Why Do They Like This?
At that very moment, not just the Comic Works Gallery that occasionally relayed Yujin's broadcasts, but other galleries started buzzing about his stream too. Specifically, the Streaming Gallery—a place dedicated to talking about internet broadcasts. Though its vibe was shifting a bit lately, at its core, it was all about streamer chatter. Unless some massive political scandal hit, it was nothing but streamer talk. And right now...
Reactions that started off negative toward Yujin gradually turned positive as time passed. Especially rare in the Streaming Gallery, where they hated admitting anything good.
Part of me wanted to spill everything to Suihwa right then. She was the closest among my acquaintances and knew the most about streaming. But...
Absolutely not.
I didn't want her finding out I was streaming. And that made me understand. Why she'd always been so embarrassed about her own broadcasts. That's why. I'd thought uploading YouTube videos was no big deal, but live streaming meant tons of embarrassing stuff if friends heard it. Like exposing your flaws or something.
I should treat her to a meal sometime. I'd cluelessly joined her streams and spammed screenshots without knowing.
"Haa..."
Anyway. Never expected viewers to top 1,000. Predicting it was pointless anyway. They'd hovered around ten forever; a sudden surge like that was unreal. Even for an attention whore like me, that kind of spotlight felt overwhelming.
So I made a decision. Tomorrow, a stream viewers would hate. Something with a way longer runtime than usual.
The next day.
Haha. My shoulders puffed up involuntarily. I'd worked hard on it, but that level of praise? Way beyond expectations. Felt like they overhyped it. But hey, not complaining—mood lifted as I fired up the stream. Two hours a day was no sweat anyway.
> Broadcast started.
The "broadcast started" alert popped, and viewers flooded in.
Warm welcome from the viewers. I smiled back, checking the count.
Viewer Count: 32
Big difference. Last time it was around ten—a massive leap. Percent-wise, like 300% growth. Anyway.
This is manageable. I'd worried it'd explode way more, but false alarm. Relief mixed with a touch of embarrassment. I'd freaked out over nothing and prepped all sorts of stuff.
Agh. Kinda feels pro streamer now.
"Watch-alongs are only what I wanna do. I've seen most stuff anyway, so only rewatches that are fun."
Planned to stick to fun rewatches. Can't cover everything.
"Yawn... Anyway, got something prepped today?"
I pulled it out. "Anime OP Ideal Type World Cup...? Brought this."
Looks fun on the surface, but probably not popular. That's why I chose it.
Who'd stick for a marathon stream like this? Yesterday's watch-along drew crowds due to its format, but newbies with long-winded content lose viewers fast. Not like pros with pro banter from day jobs.
Glanced at chat—
Chaos erupted.
What the—
"...You guys like this?"
128 songs? At least six hours. And they like it? Totally off-script.
Thought they'd hate it. Why do they like it?
"...Hmm."
Fine, do this today since I mentioned it. Next time, something they'd really hate.
