Final Author's Note
Hello, this is CommonerLife.
With the just-uploaded Chapter 131, The Returning Hero Fucked Them All has officially come to an end.
While writing this final episode, I was filled with anxiety. What if lots of readers feel like the ending is too abrupt? That worry only grew stronger.
Originally conceived as a 50-chapter short story, The Returning Hero Fucked Them All was planned to wrap up by defeating the villains, subjugating the succubi, and paying homage to the ending of my first work.
I'd intended to start building toward the finale around Chapters 25-28, during the "No Dry Days for the Pussy-Packed Futanari Cock" arc... but it ended up far more popular than I'd imagined. I got greedy without realizing it, doubled down on the sex scenes I thought were driving the popularity, and let the story progression fall by the wayside.
Part of me wonders if I should've stretched it out a bit more with extra sex and childbirth scenes, but I knew dragging the novel out any further would've been a mistake, so I decided to end it here.
This story was something I impulsively brainstormed last August after finishing my second novel. I wrote a few chapters before eventually shelving it.
After that, I tried writing several more novels but hit a slump. Around late October, I thought, "I can't keep wasting time like this—let's just write something, whether it works or not," and picked up this very first idea again. That's when it hit massive milestones like 5,000 favorites and 500,000 views.
None of that would've been possible without all you readers who stuck with my novel. Thank you so much. Really... thank you.
This is my third completion afterword, and like always, I have so much I want to say but can't quite capture it all in words—it's frustrating every time.
I always wish there were a way to convey my exact thoughts to you perfectly...
The main story ends here, but I plan to tackle some side stories for elements I never fully explored: Botaebae Yasuna, the April Fool's episode I wanted to drop (but couldn't because Novelpia warns that posting erotica in announcements gets you banned!) about Sia's first time with a woman, the Earth-transfer arc with Goddess Amelia and the oft-mentioned saintess that drove a ton of early traffic, and more.
These side stories should start rolling out slowly sometime after mid-May.
