, no matter who heard it.
“Wow, Ga-eun-chan. That was absolutely incredible the other day. To smash Terahon’s horn like that.”
“I was just a bit lucky.”
“It wasn’t the sort of thing that would break just because of luck……”
Haruka tilted her head in puzzlement at Ga-eun’s words.
Well… anyway.
That wasn’t why she’d phoned today, after all.
“You know those horn fragments we got from the Gate? They’ve been sold to the Blacksmiths’ Guild.”
“Ah, yes. ”
“So, we’ve been discussing amongst ourselves what to do with the proceeds.”
“Hmm, what did you decide?”
“Everyone reckoned it’d be best if you, Ga-eun-chan, kept the money.”
“Eh…?”
Ga-eun looked as though she couldn’t quite grasp what she’d just heard.
Although you couldn’t see them, it looked as though a few question marks had appeared above her head.
“Was there anyone who objected?”
“Huh? No, it was unanimous.”
Haruka said this in a tone that suggested it was only natural.
“Uncle Taesan and Uncle Baekhyun said they wouldn’t take any because they hadn’t done anything.”
“Ah, right. What about Seo-yoon, then?”
“Seo-yoon? Seo-yoon didn’t really care about that sort of thing; she just sort of agreed and went off to bed. She said it was a bother.”
“Hmm.”
Having heard everyone’s reactions, Ga-eun nodded in agreement.
Given Kang Tae-san and Song Baek-hyun’s personalities, it certainly seemed like they’d say something like that.
And Choi Seo-yoon, a patient suffering from chronic sleep deprivation, would probably say the same.
Although she hadn’t seen it for herself, she could picture the scene clearly.
“What about Haruka?”
“I’m all for it, of course. In fact, Ga-eun-chan did all the work, didn’t she?”
“But is it really all right to do that?”
“It’s fine, it’s fine. We got loads of magic stones from the rock insects this time, so everyone’s made a good profit from them.”
Haruka said this with a ‘hehe’ in her voice.
“Still, it’s not exactly a small sum.”
“Ahem, a refusal is a refusal.”
“Even so.”
“No way. I’ve already sorted it all out, so it’s too late to go back on it.”
Haruka was usually easy-going, but when it came to matters like this, she was quite strict.
“Hmm, is that because you’re Japanese?”
“Ah! That’s racism, that’s a prejudice!”
“So, is that not the case?”
“Well, that’s…”
Haruka seemed to ponder for a moment.
“Well, you’re right. Japanese people do place great importance on keeping their promises.”
“So isn’t that actually not a prejudice?”
“No way! That’s a bit different. It’s different. Probably.”
In the end, Haruka agreed with Ga-eun.
“Anyway! Don’t be surprised if Ga-eun-chan suddenly needs some money.”
“Well then, how about we use this money for an after-party?”
“Ugh, Ga-eun-chan’s more persistent than I thought.”
Ga-eun was determined to split the money she’d received one way or another, but…
“But, that’s a shame. I don’t think we’ll be able to have an after-party as everyone’s busy.”
“Ah……”
“Seo-yoon-chan said she’s going to bed so she won’t be coming, Mr Taesan’s busy, and I’m busy too, so I probably won’t be able to go either.”
Upon hearing the party members’ situations, Ga-eun looked disappointed.
“Just go ahead and write it without worrying. Everyone’s agreed, haven’t they?”
“I know, but…”
“Oh, come on, why not take this opportunity to go on a trip? The holidays are drawing to a close anyway.”
A trip, eh.
That might not be a bad idea.
“I’ll think about it.”
