Do Not Disturb Mode is Essential
After Komai Rito acknowledged me, the community was burning up hot. And not just anyone—it was the guy who'd always made it blatantly obvious how much he hated Korea.
*Chirp chirp. Morning sun rose as usual.
"Gahhh..."
And just like that, yesterday's events came rushing back crystal clear.
I couldn't even bring myself to pull out my phone.
X-Net notifications were probably piled up sky-high.
Should I just bail?
Of course, I had zero intention of actually doing it.
If I had a talent to freely morph my art style to whatever I wanted, I'd delete the account and vanish—but sadly, no such talent yet.
I let out deep sighs, replaying yesterday in my head.
So, the account I'd been hiding my identity on got exposed, and Komai Rito—the infamous Korea-hater—left a comment saying he had no choice but to acknowledge the art.
...Hmm.
Objectively, the situation wasn't bad.
A living legend had basically said my art was right up his alley.
A Korean's art, no less.
But the problem? It pulled massive aggro.
This wasn't your average aggro—Komai Rito-level aggro wouldn't die down quick.
Best move in times like this: lay low, don't poke the bear.
With that in mind, I logged into my X-Net alt account and cautiously checked others.
I don't do other communities besides X-Net, so I couldn't grasp the full picture, but aggregating X-Net posts gave me the gist.
I was plastered across every community out there.
Provocative keywords everywhere, so they were spreading like wildfire.
Nothing lawsuit-worthy though.
"Haa..."
Shouldn't have looked.
Sighing deeply while spinning my pen—
Suihwa sent the ticket schedule.
With a slightly annoying line attached.
Suihwa wouldn't ask for anything crazy.
Videos? Sure, I could do that.
Looked like a vacation for Suihwa, but she was actually going for work.
Two weeks from now.
This'll be fun.
Not that my current mess was pleasant, but still.
I double-checked the schedule.
Depart Thursday, return Sunday.
Event Thursday to Saturday.
Sunday free.
Could solo it, but no real urge.
Felt like tagging along with Suihwa for some VIP perks.
With those thoughts, I finished some backlog anime.
*
The next day.
"Why're you here so early today?"
"Gotta start living right, been too much of a slacker."
"Hmmm... Doubt you'll stick to it."
"If not, oh well."
As usual, before class with Yujia, we arrived early to the lecture hall for chit-chat.
"By the way, you see yesterday's chaos?"
"What chaos."
"The guy Komai Rito praised turned out Korean, those accounts went nuts."
"...Haven't been on lately, no clue."
Didn't wanna drag this topic out.
One slip and perceptive Yujia might suspect me.
Her intuition's on another level.
Never met anyone as sharp.
She spots most lies instantly.
Steering the convo away—
"Hng..."
Tap. Tap.
Yujia drummed the desk, staring right at me, then spoke.
"Well, if you don't know, nothing to do about it."
Awkward silence hung for a bit.
Then—bzzz.
Message from Suihwa.
And right then, an intense stare hit me.
...Should've had Do Not Disturb on.
