Chapter 39
CHAPTER_39: #13. The Mask (1)
“Heheek!”
“Kruhu, that guy’s dick is seriously fucked up... Well, it’s not reacting to mine, but whatever, can’t help it.”
Yu Dahui looked like she’d seen something she absolutely shouldn’t have and started choking back sobs. Her trembling gaze had lingered far too long on my crotch. I could tell the shaking eyes were screaming that she was panicking hard.
“Uwk.”
Her reaction only made Byungcheol’s energy spike even higher. He slowly closed in, and the three men behind him looked like they’d just chugged twelve bottles of soju. My stomach turned. I wanted to puke.
“Why the hell...!”
No matter what, Yu Dahui pointed at me with eyes overflowing with shame. The way she pointed and flushed her face was pure comedy—exactly like a burglar who’d pissed himself by accident.
“Do you know me?”
I asked her in a low voice.
“Of course I know you, you bastard!”
Three naked guys, a half-naked masked man, and two women. A straight-up AV scene. My eyes almost bugged out of my head.
“Just put the knife down. You’ll be much better if you let him fuck you properly?”
“Fuck off. You idiot.”
Yu Dahui snapped back to normal the second Byungcheol spoke. She slashed at him with her sword.
Clang—!
“You actually swing it? You fucking bitch, I’ll kill you slowly all day today.”
An invisible barrier popped up around Byungcheol. The white bald guy lit up with flames, the short guy with the shield, and Byungcheol himself was riding pure horniness. The trio’s synergy was shockingly good. They’d clearly fought together from the very first floor.
They pulled weapons out of their inventories, too. These bastards were seriously planning to fight us head-on.
“Even if it hurts, don’t scream, okay?”
“Yeah, you idiot. Don’t ask me to save your sorry ass.”
Yu Dahui warned the group with a face full of tension. Lee Su-yeon was already far away, just watching the show.
[Life force is being drained.]
Effect:Gaining power from the target.
I naturally absorbed her life force. Lee Su-yeon couldn’t hold on to her collapsing body and collapsed into the corner. No one gave a single fuck about her death. Everyone was too busy focusing on each other to spare her a glance.
Clang—!
Shield and spear collided. The cramped space turned into pure chaos.
“Y-you fucking bitch...! Why is she so strong...?!”
“Fucking degenerate.”
Byungcheol was starting to lose ground against Yu Dahui’s offense. The Yu Dahui right now was nothing like the one in the novel. The novel Yu Dahui had barely made it onto the bus. This Yu Dahui had almost solo’d a dark knight to reach the top.
“Kyaak...!”
“This bitch!”
A huge gash opened up on Byungcheol’s body as he kept getting pushed back. The bald guy from behind hesitated, then his excitement hit a peak and he triggered his super ability. Flames erupted inside the narrow room.
“Wait...!”
Whoosh—.
BOOM—!
The flames shot straight at Yu Dahui. She raised her shield and blocked most of it, but the shockwave still shattered every window in the room and set off alarms that screamed like crazy.
Whyyyyyy—!
“What the fuck...!”
This was going to ruin my entire plan. In the script, Byungcheol’s group was supposed to pin Yu Dahui down enough for her to take fatal damage, then I’d come in late, cry over her corpse. Then the mental magic would mess up her mind so the masked guy would be seen as a separate existence from me.
But why were they doing so badly? No matter how strong Yu Dahui was, she wasn’t on the level to toy with Byungcheol’s group. She was slightly below average. That was where she was supposed to be. Then why...?
“It’s because of me?”
I’d drained her life force before the fight. I’d pulled it out at the perfect moment for the mental magic, and the tiny difference had made Byungcheol completely useless.
Yu Dahui glared at Byungcheol and let out a cold, pure laugh. One hundred percent mockery. Ah, I was still rock hard.
“You idiots. Other people are going to come soon. Can you handle them?”
“Kyu...! Just rush her, guys!”
Byungcheol’s group panicked for a second, then charged at Yu Dahui. The white bald guy and the short guy dropped defense completely and joined the attack. If that was the case, I had to speed things up. Otherwise I couldn’t fulfill the script and return.
