Communication Master in Training – My Maid Magic Goes Viral
Two hours had passed since my maid magic started spreading by word of mouth. Even the people inside the supply base had come out to the spectator seats, adding their applause to the mix.
"This is the Maid Universe Triple Flame Tornado Peace! Thank you very much."
"Waaaaaaah!!!!"
What magic should I do next? I was pondering as I started running out of ideas when a bell rang that swallowed up the applause.
Ding ding ding-!
Nyanyanyang.
"Captain!! Ghouls are swarming from all directions!!"
"Looks like the vampires really showed up...!"
Serious faces for one second. Then everyone's calm gazes turned back to me.
"Is this guy insane? Right now?"
"V."
"Didn't you see the sky on fire...?"
"VV."
"What should I do?"
"We'd just get in the way. Grab some popcorn, soldier."
If things followed the scenario, a perfect encirclement without a single gap would close in, and the army of death would soon devour this place. All living things would be trampled. Then the ghouls would completely dismantle the civilization Serbein had built. And I'd have to wander alone looking for people to communicate with again...
"!"
A chill ran down my spine as memories of my past life resurfaced. Protect humanity's civilization at all costs.
"I'll be right back."
"M-My benefactor...! Even so, going alone is too dangerous...!"
"??"
Seeing Ravina's worried eyes, I realized something. A proper maid wouldn't worry her master. My maid service still had a long way to go.
"Ravina. I'm always fine. The dangerous ones are the vampires."
"P-Pardon?!"
"I'll show you. That there's nothing to worry about anymore."
Maid Points acquired.
Ah. That was too cool. To perfect the coolness, I should sortie before they can respond. Time to run.
I created ice platforms in the air with freeze magic, reinforced my leg strength with aura, and leaped up.
"She flew?!"
And I came back down at the captain's astonished shout.
"It's more like jumping than flying."
"She jumped?!"
"Thank you for the quick correction. This time, I'll show you walking."
"She really flew?!"
"Thank you."
The captain seemed to want to see me fly, so I decided to do it. As a bonus, I set up a dome-shaped barrier to keep the base safe. My mana was infinite, so burning through it like this had no effect on my condition.
This should keep things safe while I'm gone. Time to sortie for real. Flying with wind magic is slower than repeated aura leaps, but it lets me maintain my grace.
Up high. Up higher. Just keep flying until I touch the sun.
Why does a maid fly? I was about to ponder this philosophical question when a more important issue came up.
What if the sun doesn't like uninvited guests? I'll make an appointment and visit later.
"Kerk?!"
"Kyak!!"
Flying maid's tactical bombing. I started gathering fireballs at my fingertips—then stopped.
Thinking about it, bombing without a greeting is rude.
Let's go one by one, slowly. Thud—I landed on the ground, grabbed the hem of my skirt, and greeted gracefully.
"Hello. I'm Han Yuyeon."
For some reason, the ghouls were backing away, but I approached slowly.
"Let's communicate..."
I wanted to become a communication master.
An hour after attempting to communicate with the ghouls, I had to admit I wasn't a communication master yet. Hing hing hing. No matter how much I listened, I couldn't get a feel for it. Was kyak a greeting? Or kerhek?
It wasn't polite to hold up busy people this long, so it was time to wrap up.
"Kehihek..."
"Excuse me, ghouls. May I pass through?"
"......"
"Thank you."
Language didn't connect, but politeness did. The ghouls understood. I slowly walked through the path that parted like the Red Sea, heading toward the vampire.
"Hello. I'm Han Yuyeon."
"...@#!@$... @!!@$... human..."
Oh. I could understand some words. They must have studied language to blend into human society. It was natural, but meeting one face-to-face made it fascinating. Their speech was still a bit clumsy, but who masters a foreign language right away? The vampire looked cool for trying to minimize awkwardness.
"I struggled so much with foreign languages, but you're amazing, vampire."
"Kihik..."
"I'll learn your language too. What does kihik mean?"
"F-Food... kihikiki..."
"I see. What does kihikiki mean?"
"F-Food...!"
"The exclamation point made the difference. Thank you for telling me."
Ziiing—red energy swirled around the vampire's eyes. Then a sinister aura shot from the staff embedded with a blood-red orb.
The aura pierced me instantly, and
"Kishit...!"
Nothing happened. As expected, Maid's Grace nullified even the curse. But showing I'm fine would be rude. I knelt on one knee and asked,
"Ugh. It hurts so much. But what does kishit mean?"
"Kishit...?!"
Another aura flew. Nothing happened again, but I knelt on the other knee too.
"What does kishit mean?"
"Kiiiiik?!"
"What does kiiiiik mean?"
For some reason, I read terror in the vampire's eyes. The ghouls approaching to devour me were slinking away in fear. Why? I thought I'd been polite enough. Was it rude in vampire society? Still, I'd proven communication was possible, so I asked,
"Would you consider retreating?"
"Kyaaaak-!!"
"No, then."
The vibe suggested kyaaaak meant 'no.' No choice, then. As a maid of humanity, I had to do my job.
I concentrated mana at my fingertips to form a sphere, packed it with more mana to accelerate the spin, reinforced my body with aura, and fired.
A roar that devoured sound, and the vampire vanished. The ghouls behind vanished too.
Oh dear. But no blood, bones, or flesh splattered, so it wasn't too cruel, right?
I greeted any viewers again.
"I'll keep the intensity in check from now on. Thank you."
I drew double Maid's Grace peace signs with my hands and dealt with the remaining ghouls. I wanted to resolve it peacefully, but the berserk ghouls couldn't communicate anymore. No one to talk to, so boring. Believing viewers were watching, I spoke to the air.
"Would burning the ghouls be too intense?"
"If I burn them to ash... it won't show... so maybe it's okay..."
"Yes. The ghouls need nirvana too, so burning it is."
Maid's Grace double peace enhanced. Maid Flame Grace double peace. I compressed max firepower and sent the ghouls to nirvana in one hit, then looked up to feel the sunrise.
Hmm. Taking out the escaped ghouls too might take a while. With the barrier up, I can take it slow.
Rustle rustle.
Maid Points acquired.
I pulled out my maid mansion from the Maid's Subspace Pocket. What to eat for breakfast? Breakfast was serious business.
After Han Yuyeon's 2F broadcast began, the Tower Gallery was analyzing her actions in real-time.
She can handle aura too. Impressive on its own, but that's not the end.
The gallery was basically a festival. Han Yuyeon. You're strong. Way beyond our imaginations. Not toasting to her Hell-difficulty massacre would be heresy.
The endless bait heated up the Tower Gallery until suddenly titles flooded with question marks. Yuyeon had reacted to chat.
The impossible event sent the Tower Gallery into chaos. Conventional wisdom: Hell difficulty climbers can't see viewer chat. Viewers knew their voices wouldn't reach, but typed anyway to show support and that many backed her.
But... Yuyeon reacted. To 'burn the ghouls,' then 'nirvana'—proving she could see chat.
That realization sparked humanity's fiercer cheers.
Chat could only cheer anyway. No sponsorship or aid possible. If it were a normal stream, donations would be open—but the demonic Tower didn't allow it.
Cheering in chat, mixed feelings in gallery.
Then a backup plan emerged.
We all become her eyes and ears to find clear methods together.
Collective intelligence time. Show how great it is.
As the Tower Gallery steeled itself, Yuyeon, pulling fish from her cleavage to cook, murmured softly.
"Is it morning on Earth too? Everyone, make sure to eat breakfast. Let's all live long and healthy lives."
Her casual words were powerful enough to briefly quiet the gallery's fervor.
