The Bizarre Mother Zombie
Pressing on, Xiao Yi peered through the blood-smeared glass and saw the dining room beside the kitchen completely empty. The dining room's front door hung open, several rotting corpses sprawled across the floor.
The room below had no windows, just a sturdy security door shut tight. Until he scouted it properly, Xiao Yi wasn't about to barge in recklessly.
But pressing his ear to the door, he caught faint sounds like rats scurrying, mingled with barely audible squeaks.
At the power room's iron door, Xiao Yi rapped lightly on purpose, then listened closely.
After a long moment, no suspicious noises—just the intermittent drone of a motor starting and stopping. He figured it was the generator humming away.
Once he was sure it was safe, Xiao Yi pulled out the chainsaw, yanked the starter cord, and set to work violently slicing through the door's lock in the middle.
This electric cutter was damn effective, but the noise was deafening. The second it roared to life, the motor's bellow and the whir of the blade kicked up a racket that echoed everywhere.
Zombies were hypersensitive to sound like that. Fire up the chainsaw, and every shambler within two or three hundred meters would go berserk.
As he cut, Xiao Yi mulled over finding a quieter way to crack locks. The chainsaw was simple and brutal, but its flaws were glaring.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Roar!~~ Roar!~~
Grraaah grraaah grraaah!~~~
From upstairs and the kitchen below came pounding on doors and windows, zombies howling in frenzy.
Not far off, the iron gate separating front and back yards rattled with clang clang clang impacts.
Click! The power room's lock finally gave way under the saw.
And right then, the iron door burst outward from inside. A nimble, squat figure lunged at Xiao Yi, claws flailing, teeth bared in a snarl.
It happened too fast—Xiao Yi hadn't even reacted before it was in his face!
This thing was way quicker than any regular zombie!
Zzzzzz~~~~~ No time to think—Xiao Yi swung the chainsaw hard.
Blood and flesh sprayed. The monster let out a piercing wail as the blade tore roughly from its cheek down to its chest, severing half its neck. Its head lolled grotesquely to the side.
Xiao Yi stowed the chainsaw in a flash, gripping his modao sword, and backed up a step, eyes locked warily on the freakish zombie and the dark power room beyond. Only when he was certain the coast was clear did he hack off the remaining half of its neck, ending its death throes.
"Goddamn it! What the hell is this thing?"
Xiao Yi stripped off his gore-soaked shirt, wiping the splattered blood and chunks from his face and hair. He dropped to one knee, scrutinizing the bizarre zombie.
It was stark naked, utterly hairless, with pale blue skin—like some alien from the movies. Barely 1.4 meters tall, but its bulging eyes were huge, blood-red pupils glaring. Proportions all wrong: squat, yet sporting a pair of massive pale-blue tits. Spreading its legs, Xiao Yi saw a human woman's pussy right at the crotch.
"Looks like a mother zombie..."
Xiao Yi stared oddly at the wound, dark blue blood still gushing out. A chill ran through him.
This zombie was worlds apart from the others! Beyond the hairlessness, blue skin, dwarfed stature, and warped body, it was almost human in form.
And when he killed it, no rot stench—just a faint fishy tang and a peculiar, alluring body scent!
"What the fuck is going on?!" Xiao Yi gaped, stunned by the revelation.
This wasn't some zombie—it was more human than monster!
From the way it ambushed him, he was dead certain: this thing had intelligence. It knew to hide and strike from surprise.
Regular zombies? No chance.
Glancing one last time at the corpse, Xiao Yi tightened his grip on the modao and crept cautiously into the power room.
He had to check if there were more of these freaks inside.
This bombshell discovery left him deeply uneasy.