“The masked guy... this bastard...!”
“Psychic Magic activated. Generating the masked guy’s image and deploying him into battle.”
Yu Dahui spat at the latecomer masked man. In theory it was impossible, but with Byungcheol’s arousal and the drug’s effects, I could still make it look convincing.
“Hurry...!”
While the masked guy stabbed, I ran to the bathroom, took off the mask, and changed back into my original clothes. Perfect timing for bursting in right now.
[Life force is being drained.]
Effect:Gaining power from the target.
├─ Tier 1:Basic body enhancement ✓
├─ Tier 2:Advanced body enhancement ✓
└─ Tier 3:Slight increase in strength and speed — UNLOCKED ★
I absorbed the life force of the white bald guy and the short guy, then used psychic magic to boost Byungcheol a bit. Same situation, but now it was three against one and Byungcheol was just a tiny bit stronger than usual. This should be enough.
“Grit...!”
“You’re not even a real woman but you’re making noise.”
“How did she suddenly get stronger...!”
Yu Dahui took a massive wound and slammed into the wall. Byungcheol didn’t miss his chance and drove his spear straight into her.
Thud—!
“Hehe, you bastards...”
With the Absolute Pain Nullification blessing active, Yu Dahui felt nothing. Blood soaked the floor around where she lay.
“Huhu, I’m already done for...”
Players would swarm the room soon. And Elena, the Academy’s limited System Admin, would open it. The second she got caught, Byungcheol would be sentenced and execution awaited him. I couldn’t let that happen.
“I guess I’ll have to fuck that bitch to death.”
“Fuck off, you bastards...”
Dirty hands reached toward Yu Dahui. Right before she could activate Suicide Blessing, the door burst open.
I’d already chugged strength and agility potion and dopped them. I burst in like I’d just jumped from outside, panting.
“Dahui! Dahui!”
Only Yu Dahui lying there and three naked men showed up in my view. Especially Byungcheol trying to strip her naked. Pure rage. Rage boiled up from my chest.
“You fucking bastards!”
“You’re the last one...”
I pulled out a sword from my inventory and charged like a madman, stabbing Byungcheol.
He didn’t even react to the attack. He allowed the critical hit. Byungcheol collapsed.
[Life force is being drained.]
Effect:Draining the target’s life force to the marrow.
“This... betrayal...”
“Shh.”
I cut the white bald guy.
“Uncle, are you mute?”
“......”
I whispered in the short guy’s ear and cut him off too. Pant. Pant. Pant. Only my heavy breathing echoed in the blood-soaked room. It wasn’t hard, but I faked it as hard as I could. Because one audience member mattered—Yu Dahui.
“Phantom Skill activated.”
Oh right, I almost forgot the masked guy. I created a corpse for him too. I naturally sat down next to Yu Dahui. Wet voice, trembling hands—ready action.
“Dahui... Dahui... Are you okay...?”
Even a recovery potion was enough to save her. But I didn’t even bother. I had no intention of saving her. I’d just return to the first floor anyway. There were still a ton of things to do there.
“...Kim Jinwoo...”
Yu Dahui looked up at me with hazy eyes. Even without pain, resisting the coming succubus would be impossible. I squeezed her.
“Dahui... Don’t die... Don’t die, please...”
“Where... where is that masked guy...?”
“Over there...”
Following my finger, Yu Dahui’s head turned. The phantom masked man lay fallen. She shook her head.
“No... that’s not the masked guy...”
“Why? That’s the one you were talking about... the one who forced you...!”
“No. I didn’t feel anything at all when I saw him... So he’s fake...”
What the actual fuck. Why am I doing this nonsense?
“Kim Jinwoo... you...”
Yu Dahui grabbed my arm as if she had something to say. Her hand felt completely limp. This was probably her last word.
“Haa... I don’t know, but... I just... want to have sex with you... When I return, I’ll pin you down and fuck you...”
“Wha...?”
Those meaningless words were the last thing she said. She closed her eyes.
[Yu Dahui’s timeline resets to the first floor. I am pulled along with her. The script is still in motion.]
