Academy in the Chastity Reversed World (1)
In the end, I headed to school without deciding on anything.
‘So what the hell do I even start with?’
Even though I’d possessed this body, I didn’t have the power to change the world. The only option was to act like the original owner.
If the kid sitting next to you suddenly changed one day, someone was bound to get suspicious.
Besides, with zero abilities in this body, my chances of survival were close to zero.
‘I need to recall as much of the original owner’s memories as possible.’
I sifted through the jumbled fragments, piecing together his daily routines to reconstruct the personality of the person called Lee Sihyun.
A quiet kid who barely spoke, always lurking in the back and just watching others. The gloomy type.
His appearance was hidden behind messy bangs that covered his eyes, a downward gaze, and a slouched shrimp-like posture. Fix those, and he was actually a seriously handsome guy.
If only his personality had been a little brighter, he might have passed for one of those fake loners who pretend to be outsiders on purpose. But Lee Sihyun wasn’t like that.
‘If I simplify it… in the original world he’d be a gloomy male loner. Here, I guess he’s a gloomy male incel?’
At least in this world, being a loner or a weirdo wasn’t automatically a negative trait.
It was actually fascinating that, from a woman’s perspective, a quiet, gloomy guy could be someone’s type.
“Everything really does change when just chastity gets reversed.”
The standards had flipped so drastically just from swapping gender roles that it was hard to wrap my head around.
Thinking about how I had to reverse every single behavior based on gender made my brain short-circuit.
Assuming I moved exactly as the original did, I’d go to school like always, sit at the very back, keep my head down studying, occasionally attend practical training, and quietly read books…
‘Why the hell did this guy even come to the Academy?’
No matter how I thought about it, the original owner would’ve been far more comfortable somewhere else.
He had no talent for fighting either, so focusing purely on academics would’ve suited him perfectly.
“So… how much should I sell it for?”
Acting was important, but there was something far more critical.
I needed to seriously calculate the optimal, safest price to sell my virginity.
‘If I set it too high I’ll look like a greedy bastard. If I set it too low I’ll just be a cheap male whore.’
On my way to school that morning, I realized there were way more beautiful girls at the Academy than I’d expected.
Honestly, I was the one who wanted to pay to buy them. But in this world, men were the ones selling sex.
That meant I could sell my virginity to one of those stunning women at a high price.
And if I was lucky, I might even get to take their virginity in return.
“Hey, I heard you confessed yesterday and got rejected? Pfft, are you actually stupid?”
“Shut up… you know people can hear you, right?”
“I don’t caaare~ That’s why you shouldn’t create your own dark history. So, you going to karaoke after school today?”
“I don’t know… I’m probably just gonna drink in the dorm tonight.”
“If you’re bored at night, call me. I’ll drink with you.”
A group was chatting loudly from the front row.
‘One of them is average, but the other is seriously pretty.’
I observed the blonde girl who was chattering away, ignoring the gloomy-looking one beside her.
She had a side-tail braided to one side, sharp eyes, and prominent fangs that gave her the vibe of a female fox.
The classic tsundere type—prickly but full of mischief.
“Should I go for her?”
She seemed to have a lot of friends around her too. Looked like one of the popular girls with influence in this class.
‘Then I guess I should fix up my appearance a bit.’
Obviously, if you’re trying to seduce someone, you have to start with yourself.
I straightened my slouched back and neck, tidied the bangs covering my eyes, and raised my success rate even if only by a little.
And then, by chance, my eyes met the tsundere girl’s.
“Huh?”
I softened my gaze, gave her a gentle smile, and waved. Her face seemed to flush slightly.
‘Okay. That definitely worked.’
Whether she had a boyfriend didn’t matter. What mattered was whether she felt attracted to me.
Feeling confident, I started looking forward to what would happen next.
***
Before long, class began. Everyone quickly returned to their seats as if someone had flipped an hourglass.
I watched the professor energetically teaching at the front for a moment, but eventually boredom won and I turned to stare out the window.
‘I want a boyfriend.’
My name is Kwon Seolhyeon. It had been a long time since I’d internalized the formula: chronic solo = me.
I’d believed that coming to the Academy would bring me a springtime romance, but spring never arrived for me.
“Ugh… I’m so fucking jealous.”
“Um, Seolhyeon?”
“Hm?”
While I was drowning in self-pity over my pathetic life, a male voice pulled me out of it.
