G4 and the Coffee Club
"Kwaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!!"
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt
The singularities hurtling toward their bodies swallowed them instantly, stretching them out long like strands of spaghetti. Not stopping there, they began to spin, twisting and crushing their entire forms in a dehydration-like agony from the sheer acceleration.
Kwa-gja-ja-ja-jak
The moment that shockwave hit its critical point, their bodies tore outward, snapping even the gluon chains into plasma, and ignited into flames.
Fwooooooooosh
The acceleration intensified, converting mass into energy in massive losses that triggered chain nuclear explosions. These promptly converged at the central singularity within their bodies, detonating mercilessly in sequence. Naturally, they had no time to regret their deaths or even beg for mercy—they simply perished in abject horror.
"Living as refuse from a white hole suits your fate rather well."
With that, I dispatched the Strange Zombies in one fell swoop and turned back toward Earth.
This time, I need to settle the permanent member issue too. With China and Russia crippled by their nuclear self-destructs, only three nations have been handling those roles so far. If things continue, fractures will emerge among them. So, if possible, I should push for the G4—Germany, Japan, India, and Brazil. The Coffee Club won't sit idly by, of course, but if they form their own economic bloc in exchange, that changes everything. It's about forcing a choice: cling to political power at the cost of economic gains, or stabilize economics at the price of political instability. Take India—for instance, whether to position it as ASEAN's core or grant it a permanent seat.
Europe's got the EU as a solid example, and with Russia—the biggest threat—gone, Germany's already a shoo-in. Japan and Brazil, though? Their relations with neighbors are rocky enough; better to table them for now.
Of course, this only works if I'm steering the mood solo. In reality...
I teleported to Brussels and began my address at NATO headquarters. Thirty minutes later, the heads of state filed into the chamber to greet me.
"Sylvia Cleas Lennox, United States National Security Advisor."
"Ah, a pleasure."
I let the interpreters introduce me to each leader rather than doing it myself. It drove home the vast gap in stature—no room for backtalk that way.
The permanent member system persists precisely because of the yawning chasm between superpowers and minnows.
With the pleasantries done, I plunged into the heart of it.
"Gentlemen, let's proceed to the main agenda. We're electing two new permanent members to replace China and Russia, whose qualifications have lapsed."
"What? No, that's...!"
"Why on earth would we...?!"
"And I nominate Germany and India."
The room erupted.
"Absolutely not!"
"Why them of all people...!"
"At the very least, India qualifies as a voice for the Third World. China and its chief puppet Pakistan no longer have the standing to speak like you do. Don't play both sides now after staying silent so long."
At my words, the Third World leaders voiced unanimous support.
"Yes, exactly!"
"The era of superpowers dominating the UN is over!"
"Democracy means hearing everyone!"
That sealed it. Soon, Coffee Club nations would stifle dissenters backing India by voting for the other G4 candidates they oppose.
"Ah, then we support Germany's permanent membership!"
"We back Japan's!"
"Wait, no—where's that coming from?!!"
"No, we're not forcing you into the Coffee Club. You're the ones betraying now!"
The fiercer the brawl grew, the clearer the final authority became. With this leverage over UN permanent seats, I could override UN police powers, quash anti-nuclear movements, and bar reckless nuclear development. Russia and China had already self-destructed once; no cosmic war could eclipse that. Earthly dominance hinges on nukes. Space colonization is just beginning, and hippie terrorists prioritize revenge over settlement—they drain planets dry and discard them. But these self-proclaimed normals birthed those terrorists, so they crave Earth most desperately, clinging to past glories of prosperity. They'd sacrifice their lives for it without hesitation.
"You all seem addicted to this incomprehensible notion of 'love' for the land. How badly do you want to be buried here? What matters is how much this Earth values you. If it's come to this, why not prioritize economics? China and Russia lost military might on Earth, but their economic and tech prowess lingers. Perhaps deny India the ASEAN helm in exchange for no seat—or grant the seat but sever ASEAN ties for independent growth."
The room fell silent. Nominal permanent members like faded China and Russia no longer chase lost glory; they focus on pioneering progress. What excuse did these leaders have?
Even those devoured in the past hadn't preserved their vaunted ideals—they weren't slaves plotting rebellion against doom. Lacking free will, they should've been strategic or ultimate weapons crushing foes. But no.
"Economic growth—isn't that your top priority right now? That's why my America hasn't officially joined the war. If this mercy offends you, I can comm Mephauric right now and tell your endangered citizens to renounce citizenship for..."
Those who grasped the implication cowered in terror.
"N-no... not at all!"
"Y-yes... as you say!!!"
"Some of you still don't get it..."
As I subtly moved to lock their nations' weapon IDs, they opted to heed me fully.
"Very well. Reflecting the majority: India joins ASEAN. No more questions. Germany leads the EU by merit alone. Japan? Still riddled with idle classes no better than Strange Zombies, running society on machines while hypocritically scorning the unproductive—mere drains on food and water from the machines' view. Brazil hasn't wrecked the world only because it lacks the power; their South American antics disqualify them from rivaling America. They should thank the Monroe Doctrine for sparing them European overlords, by their own logic."
With that wedge driven deep, we resolved the thorny issue in my favor. Riding the momentum, I secured NATO-only EU forces, including military police and judicial powers. To mask it, I balanced by letting the Coffee Club—fierce G4 foes—form their own cooperative army, despite zero common ground. Naturally, my brother and I could ID-lock all their gear anytime, and our nanomachines already coursed through them, controlling emotions, minds, and enhancing bodies.
India, now ASEAN head, expanded economic sway, ushering prosperity to Southeast Asia. My words tanked Brazil's standing further, leaving South America at OAS mercy. Migration to America surged, but our tech-adapted U.S. needed them not—exporting it instead forestalled their labor shortages, raking endless profits while stoking anti-Brazil grudges into wars and plunder economies that eroded governments. In such states, public-private lines blur, legitimacy's nil; let the warmongers fight, build mercenary cred, ship to space as UN forces.
Japan doubled down on export-led growth, freezing minimum wages amid shrinking elderly spending, youth wage stagnation, and low-value industry persistence—competing with developing nations it couldn't outcheap, spiraling into profit erosion and wage stagnation. India's ASEAN integration accelerated Japan's decline, ultimately eclipsed by Korea inheriting Moon's New Southern Policy and Yoon's Indo-Pacific framework. Korea had to ditch vaunted ethnic identity for profit, but who cared? Low birthrates would've doomed it otherwise.
All this because China and Russia couldn't whimper at America anymore. My maneuvers fattened U.S. coffers too—paving free trade let firms expand from Mephauric, turning warring machines and hippie terrorists into cogs of corporate logic.
This is algocracy in society, politics, economy! The ideal world. Just feed the masses, house them comfortably, clothe them well? Turn 'em into fat, dumb pigs. Wallow carefree, oblivious to the slaughterhouse—bliss!
