The Date (1)
A few days later, the students’ free time finally came to an end. After what felt like an eternity, we were back to after-school classes.
“I’m so jealous of myself from a few days ago. I just want to play after school too!”
“Long live after-school classes! Uwa ha ha ha ha ha ha!”
“I wanna die. I wanna die. I wanna die. I wanna die. I wanna die. I wanna die.”
“This has to be a dream. Yeah. There’s absolutely no way this is real. Nope, not a chance.”
The kids had completely lost their minds. That five-day vacation must have tasted too sweet, because they were all flat-out denying reality.
I gazed at them with pity and kept swinging Jukchang-i when a voice cut in right beside me.
“Aaaack! Professor, please stop!”
If this had been before the performance evaluation, I might have paused for a moment. But—
“There are no time-outs in the middle of a fight.”
“Aaaack!”
When I thought about how these brats had nearly died last time, it only made me want to drive them even harder.
Can you even push them any harder than this, Master?
I’ll think about that later.
The moment I answered Jukchang-i and started wondering if there was a better method, something felt off.
“Huh?”
Contrary to what I expected, there was no feedback at all. Wondering if the kid had actually grown enough to dodge my strikes, I turned my head with genuine anticipation.
But what I saw was the opposite of what I hoped for.
“After just a few days off, their discipline has completely fallen apart.”
Sai had passed out earlier than usual. Even though I’d kept hitting him while he recovered, he’d already fainted again. So I gave him another taste.
Thwack!
“Uwaaaaack! I’m late!”
Apparently thinking it was still morning, he shot upright like a student who’d overslept. Then he looked at me and let out a hollow laugh.
“It’s not a dream. Fuck.”
“Watch your language in front of your professor.”
“Ah, yes. I’m sorry.”
When I held out Jukchang-i, he immediately bowed his head in apology. I waved him off and opened my mouth.
“Everyone, assemble.”
““Assemble!!””
The Class A students snapped into formation like fresh recruits who’d had their discipline beaten into them. I slowly scanned their faces.
“I’ll give you a ten-minute break first. Any objections?”
““…….””
“No objections, then. Ten-minute break.”
““Yes! Understood!””
The moment I finished speaking, break time began. At the same time—
“Professor.”
A sweet, seductive voice brushed against my ear. When I turned, I saw Sena looking up at me with a shy, blushing face.
Hmm? Why is she making that ominous expression?
Right? Master.
As Jukchang-i and I watched her warily, she lowered her head and fidgeted with her fingers.
“U-um… Could you please keep the promise you made last time?”
“Ah……”
Come to think of it, I had promised her one favor if she helped with after-school classes. A whole month had passed, so I’d completely forgotten.
Asking me with that kind of face… it’s probably going to be something weird as hell.
From where I’m standing, Master, you’re totally screwed.
No. I don’t know yet. If it’s weird, I can just refuse.
With that thought, I looked at her.
“Tell me what the request is first. I’ll decide after I hear it.”
“Ah, yes. This should be perfectly fine for you, Professor. Could you… go on a date with me this weekend?”
“……”
Fuck. What the hell do I do with this?
The promise I made was to grant a request I was capable of fulfilling. If she’d asked for something perverted like last time—spanking her again—I would have refused without hesitation. But this?
How the hell am I supposed to turn down a normal date?
There was no real justification to refuse a simple, ordinary date request. The only possible excuse was that she was my student and I was her teacher. But that only mattered back on Earth. In this world, it wasn’t exactly rare for teachers and disciples to become involved.
So it wasn’t much of a reason to say no.
See? I told you you’re screwed, Master.
I never imagined she’d ask for something as normal as a date.
In the previous round, those yanderes had only ever made bizarre demands, so I never dreamed this would happen. While I was frantically trying to come up with an excuse—
“Professor. You know there’s no valid reason to refuse, right?”
She whispered sweetly right next to my ear. It tickled, but I had bigger problems. After thinking it over, I finally gave up.
“Fine. Let’s meet this weekend, then.”
At my answer, Sena’s cheeks flushed as she smiled brightly.
“I’ll be looking forward to it, Professor.”
