Witch Ursula (2)
The wind howled as I swung my knife, and a powerful vortex formed beneath the water, twisting into a tornado that raced straight toward Ursula.
“Haaam.”
Ursula yawned lazily at the incoming assault, her octopus tentacles twitching once as if swatting away a bothersome fly.
“Crazy…”
The tornado that had been spinning with insane force shattered apart the moment her leg moved.
I didn’t stay idle either.
From my inventory I pulled out the M16 and aimed the barrel straight at Ursula.
Normally, a gun underwater would be useless, but the special property of the firearm allowed it to fire even in water.
Target Lock
※ Locked onto a single target.
※ Bullet attack power increased by 200%.
Tu tu tu tu tu tu tu!
Bullets roared underwater as they were fired. The power was slightly reduced compared to above water, but the shots still looked deadly as they streaked toward Ursula.
But it was useless.
Even though I didn’t know how strong those tentacles were, the attack was blocked without any defensive move.
“No more fun toys for me?”
Ursula looked at us with eyes full of amusement, as if we were interesting little playthings.
Alligator Summon
📍 Location: Haeundae Deep Sea
🎁 Reward: Min-cheol’s Life
Ten Alligators materialized instantly and rushed toward Ursula.
“You’re controlling these things?”
Ursula didn’t even flinch as they came closer. She had already fought one earlier, so she knew their strength.
But I wouldn’t have sent them if I didn’t know.
Bomb Placement
Powerful bombs were planted on the Alligators.
The moment Ursula wrapped her tentacles around their necks to kill them!
Kwa kwa kwa kwang!
Kwa kwa kwang!
Explosions boomed right in front of us. The blasts were powerful enough to deal serious damage.
But it was all my imagination.
After the smoke cleared, Ursula stood there completely unharmed.
“How dare you do this to my cute little Alligators!”
She was furious at the bombs I had planted on them.
In the blink of an eye she was right in front of us.
“Fast…”
I had no time to react.
Ursula moved with a speed that even my high agility couldn’t follow.
Even underwater, that was too much.
Thud!
“Kuek!”
Her tentacles slammed down on my body like a giant hammer, sending a heavy shock through me.
And it wasn’t over.
One tentacle wrapped around my neck, squeezing with terrifying force.
I struggled desperately to break free, but it was useless.
“Kuek…”
Just as I was about to pass out from lack of air.
※ Sure-Hit
※ Arrows will accurately hit their designated targets.
An arrow flew from somewhere and struck Ursula’s head.
But it shattered harmlessly against her tentacle.
“Elf?”
Ursula glanced in the direction of the arrow and saw Elena. Her grip on my neck loosened slightly.
“Huk! Huk!”
Thanks to the slight release I could finally breathe, but the tentacle was still squeezing.
Ursula dragged us all toward Elena.
“An elf! Ah! This is a gift from the heavens! Will you trade with me?”
Ursula stood right in front of Elena, eyes sparkling.
“Trade…?”
“Yes. If you trade with me, I’ll spare all of you. How about it?”
She squeezed my neck harder while saying it.
Elena, seeing that I was in danger, nodded.
“Deal!”
“No! I don’t know what kind of deal—”
I had no idea why she was agreeing to this, but it was obviously a bad idea.
“Shut up. If you save me, I’ll stay quiet.”
This time she wrapped us all in her tentacles, including Min-cheol and Perion.
“Come inside.”
Ursula began dragging us into the cave.
What kind of deal was she trying to make with Elena?
I struggled desperately to escape, but her strength was overwhelming.
“Come this way.”
Ursula was strangely gentle with Elena.
Why was she being so kind to her?
“What kind of trade is it?!”
Without answering, Ursula started inspecting the potions she had made, picked one up, and approached Elena.
“What do you want from me?”
“I want only one thing from you.”
“What is it?”
“Your beautiful voice.”
I tilted my head at the words.
After all, Ursula’s voice was a bit raspy and rough.
But Elena’s elven voice was beautiful enough to be tempting.
