Snow Drake Raid Recruitment
“Snow Drake raid team recruitment?”
In the Galaxy Guild headquarters near the Raven capital, a guild member sitting in the meeting room asked with a puzzled look.
“Yeah. There's a post on Astra, so I'm thinking of applying.”
The kind-faced human addressed everyone, conveying his decision. It was the pioneer Odin from the vanguard team.
“You don't mean that raid team floating around in RP rumors? The one Luna's putting together?”
A woman listening alongside asked. Frigia from the vanguard team. She hadn't heard the details since she wasn't in Astra.
“Can't say much. It specifically says not to leak the details.”
“Even if you don't say, it's already all over. They say the main rewards all go straight to Black Dragon? So the raid leader's gotta be Black Dragon too, handling distribution personally, right?”
“A-all the rewards?”
“That make any sense?”
The guild members who hadn't known widened their eyes in shock. The man before them was Pioneer Odin. One of the few top talents across all of RP. Imagining him tackling a boss under Black Dragon was absurd.
“Think about your position. At least negotiate with Black Dragon... or Luna.”
“My position's just a player. I made Galaxy Guild to gather folks to enjoy RP together. No intention of slapping authority on it.”
Odin shook his head firmly. Frigia, who had expected that response, sighed.
“Haa. Knowing you mean every word just gives me a headache.”
This pure-hearted guy had been with her since the game launched. Usually, power corrupts, but the more famous Odin got, the humbler he became. And he wasn't lacking confidence—no, far from it. He enjoyed getting stronger, took pride in his efforts and results. A perfect guild master.
“How'd Odin end up volunteering like this?”
“We get the Ifrit episode reset chance, right? Even without that, we cleared a hidden zone thanks to Black Dragon's info. Gotta lend a hand.”
“...Yeah, sure.”
Frigia shook her head in resignation. No changing Odin's mind anyway.
“I'm against it, bro.”
Then, a burly man who'd been quietly listening rumbled in a low voice.
“Our Galaxy leader getting that kind of treatment? Doesn't make sense. That raid couldn't even form. No way proud pioneers would serve under some random player.”
“Helbert, don't say reckless shit like that. No one's got the right to trash others.”
Odin firmly corrected his guild member's mistake.
The man receiving that gaze quickly composed himself. “Sorry. That was out of line.”
“Thanks for understanding. And the raid will form perfectly. It's not just me who wants in.”
“Huh? You know who applied? Astra members are probably all mid-tier or higher...”
The surprised man widened his eyes. But Odin just grinned and stood.
“You'll see later.”
***
“Odin applied too.”
In a short meeting with broadcast muted, Luna suddenly spoke up while sifting through applicants. Unlike with Haemu, her reaction was flat.
“Odin?”
“You saw the hidden zone interview, right? He's exactly like that—feels like he wants to repay Black Dragon's favor.”
“...Ah.”
The good vibes from the interview. Him applying for the raid made her want to chat with him for real.
“This should do it. Normal field boss raids are 30 people, so I picked 22 for now. Rapina's scouting too.”
After a few more minutes, Luna finalized the rough raid comp. Twenty-five total including Hanbit, Luna, and Rapina. Reserves picked for flexibility.
For the record, Avant-garde flat-out refused, saying he couldn't contribute with his strength. He'd join after Snow Drake subjugation, since he had other stuff to do.
“Thanks. Was getting stuck, but you made assembling the team easy.”
“No biggie. Lucky so many solid applicants.”
She forwarded the list and messaged Hanbit. Mostly names he'd seen digging info.
Mars?
The shield pioneer from Snow Drake's fortress. Caught in Hanbit's plan, but didn't seem the vengeful type.
Blood's... not here.
The pioneer who'd teamed with Mars. Last seen charging at Hanbit in rage. Didn't apply? Or filtered out for attitude?
“But really, Haemu okay?”
Luna voiced concern again. Unpredictable guy, but manageable if he just joined the raid.