There stood an incredibly handsome guy I’d rarely seen before, talking to me.
‘Was someone like him… in our class?’
Gulp. I swallowed the saliva that had naturally pooled in my mouth.
My eyes instinctively drifted to his face and began analyzing him in detail.
Neat yet elegant black hair, a sharp nose, large expressive eyes, and features that were both cute and sharp.
Moreover, there was no disgust or contempt in the way he looked at me.
“Excuse me, I don’t have my textbook today. Could I look at yours with you?”
“Ah, uh. Sure, no problem.”
Scrape. He pulled the chair over and sat beside me.
“Sniff… mm?”
The scent that naturally wrapped around me tickled my nose and completely captured my attention.
‘Lavender? Or juniper berry? It smells amazing.’
“Sorry, Seolhyeon, right? What page are we on today?”
“Ah, I’ll open it for you. Just wait a second.”
Get a grip, Kwon Seolhyeon. Acting all flustered just because a guy talked to you will make people think you’re pathetic.
But the power of the boy sitting next to me was simply too overwhelming.
I couldn’t tell if he was trying to seduce me or if it was just coincidence, but the way he looked up at me with that bright smile had an insane effect.
Something I’d only ever read about in romance novels was actually happening to me. I could feel something stirring inside my chest.
“So today we’re looking at this part… mmph!”
“You mean from here?”
“Uh… yeah…”
The more he leaned in, the more the skin hidden beneath his uniform was revealed.
Just a little more. Just a little more. I cheered internally as I waited.
He lowered his head, and along with his pale neck, even more bare skin came into view.
‘I could die happy right now…’
For a virgin like me, this kind of stimulation was absolute torture.
“Thanks for helping me, Seolhyeon.”
“Ah…”
The final blow was the faint smile he gave me, as if he were trying to hook me completely.
The name tag on his chest read Lee Sihyun.
‘Sihyun… Even his name is pretty.’
I didn’t know there was a guy like him in our class, but maybe spring had finally come for me too.
The boring lecture somehow turned into an exciting romance movie.
When break time came, he left me and returned to his own seat.
‘That’s a shame.’
I still didn’t know why Sihyun had approached me, but once his warm body heat and scent disappeared, I just felt disappointed.
I wanted to say something to him, but we weren’t close.
Still, my eyes kept drifting toward him. I was watching him diligently writing something when suddenly—
‘It looks like a letter… Why is he…’
He slipped a piece of paper into an envelope he must have bought from the school store, then headed to the empty seat in front of him.
Making sure no one was watching, he quickly dropped the letter on someone’s desk and hurried back to his own seat, where he immediately flopped down.
I instinctively knew what that action meant.
‘It’s a love letter…’
And just like that, my first love as Kwon Seolhyeon was shattered in less than a day.
By the girl known as the popular one in our class—Oh Yerin.
***
‘I slipped the letter in. Will she actually come?’
It was an old-fashioned method, but leaving the fewest traces possible was the safest.
‘There weren’t many witnesses, and I just asked her to come, so there shouldn’t be any weird rumors.’
Even if she tore it up, from an outside perspective I’d just be another male student who failed at confessing.
I praised my own brilliant mind for coming up with such a perfect, reliable way to summon someone.
‘So… now what?’
Once I’d secretly hidden the letter, I suddenly had nothing to do.
Just because the world had changed didn’t mean people’s lives got randomly rewritten.
The original owner of this body was a loner with no friends, so naturally I had no one to talk to either.
That meant there was only one thing I could do while I waited.
Figure out how this damn world actually worked by searching on my phone.
I pulled out a smartphone with cracks spiderwebbing across its screen and started browsing the internet.
As expected, the surface-level news wasn’t all that shocking even with the genders reversed.
‘Hunter stuff is interesting though… I guess it means people who hunt monsters in dungeons?’
The Hunter Studies class I’d taken all day was probably teaching the basics needed to become one of those hunters.
They trained ability users to become talents that would strengthen the nation.
That was the entire purpose of this Academy’s existence, and likely why Lee Sihyun had ended up here.
‘But do they have communities here too?’
Even if the world had changed, the dark corners of the internet probably still existed everywhere.
I had no idea that this curiosity would drag me straight into the abyss.
‘Fuck.’
Looked like even if the world changed, there were still plenty of idiots.