This scene felt familiar, like I’d seen it somewhere before.
Was it just me?
Or maybe not.
More importantly, how exactly did one trade a voice?
“My voice?”
“Yes. Your voice.”
“But how?”
“Don’t worry. Just drink this and it’ll be taken care of automatically.”
Ursula shook the potion she had brought earlier.
Drinking it would change my voice.
“Damn it. If I let this happen, Elena will really make the trade…”
I wanted another way, but Ursula’s tentacles bound my entire body.
At that moment.
Kuung!
A loud sound and vibration echoed from somewhere.
Clang!
“What?!”
The potion slipped from my hand and shattered on the floor.
“You damn humans!”
The vibration had come from the imprisoned people using their abilities to escape.
They hadn’t scratched the glass walls, but they had definitely provoked Ursula.
“I have to make another one!”
Ursula clicked her tongue in irritation and stared at the broken potion.
Thanks to that, we bought a little time.
“Stay here!”
Ursula shoved us into a corner and began brewing more potions in front of Elena.
The people inside the glass tried various methods to escape, but soon gave up and fell silent.
“Hyung. What do we do now? If we keep going like this, Elena will…”
“I know…”
Elena was truly in danger of losing her voice.
But there was no other way.
Honestly, she was too strong.
A Named Monster on a completely different level from normal monsters.
Who would have guessed that just having that name would make such a difference?
“Think. There must be a weakness.”
Even if the monster was ridiculous, there had to be one.
※ Monster Weakness Identification [Lv-1]
※ Identifies one weakness of a monster.
- Beginning to identify Ursula’s weakness.
- Weakness identified.
- Weakness is ‘electricity’.
Electricity.
Yeah, that made sense. Ursula was a sea creature, so she was naturally weak to it.
“Where do I get electricity from right now… Ah!”
I quickly opened my inventory and checked the items.
The Minotaur’s Horn I had obtained from killing the Minotaur.
“This should work.”
Being a 5-star item, it would definitely release a powerful electric current.
But there was one problem.
“It’s underwater.”
Using this item underwater would spread electricity everywhere, including to us.
It could put all our lives at risk.
“I have to lure Ursula out.”
While I was thinking, Ursula had finished making the potion and was transferring the liquid into a new bottle.
“Here! It’s ready.”
Ursula approached Elena holding the potion, ready to make the trade.
Just as Elena was about to accept.
“Wait!”
“What?”
“How do I know you’ll release us if Elena drinks it, or that you’ll just kill us?”
“Do I look like I’m lying?”
“It’s possible!”
My words weren’t wrong.
After all, people had been backstabbing each other a lot lately.
Maybe Elena would just drink the potion and then kill us.
“Hah. Funny. Then what should I do?”
“Trade above water.”
“Above water?”
“Yes. If it’s not above water, there’s no trade.”
I gave Elena a sign, and she agreed.
“Fuhaha. If you think I’ll run away the moment I go above water, you’re mistaken. Even if you’re above water, I can easily kill you.”
“Then trade above water.”
“Good.”
Ursula took us out of the prison and led us to the surface.
We emerged onto Haeundae Beach.
After that, Ursula approached Elena holding the potion.
“Now keep your promise.”
She handed the potion to Elena.
“Drink this and your voice will be inside it.”
“Then I can’t speak?”
“Well, yes. If you want, I’ll give you my voice.”
At those words, I imagined Ursula’s voice coming out of Elena’s mouth and shuddered.
“Now.”
I used the opening created by Ursula’s distraction to activate my special ability.
Invisibility
My body became transparent.
I approached Ursula carefully while invisible.
Thud!
“Tsk. Backstabbing like this is troublesome.”
Even with Invisibility, I couldn’t escape her instincts.
I was caught by her tentacle.
But that was the plan.
“Eat this!”
I stabbed the Minotaur’s Horn straight into the tentacle holding me.
◈ Powerful electric current release
※ 『Minotaur's Horn』 is used.
※ A powerful electric current is released from the horn.
Crackling!
