The Date That Ended in a Scream
The moment I drank from the glass Sena handed me, I let out a groan. “Ugh…” My head spun as I frowned deeply. I set the glass down on the table and spoke up.
“Sena. Let me ask you something instead. Why do you keep following me around like this, huh?”
“Because I like you, Professor. Ehehehe~”
She answered my question with the bright, innocent smile of a child. Was it the alcohol? Unlike her usual self, that smile looked especially beautiful today.
“Sigh… I just don’t get why someone like you would even like me.”
“That’s because you saved me, Professor. What woman wouldn’t fall for the man who risked everything to save her?”
Sena casually brought up events from the previous timeline. Of course, she was completely drunk—she was simply stating the truth. She wasn’t scheming anything more than that.
“I’m not sure exactly what you’re talking about, but if it’s about the practical evaluation from a few days ago, it’s fine. If anything, I should have stepped in sooner before any of you were put in danger.”
“…….”
Following my instincts, I dodged the true intent behind her question. I quickly downed another drink.
-Gulp!
Feeling the burn slide down my throat, I turned my gaze back to her. When she stayed silent, I checked on her and found her already slumped over the table, breathing softly in sleep.
Looks like the date ends here.
“Boss. Check, please.”
I called the shop owner, settled the bill, then left with Sena on my back.
But where should I take her?
Taking her back to the church was impossible—she was passed out drunk. The moment a saintess candidate was seen like this, ugly rumors would spread like wildfire. Taking her to the mansion was no better.
Jane’s there, so that’s definitely not happening.
Nothing good would come from bringing her home. As I scanned the area for options, my eyes landed on an inn.
…That place doesn’t seem too bad.
It was mainly for adventurers, but anything was safer than sleeping on the street. Besides, the most expensive room in a place like that was usually decent enough.
Having made up my mind, I stepped into the building. The place was filled with the rough murmur of adventurers drinking and talking among themselves. I ignored them completely and approached the owner, handing over some gold coins.
“The best room you have, please.”
“Yes, right away!”
The owner’s face lit up with pure joy at the sight of the gold. He looked thrilled. Just then, I felt a prickling stare on the back of my head.
When I glanced behind me, the adventurers were staring at Sena on my back with blatant lust in their eyes.
Good thing I covered her upper body.
Otherwise her short skirt might have exposed her underwear. As I waited, the owner spoke up.
“Sir, the room at the very top floor is yours.”
He handed me the key and told me the room number. I nodded, took it, and headed upstairs.
“Mmm… Professor…”
Suddenly Sena rubbed her cheek against my face and hugged me tight. At the same time, an indescribably soft sensation pressed against my back.
She’s really big too.
It reminded me of what happened with Jane last time. Jane’s chest had felt obviously large, and Sena seemed every bit as impressive. As I climbed the stairs, savoring her scent and the warmth against my back, she suddenly whispered in my ear.
“I love you, Professor.”
Her voice was sweet as candy. I pretended not to hear and kept climbing. Before long, I let out a long breath.
I had reached my destination. I unlocked the door and stepped inside.
Not bad at all.
The room looked surprisingly well-equipped—far beyond what ordinary commoners could afford. It would be more than comfortable for a single night. I dropped Sena onto the bed with a soft thud. Just as I turned to leave—
Hmm. Hold on.
A thought crossed my mind. This was an inn. Sure, there was security, but it amounted to little more than locking the door. That wouldn’t stop a determined adventurer from breaking in.
Of course, who in their right mind would smash down an inn door?
Still, you never know. This wasn’t the modern world; it was a place where murder was commonplace. There were far more criminals here than back home, and plenty of them hid their crimes while pretending to be normal citizens—especially adventurers.
Leaving Sena here alone could lead to something terrible. Those men downstairs had already been staring at her drunk form with pure lust.
Tsk. Guess I’ll just stay here tonight.
If something happened to her after I left, I’d feel sick about it. Decision made, I pulled a book from my subspace ring to kill time and started reading.
At the same time, Rose—who had been monitoring us—spoke with a slightly disappointed look.
“Hmm. We didn’t learn anything useful.”
“Indeed. I never expected Lady Sena to be so weak to alcohol.”
“It must be her first time drinking.”
Her reaction while drinking had made it obvious to anyone watching. Normally people drank even bitter alcohol as if it tasted good, but she had looked like she was wondering why she was even consuming it.
Of course…
She still kept drinking it pretty well.
As Jane thought that, Rose slowly rose from her seat.
“Ugh. Then let’s call it a night and disband.”
“Now?”
“Right now?”
The other two widened their eyes in shock. Rose looked at them and continued.
“We’re not going to find out anything more anyway. And it doesn’t look like anything’s going to happen over there, does it?”
“That’s true…”
“I can’t imagine the young master making the first move on a woman.”
Elric had always kept up his iron walls until now. The only exception was when Jane had attacked him in the bath a few days ago.
But that only happened because I approached him first.
Sena was sound asleep right in front of him without even knowing he was there. There was no way he would initiate anything with her.
“Let’s disband, then.”
At Rose’s words, the other two nodded and they went their separate ways—completely unaware of what would happen next.
