Chapter 32. Second Day Working at the Motel
Chapter 32. Second Day Working at the Motel
Yoon Hyeonyoung. Kim Arin. Choi Yuri.
Beautiful Korean-American CIA agents.
Rookie agents deployed to the most important mission in U.S. intelligence history.
They were women prepared to complete any mission—but the reality they faced was very different from what they’d imagined.
Work from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Twelve total hours of work excluding two hours for meals. Two days off a month. Room and board provided.
10,030 won per hour.
Even just by minimum wage, they should be paid 3.4 million won a month.
If you included weekly holiday pay and night shift pay, they should be getting around 5 million each.
But the Owner / Sajang, with his potbelly, said the work wasn’t hard, there was plenty of downtime, and in reality they only needed to work about half of that—then offered 2.1 million won a month.
Even under Korean labor law, it was a clear violation and an employment scam.
They’d promised they’d work hard with innocent, clueless faces.
Their goal was to infiltrate undercover and gather information, so work conditions didn’t matter much.
But after working the first day, this was a serious breach of contract.
If you were going to make people work this much, you had to pay at least double.
The bigger problem was that they had no time for their real job—intelligence gathering.
So this morning, they planned to meet the Owner / Sajang and the Manager / Jibaein and formally protest.
Their role was to get hired at the motel and work normally.
Not protesting under these conditions would be abnormal.
At dawn, new orders came down from above.
Since they couldn’t install surveillance devices inside the motel, they were to use human resources as much as possible to monitor it—and depending on the situation, one of the three was to use a honey trap on Choi Cheolmin.
A honey trap.
Their eyes lit up like, so it’s finally here.
Honestly, a mission that used their looks sounded easier than cleaning.
But you need the target in front of you to pull it off.
If they spent the whole day doing hard labor like yesterday, they wouldn’t have the time or leeway to run a honey trap.
To complete the operation, they had to improve the work conditions.
From the photo, Choi Cheolmin was tall and handsome, but maybe because he’d lived a rough life, his expression didn’t look that good.
But when did agents get to be picky?
Even if he was bald with a tadpole belly, if it was the mission, they had to fall in love.
But when they actually saw Choi Cheolmin from Room 105 in person, they couldn’t stop being shocked.
They’d seen plenty of handsome men, but the real Choi Cheolmin was beyond imagination.
Skin so white and flawless you wouldn’t see a pore even with a magnifying glass, and eyes, nose, and lips like sculpture.
When he smiled gently at that annoying Assistant Manager Kang, it felt like their hearts actually thumped.
It was like time stopped until Choi Cheolmin walked out the front door.
Hyeonyoung, Yuri, and Arin looked at one another and burned with fighting spirit.
They skipped lunch and ordered sexy items online—underwear, garter belts, stockings—requesting same-day rush delivery.
Fortunately, today’s counter staff, Chanhyeok, wasn’t as strict as Kang Chan had been yesterday.
They cleaned as efficiently as possible.
As long as the sheets didn’t have anything stuck on them, they shook them out and reused them.
They only wiped the dirty parts with a rag, so each room took about one to two minutes.
Because they’d scrubbed every corner yesterday, today the rooms looked clean with just basic tidying.
Yesterday, when they cleaned forty overnight rooms and forty short-stay rooms properly, they hadn’t had even one minute to rest from morning until clock-out.
But today, out of a twelve-hour shift, it felt like they could slack off for about eight hours.
This was normal. Yesterday had been abnormal.
“Choi Cheolmin is coming back to the motel. ETA ten minutes.”
Yuri checked the message and told Hyeonyoung and Arin.
“Good thing he’s coming after the items arrive. So—how do I look?”
Arin checked her reflection in a maid outfit that exposed the top half of her chest.
“Perfect for catching men’s eyes. But isn’t it too much? You can’t clean in a skirt that short.”
Hyeonyoung said as she clipped the garter belt clasps onto the top of her thigh-high stockings.
“Our mission isn’t cleaning. It’s intel collection and seducing a target. This is what it takes.”
Yuri said while applying bright red lipstick.
They rushed through cleaning sloppily, then spent the whole day focused on their appearance.
