Drunken Follies Exposed and Anime Night with Yuu
I rolled the lemon candy Yuu had handed me around in my mouth while watching anime with her, then dove into serious work. There was just so much to do. Even working nonstop all day for the remaining time wouldn't be enough. But as a human being, checking in came first.
A moment later, replies came in.
Hold up. Drunk antics...? Feeling confused, I cautiously asked.
What kind of antics could cause this reaction? A chill ran down my spine as I carefully probed further.
Replies came right away.
"Ah."
I'd hoped it wasn't that, but clingy drunk? Super embarrassing.
I said that and immediately closed my phone. Staring at the chat would just lead to more talk about my forgotten antics.

"Here..!"
"Ah, got it."
It had been six days since Yuu and I started living together. We did everything in sync—waking up at the same time, working side by side, eating when hungry. After six days glued together, we could read each other's needs without much talk. Mostly because we sat at our computers grinding away all day.
Work isn't even that tough.
Maybe because I could watch Yuu work nonstop. Repetitive tasks didn't bore me.
Anyway, the endless-seeming workload was finally nearing completion. Thrilled, I turned to Yuu—
Oh, gotta try saying it in Japanese.
I paused. Since we were stuck together anyway, brushing up on my Japanese during the remaining time seemed smart.
Demo, hotondo owari mashita ne. (Still, it's almost done, right?)
Pronunciation was tricky, but worth a shot.
"Ahem."
I cleared my throat and carefully spoke.
"Demo, hotondo owari mashita ne..!"
Phew. Nailed it without stumbling—fluent even.
As I said it—
"Oh.. pronunciation good..!"
Yuu gave me a thumbs-up, still working with her other hand.
I tossed out another bit of my shallow Japanese knowledge.
"Arigato gozaimasu."
Yuu pondered, then—
"Gozaimasu skip..!"
She corrected me. Felt kinda nice, like we were bonding.
Scribble scribble. How much drawing had we done from our seats?
"Done..!"
"Me too."
We finished simultaneously. The collab with Komai Rito was perfect, and I'd wrapped up Yuu's Electric Man manuscript just in case.
"Kuhhhh.."
Confirming it was over, we collapsed onto the mattress without a word. Good thing I'd picked an apartment with extra space. A smaller one might've gotten awkward.
Lying there scrolling my phone, Yuu cautiously rolled toward me.
Gotta be more careful.
Her outfit in a guy's room, rolling around so defenselessly—it was wild. She saw the world so positively, I guess.
Anyway.
"Sino-san, Sino-san."
"..What's up?"
Asking that, Yuu blushed faintly and said carefully,
"Shower.."
"Ah."
Yuu wasn't dirty—super clean, actually—so living together had no real issues.. except baths. Couldn't shower together, so one showered while the other waited outside.
"I'll hit the convenience store quick. Take your time."
I grabbed my wallet and jacket, heading out. Couldn't just loiter in the hall, so I bought simple drinking snacks nearby.
"13,000 won."
"Card."
Nothing fancy: two cans of beer, a bag of mild chips. As I paid and left, the group chat popped into my head.
No way she saw that too.
Sigh. Couldn't ask Yuu.
Lost in wild thoughts, my phone buzzed.
30 minutes—about right. Even for a girl, it felt a tad long, but whatever. I climbed the stairs to my apartment lightly.
The door lock beeped familiarly as I opened up, warm humid air rushing out. Lemon shampoo scent hit deep.
"I'm back..?"
Kicking off my shoes, I froze entering. Yuu's post-shower look was a bit provocative. Comfy shorts below—but the top. Damp, clinging to her body.
Is this okay? I glanced at Yuu, but she tilted her head innocently, like what’s the problem?
Am I the weird one?
I'd need experience with girls to judge. Objectively, no private parts exposed. Just slight see-through undies from moisture.
Shoving stray thoughts aside, I forced casual,
"Got beer—want some?"
She's leaving for Korea tomorrow; might as well have fun tonight.

"...You sure it's okay?"
"Hai!"
Yuu chugged cold beer refreshingly, full of energy. If things got weird, just end the stream.
She loves streaming.
Thinking that, I started the broadcast.
> Broadcast started.
Viewers poured in with the notification. I waited for them to settle.
About five minutes later.
Viewer Count: 201
Ridiculous compared to before. Probably some came to use Suihwa's gifted subs. Still, the crowd felt lively and nice.
"What's wrong with a solo guy drinking mukbang? You guys are too much."
Hot take, huh.
"I barely filter anyway. No need to call it a hot take."
Nothing to soapbox about—I call out what bugs me live. Oh, right.
"Forgot to mention: Japanese friend joining again today."
"New anime dropped for watching together, so we'll chill with that, sip some booze. Stick around if you wanna chat. No drawing today."
What? Why so hyped? I like focusing solo on anime, so I didn't get the love fest—but no reason to kill the vibe, so I shut up.
..Kinda looking forward to anime with Yuu too.
"What anime..?"
"Not sure, but I heard it's an older one."
"Oh.."
What was the title? Famous one, I thought. Checking the Anime Watchalong channel for the latest upload.
Horizon Gate
Eh? Wait. Isn't this Yuu's fave?
Curious for her reaction, I glanced over—Yuu's face was flushed beyond imagination.
"This'll be funnn..."
Red cheeks, voice brimming with excitement.
..This watchalong was gonna be a blast.