Elric was focused on his book, his back the only thing visible. Yet somehow that alone looked incredibly dependable. Sena gently wrapped her arms around him from behind.
“?!”
He flinched, shoulders twitching in surprise. Come to think of it, the professor always put up iron walls but seemed weak to this kind of skinship. Earlier when he carried me, he had tried his hardest to keep my chest from touching his back.
It was clear he had almost no resistance to it.
I should push a little further.
Thinking that, Sena whispered softly into his ear.
“Professor. Did you bring me here because you wanted to do this with me tonight?”
“Stop talking nonsense and get out already.”
“Hmm. For someone saying that…”
I’m being honest, though?
She trailed off, her gaze naturally drifting to his lower body. Even though she had only hugged him, he was already reacting. Seeing the proof, the corners of her mouth lifted.
She carefully moved her hand—
“Ahem!”
Elric cleared his throat. The sound made her heart pound wildly.
Thump. Thump.
She had thought she only liked being hit, but apparently that wasn’t the whole story. Normally she should do something more here, but the problem was that Sena had never even dated a man before, let alone been intimate with one.
So maybe that was why?
Uh, um… what do I do now?
She had no idea what came next. She was touching him carefully, but that was all—and even that felt incredibly awkward.
The next moment, their eyes met in silence.
Feeling embarrassed, Sena blushed and tried to look away. But—
“I guess I’m pretty drunk too.”
Elric gently caught her chin so she couldn’t escape. Their faces drew closer and closer until their lips met.
Thump thump thump thump.
Her heart pounded on a completely different level than before. Her face grew burning hot. She had felt her heart race when the professor hit her, but never like this.
The moment their lips touched, she lost her usual composure. Her long-cherished wish had come true, but she never imagined it would feel this good.
A little later, they slowly pulled apart with a sigh full of lingering heat.
Looking at him with a trembling voice, she said, “Professor… this is my first time, so… please be gentle.”
“Got it.”
Elric kissed her again. His hands carefully explored her body. Maybe it was the mood, but every sensation felt far more sensitive than usual. Each touch, each kiss, each breath and warmth from him was overwhelming.
The more they did it, the harder her heart pounded instead of growing used to it.
“Hng!”
She tried to calm her racing heart, but it refused to listen. While he continued to press her, Elric quietly met her eyes. Embarrassed, Sena tried to turn away, but he kissed her again as if telling her not to run. From his perspective it might have been meant to calm her, but it only made her heart race even faster.
With her hair disheveled and her mind half-melted, Sena surrendered herself to him completely.
“Professor… just a little gentler… hah!”
He seemed to have run out of composure too. Unlike at the start, cold sweat beaded on his skin as he drove forward. Even though she wasn’t bound, she couldn’t do anything except cling tightly to his back with one hand. With the other, she gently stroked his head, trying to soothe him.
She had no idea how much her actions were only exciting him more. Far from calming down, Elric grew even more aroused and pressed on harder.
Again and again, the two of them lost themselves in waves of pleasure.
—Or so the story goes.
Crazy.
No way. No matter how drunk I got, how could I possibly have done something like that with a yandere? I’ve kept iron walls up against all of them until now. To think I ended up in that kind of relationship with Sena just because I drank some alcohol…
This has to be Jukchang-i fabricating the whole thing!
-Waaah! Master, stop denying reality!
“No. That can’t be right. Come to think of it, you can transform into a human form, can’t you? So there’s no guarantee you’re telling the truth!”
Jukchang-i let out a sigh as if the world itself was pathetic. But before she woke up, I needed to get dressed quickly. Ignoring her sigh, I changed clothes in a hurry.
“Ugh…”
She slowly opened her eyes. The moment she did, she looked back and forth between her completely naked body and me.
Then—
“Kyaaaaah!”
She screamed, her face flushed bright red.
And so, my date with Sena ended with a scream.
As a side note, Sena said she didn’t remember anything from early that morning either. Of course, she answered with a slightly awkward expression, but I’m probably imagining it. As expected, Jukchang-i must have been lying.
At the same time, the Demon King let out a deep sigh after hearing about Zan’s fate.
“Hoo… I never expected Zan to fail.”
Unlike the previous timeline, she had even sent an executive this time. She had assumed the terror attack would at least succeed. Instead, it had ended in a miserable defeat.
Still, something feels off.
She recalled what he had said during his interim report.
By any chance, Demon King. Have you ever fought the academy students?
No matter how she thought about it, why bring that up in such a situation? There had been no reason to mention it. As she quickly turned the idea over in her mind—
Wait a second.
A single hypothesis flashed through her head. If she was right, it would explain why everything was so different from the previous timeline.
It wasn’t just me who regressed.
Yes. If someone else had regressed too, everything suddenly made sense.
Then the question is who.
Recalling the memory of that day, right before the regression a strange light had enveloped them—the man who had defeated her and his female companions. They were the most likely candidates. And among them was a woman who had fought her at least once.
I should focus on killing them before dealing with the hero. Especially that man.
The moment that thought ended, the Demon King fully recognized Elric as a true threat.