By afternoon, they had transformed into perfect, sexy roommaids—looks that would make any man turn around.
But even then, they were still anxious, like something was missing.
Compared to the perfect looks of Choi Cheolmin they’d seen that morning, everything felt lacking.
Yuri—practically their leader—warned them again.
“Get it together and remember. We’re not dating. We’re seducing a man because the operation requires it. And right now, all three of us are seducing him at once, but if Choi Cheolmin focuses on one person, we support her completely.”
“Ugh… I don’t like making men cry. But I guess I’ll have to make another one cry again.”
Arin said, checking the mirror and swaying her chest side to side.
Hyeonyoung smirked.
“Worry about yourself not crying. You always bawl when you break up.”
They were quietly fueling their competitive instincts.
Choi Cheolmin was that attractive.
They all acted like they weren’t, but they each wanted him.
“Then let’s pretend we’re going down to clean the lobby.”
After getting fully prepared, they pushed the cleaning cart down to the first floor.
The moment three beauties came down in dizzyingly revealing maid outfits, the Manager / Jibaein and Chanhyeok stared with wide eyes, stammering.
They already knew the girls were young and pretty, but seeing them dressed up like this, they didn’t know where to look.
“We didn’t have official maid uniforms, so we bought them ourselves. If we wear matching outfits while working, it’ll improve the hotel image too. What do you think? Is it okay?”
Yuri spun in front of the Manager / Jibaein, who was sitting there with his mouth open.
Her short skirt lifted, revealing the safety shorts underneath and the garter belt.
“Uh… y-yeah. That’s… really admirable. This is… well… wow…”
Manager Yoo Donggeun couldn’t find words and just stumbled.
“We’ll clean the first-floor lobby and go back up.”
“Ah… okay. You’re really doing well. Handling things on your own like this…”
Donggeun didn’t even know what he was saying anymore—he was too busy scanning their bodies up and down.
At that moment, the door opened and Cheolmin walked in.
Just like in the morning, his face was glowing.
The CIA-dispatched roommaids who’d been waiting for this exact moment threw everything into their acting.
“Oh my! Hello!”
“Welcome back!”
“Hello!”
One was cleaning the corners of the lobby with a duster,
one was wiping things down with a rag,
and one was cleaning the windows—then naturally greeted him as he came in.
Half-exposed cleavage, long legs in suggestive stockings.
One of them wore an outfit that showed her navel.
Cheolmin froze for a moment at the sudden scene, then nodded and greeted them.
“We’re the new roommaids starting today. Please take care of us.”
Whether Cheolmin was flustered or not, they sang the greeting together like idols, pushing forward with sheer momentum.
“Yes. Please take care of me.”
Cheolmin avoided them, asked the Manager / Jibaein for a cup of mix coffee, and went into the back office behind the counter.
It was 5:55 p.m.
He knew Kang Chan usually woke at six to eat, so he hurried back in time.
He’d been thinking about what local place to treat Kang Chan to today, but no matter how he looked, this neighborhood didn’t have anything beyond tuna sashimi or beef restaurants.
Everything else required driving out.
So, beef again?
As Cheolmin texted Kang Chan asking if he wanted to eat, the door to Room 102 opened and Bella and Lauren came out together.
“Huh? Why are you two together?”
Cheolmin asked, and Lauren answered with watery eyes.
“K-drama is so fantastic. I cried for a long time!”
But Bella, with a sulky face, scanned the three roommaids cleaning the lobby and asked what they were eating today.
“Beef. There isn’t really anything better than that around here.”
“Hm. The old ways are the best.”
Bella said with a serious expression while stroking her beardless chin.
Right then, the elevator opened and I came out.
The three cleaners in the lobby stiffened, tense the moment they saw me.
Was it because I nagged them too much yesterday?
They froze more than necessary.
But today was my day off, so I had nothing to say to them.
“Brother, let’s go to the beef place again today. If you’re sick of it, is there anything you want to eat?”
The three cleaners were pretending to clean while eavesdropping on our conversation.
They seemed very interested in Cheolmin hyung, and they were watching closely how gently he treated me.
“How could I be sick of it? Let’s go. But are Bella and Lauren coming again today too?”