“Even weakened, Snow Drake needs a top pioneer. Like I said, I can handle raid drama.”
“That sounds fun in its own way... but expect twice the weirdness you imagine. Anyway, time's up?”
Luna checked her watch, wrapping up. Exactly 30 minutes since dropping off the sword.
“Stay here. Be right back.”
Hanbit headed inside to Workshop 15. Kim Jaeha waited, sword in hand, cleanup done.
“Quick work.”
“Just melting spirit stone. Stats bumped overall though. It had mineral properties too.”
“Really?”
Unexpected. Hanbit inspected the handed-over sword.

-Dwarf hooked it up.
-Earth spirit... gotta contract it?
-How tho;
-Spirit affinity up 70 mid-fuckin-where. lol
-When sound back on......
-Hang in there.
The spirit stone from the dwarf was prime material all around. Too spirit-heavy for Jaeha to push further. But melting it perfectly into the sword set him apart from average smiths.
“Thanks, hyung. I'll put it to good use.”
“Save the thanks. Grab good mats soon. I'll make it even better.”
One goal Jaeha set after Dwarf Blacksmithing: Turn Black Dragon's sword into RP's best. Still shaky from low rank and experience, but resolve was ironclad.
“Got some fun mats coming soon. Hit you up then.”
“Waiting. Gonna crash now—call if shit hits.”
“Good work. Rest up.”
With that, Jaeha's character vanished. Hanbit opened mail, attached 5 million gold, and sent with note for smithing gear/mats.
Out of the workshop, back outside. Luna still leaned against the wall, eyeing the list.
“Gonna finish prep. You?”
“I'll help. Ifrit stalled, got time.”
“You sure? Pioneer time's valuable.”
“Ah, that?”
Recalling Bestige chat, Luna got it and shrugged.
“High value, sure. But up to how you use it. I'm basically independent anyway.”
“...Aren't you with Yeonhwa Gaming? Heard your sister's CEO.”
“Loose blood ties. Like I said, ignore her calls.”
Luna grinned mischievously. Hanbit had all contacts routed to Yeonwoo now. He'd relay anything important.
“Can I hear about the selected raiders?”
“Of course. One by one.”
“Thanks. Eyes everywhere—move spots?”
Hanbit nodded at nosy players who'd crept close enough to eavesdrop.
“Voice chat?”
“Voice?”
“Ears everywhere. Sending my number—call me.”
With that, Luna logged out. Leaking raid info early was bad. Selections meant passes/fails locked. Selected pioneers would dominate communities all day.
Hanbit unmuted: “Gotta head early today. Prep well—see you tomorrow night.”
-Huh?
-Bullshit.
-Cuz of the lurkers?
-Go beat 'em with pipes?
-We got you.
Viewers raged, spotting his wariness. Not wrong, but muting all broadcast was weird too.
“Legit tons to prep. See ya tomorrow.”
-gg
-Dragon best.
-Chicken tomorrow.
-Subjugation gonna slap?
-Can't wait.
-bb
Hanbit logged off, chat flooding. Memorized Luna's number from message, called right away.
Standard ringtone, then her voice over phone speaker.
(Black Dragon, right?)
Luna's tone oddly upbeat.
“Yeah. Thanks for making time.”
(Never skip the thanks. Dad'd love you.)
She laughed amusedly. Hard to believe that "dad" was Yeonhwa Group chairman.
“Owe you, so manners matter. Start now?”
(Time to burn—chat first. Curious if Yeonhwa chairman licks Yoplait lids?)
“...Yoplait lids?”
Sudden dad quiz. Kinda curious now.
“Probably not.”
(Wrong—'eats them.' Sis tried tossing one, he got mad serious.)
Unexpected answer kicked off trivial banter. Zero game relation.
(This is more fun than I thought.)
Nearly 30 minutes later, small talk wrapped. Satisfied, Luna sent a video link.
(First raider then?)
