She Knew Everything
I’m fucked. I’m fucked. I’m so fu…cked?
The next morning. I opened my eyes looking like a goddamn zombie. Or more accurately, since I had zero memory of ever closing them, I simply greeted the dawn in the same wrecked state I’d been in all night. My eyes were rabbit-blood red, and the dark circles hanging to my chin made me look like a panda that hadn’t slept in three years.
Click.
That sound. The one that had hammered my eardrums last night. The sound of my big sis locking her door. It kept ringing in my ears like a hallucination, over and over, all night long. I lay in bed staring at the ceiling, running ten thousand different simulations in my head.
Maybe she just happened to lock it? Scared of bugs? A sudden gust of wind? Sleepwalking?
Bullshit. In seven years she had never once locked that door, and she chooses the exact moment right after I snuck out of her room to do it? The odds were lower than winning the lottery twice in a row. You’d have a better chance of getting struck by lightning while walking down the street.
Which means… this is a warning.
A silent warning that she knew I’d invaded her space. A final notice telling me not to come any closer.
“Aaaaaargh!”
I clutched my head and rolled around on the bed like a madman.
I’d lost it. Completely lost it. Kang Juhyuk, you insane son of a bitch. Why the hell did I do that? I never imagined the price of failing to control my lust and crossing that line would be this brutal.
How was I supposed to face her now? What if she told our parents? The mere thought of it made my stomach twist. Mom, Dad, actually Juhyuk snuck into my room at night and used my hand to… Just imagining it was horrifying. I’d get kicked out of the house and end up dying a miserable death in some tiny goshiwon studio.
All kinds of worst-case scenarios chained together in an endless loop. But even then, one question refused to leave my mind.
If she really knew, why didn’t she scream right then and there?
If she had screamed in that moment, I would’ve been arrested on the spot as a caught-in-the-act pervert. But she didn’t. She stayed perfectly still, like she was dead, until I left the room. Why?
The questions multiplied, each one birthing another. This wasn’t sustainable. I had to confirm it. I needed to test her reaction somehow and find out the truth.
Once I made up my mind, I left my room much earlier than usual. I claimed a spot on the living room sofa, turned on the TV, and began the performance of a lifetime as the world’s most casual son. Every nerve in my body, however, was laser-focused on the door at the end of the hallway.
9 a.m.
With a soft creak, my big sis’s door finally opened.
I pretended to fiddle with the remote and flip channels while sneaking glances at her.
Same messy bedhead as always. Same stretched-out gray t-shirt. Same baggy sleep pants.
But to my eyes, everything looked different. That oversized shirt seemed to be mocking me with a sneer that said I know what you did. Those baggy pants felt like an impenetrable wall screaming Don’t come near me, you fucking degenerate.
She walked to the kitchen, grabbed some water from the fridge, and drank it. Then she headed to the sink to wash the cup.
Shhhhhhh—
Normally she would’ve just rinsed it half-heartedly, but today she squeezed out dish soap and scrubbed the cup until it squeaked. And then…
The decisive scene caught my eye.
After finishing with the cup, she started washing her own hands.
And not just a casual rinse.
She washed them like a surgeon about to enter the operating room—between every finger, under every nail, with the meticulous frenzy of a germaphobe. Squeak. Squeak. The sound seemed to echo all the way to the living room.
Look at that! Look at those hand movements!
I screamed internally.
That desperate scrubbing, trying to erase my filthy traces! She wants to wash away the memory of last night! Like that’s going to make it never happened, you lewd big sis!
I trembled with absolute conviction.
But this was still only circumstantial evidence. I needed something concrete.
After she went back to her room, I decided this wasn’t enough. I needed direct proof—something undeniable.
After thinking it over, I decided to wait for her to use the bathroom. No matter how much of a shut-in hikikomori she was, she couldn’t escape basic bodily functions. I lay on the sofa like a corpse, holding my breath, waiting for the perfect moment.
