Trap Blitz!
Thud-! Clutching Plona tightly, Hanbit sped through the safe zone.
“Whoa!” The girl’s eyes widened in shock at the unfamiliar sensation. Meanwhile, Hanbit focused on the wind gathering around his sword. Let’s get through safely.
One final section remained—the most dangerous trap passage. He couldn’t guarantee Plona’s safety by slipping through like before.
Swoosh— As the end of the safe zone came into view, Hanbit concentrated on the sword in his right hand. Precision was key now. He had to neutralize the traps while preserving the passage’s basic shape.
Thud-! He halted, twisting his body into position. The moment intense power surged into his sword grip—
Shriek-! The blade arced through the air.
Krraaack-! The sharply formed wind blasted fiercely through the cavern. Ceilings and walls crumbled along its path, collapsing in ruins. All that remained was a newly carved space, sloping gently.
“Gonna run faster now. You good?”
“I’m good! I’ll hold on tight…!”
Whoosh-! Before she could finish, his body launched forward. The unexpected speed drew a scream from the timid Plona.
“Waaahhh!”
Shriek-! Hanbit pushed his speed to the limit using Wind Movement. And the reason soon appeared behind the passage they’d just cleared.
Crack-! Kraaack-! Worn spear tips burst from the ceiling, screeching as they plunged toward the floor. Some traps couldn’t be destroyed by external attacks. But the collapsed passage blocked them, letting sheer speed prevail.
“B-behind…! Kyaaahhh!”
Plona’s gaze locked backward as she shrieked at the falling traps. The viewers watching alongside her were just as flustered.
-WTF lololol
-Beating the trap section like this?
-You can just smash through?
-Nah, tons tried that and the whole passage collapsed.
-Then what’s this?
-Insane af.
The wildly unexpected bypass threw the chat into chaos.
Thud-! Hanbit kept his eyes forward, never breaking stride. After what felt like an eternity to the audience—dozens of seconds later—they reached the passage exit.
At that instant.
Screeech-! A grotesque screech echoed as rusted blades flew in from both sides. Hanbit dropped into a low stance simultaneously.
Clang-! The two blades clashed and crossed in the air above his head.
“Gasp!”
Plona, dazed from the speed, swallowed hard at the sudden peril. But Hanbit had already pivoted, thrusting his sword upward and right.
Stab-! The blade pierced leather with a sickening feel.
Gurk-! The ambushing goblin couldn’t comprehend it. It had swung first, yet its throat was already skewered. Its weapon merely sliced empty air.
Splurt-! Hanbit yanked the sword free and spun left.
[Goblin (Lv.24)]
Kieeeek-! Another goblin charged with a wail at its comrade’s pathetic death. Hanbit read its simple swing and pivoted lightly on one foot.
Whoosh-! The brute-force strike veered off wildly. As its balance crumbled, Hanbit’s sword slashed across its throat.
Splurt-! Blood sprayed into the air as the goblin collapsed.
The lightning-fast sequence stunned everyone but Hanbit.
“Huh…?”
-Holy shit.
-Thought it was just ambushes.
-What’s that reaction speed?
-Lv.24 goblins. Lol.
-Ends with one poke?
-Instant kill WTF lmao.
Plona blinked in a daze, and the viewers reeled in shock. The reason was simple: damage maximized by piercing vital spots. For Hanbit, forged in endless battles, it was basic hunting.
“Hold tight. We’re going.”
“O-okay! I’ll hold on…!”
Thud-! Again, he surged forward before she finished.
The new area was a massive chamber with walls twisting up to the ceiling in a labyrinthine maze.
-Maze king’s here tho.
-Black Dragon wasting time here? Big if true.
-Fr, even guides take forever.
-So damn confusing lol.
This section had a notorious rep too, shifting the chat’s vibe. They anticipated Black Dragon screaming at dead ends.
Rumble- As they crossed the threshold, the path behind sealed shut. Hanbit pressed on without a glance back.
Thud-! Ahead branched several paths, their uneven floors screaming trap.
-Oh, he’s running.
-Didn’t check the guide?
-Lol 3 secs to death.
-Bye~
Traps riddled the area. Viewers expected disaster as Hanbit charged.
But he defied them.
Thud-! He leaped high, planting a foot on the nearest wall. Just before gravity pulled him down, he kicked off again.
“Eeeek!”
Wall-to-wall hopping freaked Plona out; her arms clamped tighter around his neck.
-?
-What’s this?
-Wall-running now? Lol.
-Bypass god tier.
[TrapLord donated 1,000 won.]
[Get down here lol.]
Amid the frenzy, Hanbit kept bounding across walls. Even in the twisting maze, his altitude climbed steadily. Floor traps lay dormant below.
There.
After more walls, he spotted a gap in the right path: smooth floor beyond the rough traps. He kicked off hard toward it.
Thud-! His body soared across the void. Plona had her eyes squeezed shut, clinging desperately.