With that, she skipped away humming a cheerful little tune.
If you’d just stayed quiet, you could’ve dodged at least half of this, Master.
I should have kept my mouth shut.
When the weekend finally arrived, I was in the middle of changing clothes for my appointment with Sena when—
Young master. May I enter?
Jane knocked on the door from the other side. I quickly finished dressing.
“Come in!”
The door creaked open. Jane approached with her usual stoic expression, then carefully straightened my tie.
“Young master, your tie was crooked.”
“Ah, I must have rushed it.”
“No one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. However……”
“Hm?”
“Do you have an appointment today?”
Jane tilted her head, looking puzzled. Telling her I was meeting Sena would obviously lead to trouble, so I decided to keep it vague.
“I have plans, yes.”
“With a woman?”
“Ahaha, of course not.”
Under her icy gaze, I let out an awkward laugh and lied through my teeth. She stared at me suspiciously for a moment, but eventually returned to her usual blank expression and stepped back.
“I see. Then I’ll take my leave.”
She vanished from sight as gracefully as she had appeared. I tilted my head, watching her go.
Huh? Why did she come in if she didn’t have anything to say?
Maybe she just wanted to see your face, Master.
Well… I guess that could be it.
Dismissing it as nothing important, I headed out for my meeting with Sena—completely unaware that a listening device had been planted in my tie.
Around the time Elric left the mansion, Jane stood by a second-floor window, watching him walk away while communicating with Rose and Eve through a crystal orb.
I see. Then let’s meet up immediately. Just to confirm—you planted the listening orb, correct?
“Yes. I attached it inside his tie.”
Understood. Let’s meet at the rendezvous point.
With that, the three of them headed toward the meeting spot to keep watch over Elric and Sena’s date.
At the same time, Sena had dressed up more carefully than usual for her date with Elric. It was nothing excessive—just a nicer outfit and light makeup. Even so—
“Whoa… She’s stunning.”
“Insanely pretty.”
“Does she have a boyfriend?”
Her pure, innocent appearance only made the simple attire more charming. A soft pink skirt that reached her knees. A clearly expensive blouse on top. It was more than enough to highlight her natural purity.
Is this level of makeup okay?
While she checked her reflection in a nearby window, a familiar voice called out.
“Did you wait long?”
Sena turned and—
“Gasp!”
The sight of Elric made her unconsciously swallow. He was wearing his usual suit, but something was different.
His hairstyle changed.
His normally comma-shaped bangs were styled differently, revealing his perfect features that he usually kept hidden. She couldn’t help it.
Gulp.
She swallowed dryly, completely mesmerized.
“Hm? Why are you spacing out?”
“N-no reason!”
Startled by his question, Sena flinched and answered loudly. The people around them immediately turned to stare. At the same time—
“Honey? Why do you keep looking at that girl?”
“Huh? No, you must be seeing things. But you’re the one staring at that guy too much, aren’t you?”
“T-that’s not true, honey.”
The couple nearby was blushing while openly watching them. If they stayed here any longer, the attention would only get worse. Sena quickly changed the subject.
“P-Professor, let’s not stand here. Shall we go?”
“Sure. Is there somewhere you want to go?”
“Yes! Just follow me!”
She walked ahead, desperately trying to calm her pounding heart.
Sena led the way with somewhat awkward steps. I followed behind her, quietly surprised.
Without the yandere vibe, she really is beautiful.
The moment I first saw her today, my eyes had widened without me realizing it. I already knew she was pretty, but I hadn’t expected her to look this stunning when she put in the effort.
Master, are you still not thinking straight?
Just as I was about to retort, Sena spoke up.
“Professor, we’ve arrived.”
I looked where she was pointing.
“A play?”
Imperial Capital Theater Festival
She gave me a bright, sunny smile.
“Yes. Watching a play has been my wish for a long time.”
“……”
Before I trained her in the previous round, Sena had only ever followed the church’s orders. She probably never had any free time to enjoy herself.
“Alright. Let’s go watch it, then.”
“Yes!”
She smiled like the happiest person in the world and skipped ahead. Seeing her like that, I thought today would pass without any incidents.
At least until that event occurred.