Time crawled by.
Ten minutes. Thirty minutes. An hour…
Did her bladder have several times the capacity of a normal person? She showed no sign of coming out. I was the one about to lose my mind needing to piss.
That was exactly when it happened.
Creak—
The door opened. The sound of her slippers dragging across the floor. Destination: bathroom.
Now!
I shot up from the sofa like lightning. The instant I heard the bathroom door close, I slipped into her room. My movements were incomparably bolder and faster than yesterday’s.
The room looked exactly the same as last night.
I first checked the nightstand drawer. The tissues I’d used were crumpled up in the trash can. That was expected.
Then something new caught my eye.
Sitting conspicuously on top of the nightstand was an unopened bottle of hand sanitizer. The cute portable size sold at convenience stores, with a peach illustration on it.
…What the hell is this?
Did we even have something like this in the house? No one in our family used this kind of thing. Above all, this definitely hadn’t been here yesterday.
In that instant, every puzzle piece in my head clicked into place.
She must have snuck out to the convenience store this morning while thinking I’d gone to school. A hikikomori with severe social anxiety had braved the terrifying outside world just to buy… hand sanitizer?
No doubt about it.
My heart sank with a heavy thud.
She was awake. She was so disgusted she couldn’t stand it, so she went out and bought this. To completely erase my traces.
Goosebumps erupted across my entire body.
Before she could return, I hurriedly slipped out of her room and flopped back onto the sofa like nothing had happened. A short while later she came out of the bathroom and returned to her own room.
I was now 99 percent certain.
But I still wanted that final 1 percent—her direct reaction, straight from her own mouth.
Evening arrived, right before our parents were due home.
I planned one last test.
I grabbed the living room TV remote and knocked on her door.
“Knock knock.”
“………”
No answer from inside.
“Sis, come out for a second. The TV’s acting weird. There’s no sound.”
I acted as naturally as possible, playing the part of a hopeless tech idiot.
After a moment, the door creaked open reluctantly. She stared at me with an extremely guarded expression.
“Look. No sound at all.”
As I handed her the remote, I deliberately brushed her hand with a light tap.
It was the very same hand I had coveted so desperately last night.
In that instant—
Tremble—! Her body stiffened as if she’d been electrocuted.
She couldn’t even scream. She yanked her hand behind her back like it had been burned.
Then our eyes met.
In her eyes, there was none of the contempt or resentment I had expected.
Instead, her entire face flushed crimson with extreme shame. Her trembling pupils showed pure panic at not knowing what to do.
And… very faintly, beneath all those emotions, something sparkled. Curiosity? A pure, innocent wonder that seemed to ask, You… what exactly was that last night?
Bingo.
I cheered silently.
But this was a “bingo” in a completely different direction than I had anticipated.
She caught me… That reaction, those eyes. One hundred percent. One thousand percent. Big Sis knows everything that happened last night.
Without saying a word, her face red enough to explode, she fled back into her room. The bang of the door closing sounded unusually loud.
Left alone, even though I should have been terrified, I felt my heart pounding like crazy.
Fear vanished in an instant, replaced by an indescribable excitement and sense of conquest.
She knew. From the very beginning.
That I had entered her room. My breathing. My touch. Even the sensation of my junior against her hand…
She had felt it all while pretending to be asleep.
The most important fact: even though she knew, she hadn’t criticized or despised me. She was simply embarrassed, flustered, and even… curious.
It wasn’t that she was too scared to move. She just… didn’t know how to react.
The moment that thought hit me, heat surged through my lower body again.
This was no longer a one-sided crime. A secret between just the two of us had formed. No—something even more thrilling had appeared between us.
I returned to my room and picked up my smartphone.
No more testing. No more beating around the bush. It was time to charge straight ahead.
I watched the little “1” next to the message disappear, confirming she had read it, then lay back on my bed with a wicked smile.
So… how are you going to respond now, Sis?
