Internet Broadcasting Debut!
BAM! The sound of a fist slamming down on the desk echoed through the room.
"Why! Why am I losing again!"
"Th-this can't be... I'm the greatest talent in Terra's history... LeoRida is child's play for me..."

How's she supposed to beat people who grinded games every day while she was in another world lol
Ok Davin, who had boldly declared she'd crush internet broadcasting for easy money! After a few days of research, she fired up her stream on Korea's biggest platform, SpellOn.
Davin glanced awkwardly at the camera and cleared her throat. "Ahem... Can you see me?"
The rare status of an unknown returnee from another world drew viewers in droves. Davin gave a brief rundown of her return story.
"Ah, there was a bit of an issue during the return process. My gender swapped, so I shortened it to Octavia, but the investigator made me change it to a Korean name. So now it's Ok Davin."
"Mock me not!"
And so Davin spilled tales of Terra to hook the viewers, then proudly launched a game... only to hit a skill wall she'd never felt even in Terra.
"Argh! Next game! I'm good at aim!"
She switched to an FPS, but the results were the same.
This won't do... I was supposed to dominate with overwhelming skill, become a pro gamer, and bask in the cheers and praise—that was the dream I harbored in Terra...
Smack! Davin slapped her own cheek hard. She stood from her chair, hands on hips, and bellowed.
"No time to hesitate! On to the next game!"
Hmph. A baseless surge of confidence welled up from the depths of Davin's heart.
"Alright, chat's done. Time for games. Today, I've brought a strategy one!"
"Today's game is! Ri:Empire! Perfect for showing off my brilliant strategies."
Ri:Empire was a real-time strategy sim where you commanded Hume tribes to build an empire.
"I hear it's a strategy game where you respond swiftly to all sorts of real-time variables!"
"Tribe name... Neo Roma. Now, time for interviews! Make Rome great again!"
"Hey! Watch your dangerous words!"
Clicking 'Create New Tribe' switched the screen to three Humes gathered around a campfire, each with a status window beside them. Davin felt dizzy at the dense text.
"Why so much info... Traits? Skills? Personality? I need advice..."
Scanning the chat, Davin's eyes stopped.
"Wait, how do 'rear guard' and 'mage' coexist?"
"Of course!"
Staring at the stunned chat, Davin declared proudly.
"A mage is one who crushes foes and survives using every spell at their disposal, front or back be damned!"
"A mage aspires to be the strongest being on earth!—"

yo I'm standing up for this
Davin smirked smugly. "No mercy for weaklings who can't even beat swordsmen one-on-one. You didn't seriously think returnees couldn't handle that much?"

Shield up teleport away what can melee scrubs do but charge blindly
"Huh?"
Davin sensed something off. A chill ran up her spine. Sweating coldly, she spoke.
"No way... Swordsmen draw at Mach speeds on eye contact, and even if you teleport away, one kick and their blade's at your throat... That only happens in Terra?"
Davin, realizing the world's truth after 14 years, slid slowly from her chair.
"Unfair... so unfair..."

Wait then how'd YOU survive? Doesn't make sense I'm a mage too and can't wrap my head around it
"I was a killing machine! Acceleration, body enhancement, multi-cast weren't enough, so I learned martial arts just to survive those bastards!"

??? Beat melee specs like that in close quarters? Even with equal realms?
Davin snapped back to reality and eyed the monitor. Her stunningly beautiful face was unchanged, but her red hair was disheveled from huffing—looking rather pitiful.
"Ahem... Once I pass the Response Agency exam, I'll show you my level. But first! Proof via Ri:Empire."
She clicked 'Highest Difficulty' right away.
Using the reroll tip from chat, Davin hammered the button and locked in one Hume.
"High mana affinity and brawling stats. Traits: 'Innate Dynamic Vision' for evasion boost, 'Chantless' for skipping chants at reduced range. Perfect mage material!"
She renamed the mage Hume 'Octavia.' Melee to Octavianus, so the rest got archery traits. Locked in internal affairs Hume and scout/support, then hit start.
"Uh, how do I build..."
After trial and error, Davin managed an early base.
"Nation name... 'Neo Roma'."
Dong- Dong- Dong- A heavy thud—the raid alert.
Your base has been detected by a nearby group!
Four enemy Humes: muscular men in faded, ragged martial robes.
Martial Outlaws appeared!
Ding! A quest alert popped up, and text appeared over the least ragged one.
Dang Hyeok-un: How dare you settle beside our turf. Hand over all food, and you might live.
The screen panned right with a gleam, revealing the enemy's imposing walled base.
The playfulness vanished from Davin's eyes. "How dare you? You're the mad one, sword monkey."
No pause button—Ri:Empire's charm was real-time response to threats. Fittingly, the outlaws split into pairs, flanking 'Neo Roma.' They brazenly approached the flimsy wooden palisade without hiding, as if scorning it.
"Amateurish." Davin sneered. "No cover, breaking formation to isolate themselves. How much do they underestimate me? Strike the nearest group."
"...Hold on." About to command the approaching foes, Davin zoomed out the battlefield.
"Hah... You can't see it? This path."
Without hesitation, Davin slapped a move command on the enemy base. The flanking foes pursued late, missing by a hair as the gates shut.
"Base swap! Breach the base you toiled to build! If you can!"
A beat of silence, then chat exploded.