Tap-! Hanbit landed lightly on target. Just steps ahead loomed the treacherous rough zone—now bypassed trivially.
Predictably, viewers exploded.
-Whoa, shortcut szn;
-Straight chaos lololol.
-Shut up you path-memorizers.
-Memorized the whole thing?
-Nah, early part’s easy.
-Dead end soon.
-Won’t work anymore.
-This is a dungeon.
They assumed he’d memorized just the entrance. Wrong, but Hanbit knew this was a dungeon too.
Grrk-! A noise nearby. Over the next wall, three goblins blocked a narrowed passage.
[Goblin Archer (Lv.25)]
[Goblin Archer (Lv.25)]
[Goblin Warrior (Lv.26)]
Keegik-! Spotting prey, they advanced: axe-wielding warrior up front, archers aiming from behind.
Twang-! Archers drew and targeted first. Hanbit closed on the warrior without slowing.
Whoosh-! It swung its axe wide on cue.
Clang-! Hanbit deflected minimally and slipped inside its guard.
Stab-! Kieeek-! Throat pierced, the warrior dropped its axe, eyes bulging.
“Eep!”
Plona now covered her eyes in Hanbit’s arms, relying on sounds alone.
Twang-! The archers had been aiming throughout. But the pierced warrior blocked their shot.
They exchanged panicked glances, trying to spread out. Hanbit withdrew his hand from the warrior’s flank.
“Fire Burst.”
Fwoosh-! A massive fireball rocketed toward them at blinding speed.
Too late when they spotted the blaze.
Boom-! Kieeeek-! The explosion twisted their bodies amid screams.
Hanbit didn’t watch the end, kicking off again.
Splurt-! Boom-! More goblins fell to sword and spell. Wind gathered on the blade, but now wasn’t the time.
“Uuuuh……”
Plona buried her face in his chest, terrified but enduring.
-No blocks at all?
-Goblins melting ez.
-Not even hitting him. WTF lol.
-Could save Plona all along?
-Halfway done?
-Past 70%.
-Carrying her is insane.
Blazing speed and one-shot goblins repeated, bewildering viewers. Normally, maze dead-ends spawned hordes for a bloodbath. Most who brought Plona out of pity failed here—a infamous stretch.
Splurt-! Hanbit’s dash with girl in arms showed no sign of slowing, Wind Movement conquering stamina limits.
Last one.
His eyes fixed on the final path.
[Goblin Gatekeeper (Lv.28)]
[Goblin Gatekeeper (Lv.29)]
Two guarded the exit: bulkier, bigger weapons, thicker armor—clearly elites. But their dumb brute looks were the key.
Shh- Hanbit hugged the wall, creeping closer. At the corner—
Thud-! He exploded forward, closing distance instantly.
Grrk-! Caught off-guard, they hesitated, then swung late.
That beat decided it.
Splurt-! Blades still arcing, his sword sliced nimbly.
Gurk-! Blood gushed from throats; both goblins gurgled and fell.
Hanbit stepped on their backs, exiting. He glanced at the timer above.
[18:10]
A bit late.
Carrying Plona slowed him; he’d cleared every goblin to avoid stray hits that could kill.
One hurdle left: the boss.
-Huh?
-Took longer than thought?
-Good he cleared mobs.
-Fail incoming.
-Believed in him.
-1st? Lol not even top 10.
Viewers saw the time and called failure. No way to kill the boss in 2 minutes.
“U-um… we good now?”
Plona asked timidly from his arms.
“Yeah. Setting you down.”
He placed the now-open-eyed girl down and eyed the massive door ahead. Inside: Elder Goblin, the boss with devastating AoE magic.
This’ll do.
Wind amassed on his sword—different from before, built steadily in the maze.
Whoosh-! Sylph, sensing his intent, compressed her wind close to the blade’s surface.
A spirit-affinity sword would’ve been ideal, but this sufficed.
“Wait here a sec.”
“O-okay!”
Plona, marveling at the maze behind, turned and nodded.
Whoosh-! Fierce wind pulsed from his sword.
[19:17]
Viewers’ eyes darted between screen and timer.
Rumble- His hand on the door triggered it open. Hanbit tensed his legs.
As the Elder Goblin emerged—
Thud-! He blitzed forward at insane speed.
[Boss: Elder Goblin (Lv.30)]
“Hmmm.”
The boss, alerted via entrance wards, leisurely raised its staff.
[19:19]
“Filthy intruder, you shall suffer a painful dea—”
Whoosh-! Its warning cut off. The intruder was before it in a blink.
Astonishing speed. But irrelevant.
[19:21]
Crack-! The mana shield guarding the Elder Goblin—meant to hold through its AoE—split perfectly under the intruding blade.
[19:22]
“Wait…!”
Shatter-! Its panicked cry drowned in glass-like shards.
Then.
“Die.”
Stab-! Wind-wrapped blade pierced its skull.
[19:24]