My question carried the meaning that if they’d been freeloading this much, shouldn’t they pay at least once?
But Cheolmin hyung, always the one footing the bill, smiled kindly.
“Of course. It’s nice eating together in a group. Let’s all go!”
Then Arin—slender in some places, but somehow never looking fragile—shot her hand up.
“It’s our meal break too. Can we come along?”
“Huh? Ah… then. We’re basically family—should we go together?”
The headcount kept growing.
It was the staff meal break anyway, so they could come, but I’d glanced around while coming down and saw they’d done a completely sloppy cleaning job today and were trying to score free beef.
That attitude annoyed me a little.
But like I always say, the one paying makes the decisions.
“Yes. Come with us. You’re the ones keeping the rooms we stay in clean, so I should treat you to a meal.”
“Oh my! Thank you! You’re really amazing.”
At Cheolmin hyung’s easy approval, they tossed aside their dusters and rags and swarmed after us.
But those outfits…
They looked like something from a Japanese comic.
It was my first time seeing people dress like that in real life.
Seven people eating beef.
I tried not to think about the price.
If I were the one paying, my hands would be trembling.
But Cheolmin hyung, saying business had been good lately, just kept smiling even as the orders kept piling up.
“Ah… so the three of you are working right now?”
“Yes. It’s our first time, so we’re still lacking. Yesterday was really hard to keep up with. But Kang Chan taught us a lot, so we barely managed.”
Hyeonyoung, seated beside Cheolmin hyung, wrapped a lettuce beef ssam and fed it into his mouth while talking.
“Ah. Thank you. But it must be hard with only three of you. Before you came, six of my brothers were doing that work. Even those guys—who like to think they’re tough—said it was really hard. This won’t do. Tomorrow I’ll tell the owner to add more staff. It’s impossible for the three of you to handle it all. Ah… or better yet, tomorrow I’ll send three of my brothers for the time being, until new people are hired.”
At Cheolmin hyung’s decisive words, the three CIA agents’ eyes sparkled.
Maybe Cheolmin really did speak as nicely as he looked—his thoughts were showing on his face.
As for me, if three more Isu Gang brothers came to work, I’d be grateful, so I didn’t want to get involved.
My only concern right now was eating even one more piece of meat than Bella.
I was eating slower than even Lauren, and Lauren—from the land of steak—looked like she was eating leisurely, but she was stuffing three pieces into her mouth per bite.
And the three cleaners’ appetites were no joke either.
Raised on Korean food, I start getting greasy after a certain amount of beef, but they didn’t seem to have that problem—they were inhaling it.
“Fantastic. I love Korea!”
Lauren shouted after slamming a cold shot of soju-and-beer, looking genuinely happy.
It was hard to believe she was the same woman who’d been crying earlier about the drama being sad.
After dinner, Cheolmin hyung asked if I could give him sparring guidance.
He said the power behind his attacks was so strong that he couldn’t train in a normal kendo dojo.
But his swordsmanship was still beginner-level, and he wanted to refine it with something more practical.
Why not?
The cash hanging between the motel’s signboards was basically all money Cheolmin hyung gave me.
Even if he asked every day, I’d do it.
On the rooftop, Cheolmin hyung took off his shirt and attacked me, channeling inner power into his sword.
But his attacks never reached me.
No matter how strong you are, you need to hit to do damage—but Cheolmin hyung’s sword always missed me by the slightest margin.
When I told him to swing a real sword instead of a wooden one, he hesitated at first.
But once he realized he couldn’t hit me no matter what, he started attacking with every bit of strength he could produce.
As the attacks continued, the inner power flowing through his Ren and Du meridians began to run down his arm and into the sword.
After countless swings, Cheolmin hyung started to understand how to make his attacks more destructive.
Before long, the inner power stored in his dantian was flowing into the blade.
It was already midnight?
Hearing the cleaners coming up after finishing work, I moved into a corner and crouched down, watching Cheolmin hyung swing his sword.
But maybe he was in a trance—alone under the moonlight, shirtless, swinging a real blade—because he didn’t notice them.
The cleaning team came up, saw the scene, and each one covered her cheeks and mouth in shock.
They looked like obsessive fans who’d just seen a celebrity in person.
